I’m taking time out from caring for my premature special needs newborn daughter because I am furious over the actions of Congressional Democrats and the ignorant rhetoric from Barack Hussein Obama.
Mr. Obama had the audacity to call anyone who points out the stupidity of his insistence that Americans inflate their tires and get regular tuneups in order to avoid increasing domestic oil production by drilling off-shore or in ANWR ignorant when it is the Democrat Party and their enviro-nazi tactics which brought about our dependence on foreign oil to begin with. The Democrats put in place the moratorium against drilling off-shore. It was Democrats which created over-reaching environmental regulations making nearly impossible and certainly expensive to drill domestically and build new oil refineries. And it is Democrats led by Speaker Pelosi who abruptly gaveled the House of Representatives into recess before considering proposed legislation to allow drilling.
And what of Mr. ‘Hope’ and ‘Change’? He says that we can save the equivalent of drilling by inflating our tires and getting regular tuneups. What kind of moron is he anyway? Does he think every American car on the road is operating with under-inflated tires? And what car produced after 1985 requires what is known as a tuneup? I thought those went out with the introduction of electronic ignition being standard and distributor points went the way of the Do-do.
It seems to me that this is the same advice given to Americans after the Dems hamstrung domestic oil production in the 1970s when Iran got froggy by capturing US citizens and holding them hostage throwing the US economy into recession because of an oil shortage. “Tuneup your car, check your air pressure, and drive under 55 MPH!” Hence the song by Sammy Hagar, ‘I Can’t Drive 55′. So what kind of ‘Change’ does regurgitating old 1970s Democrat rhetoric represent Senator Obama. Somehow I don’t find reason to have ‘Hope’ that you or anyone else in your Party will facilitate an end to Americas dependence on foreign oil.

Boehner: “This dangerous path would limit freedom, stifle innovation and entrepreneurship, and kill American jobs”
WASHINGTON, DC – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today sent a letter to Kevin Martin, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), urging him to keep the Internet free of new Washington regulation. He issued the following statement accompanying the letter:
“Recent media reports indicate the FCC is poised for massive, unprecedented regulation of the Internet. This dangerous path would limit freedom, stifle innovation and entrepreneurship, and kill American jobs. Internet regulation is a solution in search of a problem. We should maintain the ‘hands off’ approach that has served the Internet, the American people, and our economy so well.
“The wild success of the Internet and the wireless industry are perfect examples of what happens when entrepreneurship and innovation are allowed to flourish. Endangering ongoing innovation in our economy by crushing the entrepreneurial spirit of the American people is the wrong approach, pure and simple.”
Mrs. Gribbit gave birth to a baby girl on July 24 at 11:38am EDT.
Gribbit will be out of pocket for the next several weeks.
UPDATE 7/28:
Baby Gribbit is in what is known at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as the Regional Center for Newborn Intensive Care (RCNIC) and will be there for about 2 weeks.
The surgery to close baby Gribbit’s spinal cord defect was successful and a VP Shunt was implanted to drain spinal fluid from the ventricles of her brain. She is off the ventilator and soon will be off IV fluids. We’re hoping that she’ll begin feeding by bottle soon but until then she’s being fed via a tube.
The Neurosurgeon reported that there was little damage to her nerves. The nerve that goes to her blatter looked to be the only damaged nerve. He suspects that she will have full function in her legs with some weakness in her ankles.

As we contend with High Priest Al Gore and his rantings about man’s contribution to the greenhouse effect through our use of fossil fuels, we should probably take a look at history. We know that the island known as Greenland is covered by a glacier and not very green. We also know that Greenland got its name from the Vikings who settled there during a period known as the Medieval Optimum or the Medieval Warm Period. The Medieval Optimum occurred between approximately 900 - 1300 AD and marked a substantial period of sustained warming far above what we are experiencing today as evident in the following graphic.

D’Aleo says about Greenland in particular:
Temperatures in Greenland were actually colder in the 1980s and early 1990s than anytime since the 1800s.
In late 1990s, when the Atlantic warmed, temperatures rose, but have not yet reached the peak set in 1930s and 1940s.
Icecap depth is increasing in the interior but now eroding in some areas near the edges as they did 70 years ago, but not due to global warming, just natural cycles in the Atlantic
This brings up the subject illustrated in the graphic, not only was Greenland colder in the 80s and 90s it was warm enough during the Medieval Optimum to farm the land which is now covered by a glacier. Hence the reason why it is called GREENland.
In the same respect, we shouldn’t ignore the MDI’s hysterics when it comes to Greenland and the Arctic. They like show images of the ice melting but what they aren’t telling you is that the footage is being shot during the warmest months of the year. They like to decry the plight of the polar bears and claim that they are dying because of the melting ice but what they fail to remind you about is the fact that polar bears can swim and prefer to swim in cold waters. They speak about the sea ice decreasing but they fail to mention that the interior ice is getting thicker. These being true, what else are they not telling us? How about the manipulation of the computer models from which they derive their manufactured data for instance? A computer will tell you anything that the programmer wants it to tell you. Hence the data used in High Priest Al Gore’s Power Point Propaganda Presentation also known as An Incomplete Deception err An Inconvenient Truth.
Truth be told, the whole hysteria driven green movement is based on lies. Lies popularized by High Priest Al Gore to boost his personal wealth. He is heavily invested in companies who develop wind and solar technologies. That means the more hysterical you get over our nation’s use of fossil fuels the richer he gets. Haven’t you ever wondered why he preaches to us about our use of fossil fuels but yet leaves his limo idling in the parking lot? Or how about his jet setting around the world in a private plane giving speeches attempting to convince you to curb your energy consumption? Or how about his wanting us to conserve energy in our homes and give up incandescent light bulbs in favor of those incredibly expensive compact fluorescent light bulbs while his home uses 19 times the energy that the average American household uses? He is on a quest to save this planet from itself no matter how much money it costs you with the promise of getting more wealthy along the way. What a guy huh.
Fact - Greenland was once farmland.
Fact - Global Warming Alarmists refuse to define what the ideal global temperature should be.
Fact - Change is the only constant when it comes to the climate.
Fact - No one - especially High Priest Al Gore - knows what tomorrow holds for global climate temperatures.
Fact - Keep in mind that some of the same people who are predicting global catastrophes are the same people who attempt to predict local weather forecasts. They can’t get an accurate 5 day forecast right, do you really trust them to tell you what global temperatures will be like in 10, 20, 30, 50, or 100 YEARS from now?
I don’t and neither should you.
