Rudy Hit Single Digits; Hillary and Obama in a Cat Fight

January 10, 2008 Election 2008, News, Presidential Candidates View Comments

In the Rasmussen Reports latest Daily Presidential Tacking Poll (dated 1/9/08), former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani hit single digits for the first time since announcing. Rudy is currently polling at 9% which is last among the top 5 in the race. Currently The Huckster is leading with 22% followed by Mitt Romney and John McCain sharing 2nd place with 19%. My man Fred Thompson is holding on with 12% in the latest Tracking Poll.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton still leads but only by 1 percentage point. She is currently polling at 32% with Obama (31%) in a statistical tie given the likely margin of error. Still rounding out the Dems “top tier” is Johnny “The Breck Boy” Edwards with 19% according to Rasmussen Reports.

*The Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll samples likely Primary Voters in each given party. The margin of error is not published.
