American Liberalism, The Death of Individualism, and The Hive Mentality

For decades American Conservatives have been attempting to awaken the apathetic American public to the dangers advocated by liberals who infiltrated and took control of the Democrat Party. Now the far-left dominates the thinking of that party and we are now in a position to finally make our point. But is it too late?

In 1999, Joe Sobran wrote an article called The Hive, illustrating the group mentality of modern day socialists. That essay written nearly 9 years ago rings more true in today’s political climate than ever.

Today we have a mentality in the political left devoid of individual thought. Although individual thought is dead among the left of today, they can act independently, seemingly on instinct, for what they believe is the greater good of their cause. Of this Sobran said:

In a beehive, the worker bees have many specialties. The hive is organized around the queen bee, but she doesn’t have to give the workers their instructions. The bee that finds pollen returns to the hive and flies in figure eights; this tells the others the direction and distance of the pollen, and they go get it. And of course the bees need no orders to attack an enemy.

Members of the progressive Hive likewise act on their own instincts and have their own code of communication. They feel free, but they are also predictable. Liberals laugh at conspiracy theories that assume that because there is a pattern there must be some central control; but the fact that there is no central control doesn’t mean that there is no pattern.

We see this in the blogosphere especially. If a Conservative Blogger says anything that threatens their positions they then in turn gather their swarm and attack the Blogger as bees do in Sobran’s example.

As much as I admire Joe Sobran’s analogy of The Hive, I think a better description of modern liberal thinking would be The Borg. A collective of beings devoid of individual thought working for the greater good of the collective without regard to themselves. Or at least that’s what they tell themselves.

If modern day liberalism is The Borg or The Hive, my personal opinion is that Hillary Clinton is vying for the position of Queen. The collective seems to be supporting that power grab.

For years the liberals have snowed the apathetic Democrats into believing that Republicans, Conservatives in particular, march in lock step as if we were non-thinking beings; robots without regard to individual thought to boost the evil consumer driven capitalist society. But the truth is they are the non-thinking bots of the blogosphere. Doubt me, test it. Go to Daily KOS* and just read. Each diary writer parrots what is being said in the other diaries. Nothing original, nothing truthful. Daily KOS* is filled with vitriolic conspiracy theories and personal attacks. Go to any diary on ScienceBlogs* and read anything printed over there. Pay a visit to Kevin the Chimp or Fatso Eddie and you will see that they haven’t anything original to contribute to the national debate. They troll Conservative blogs and attack the Conservative messenger. I seriously believe that if anyone who writes diaries for KOS or ScienceBlogs had an original thought the shock to their systems would cause instant death.

*Note – This site does not and will not link to far left sites. If you wish to take me up and read these sites for proof simply Google Daily KOS or Science Blogs. From there you can surf around the “Hive” and read for yourself. Then you will see that I am telling the truth.

I think you are on to something. Look at Billy Joe and Meatbrain. All they do is troll conservative blogs and then attack the writer as an enemy of the collective.

Billy Joe spends all his time on me, I think he has a man crush…
