What If?
If is the biggest 2-letter word in the dictionary. Hind sight being 20/20 and all, one must ask the question “what if” as one reflects upon one’s life. One choice made one way instead of the other could lead a life down an entirely different path.
For instance, would Sen. Joe Lieberman have backed Sen. John McCain had his own party not thrown him under the proverbial bus in 2006? And if not, would Sen. McCain still be in the hunt to secure the GOP Nomination for President of the United States?
What if Sen. Fred Thompson had jumped into the race for the GOP Nomination with the so-called fire in the belly that he seemed to portray in the last 30 days of his candidacy? Would he still be in?
What if FredHeads like me decided to abstain from the nominating process post South Carolina and not back any of the remaining candidates? Would Mitt Romney be seeing the resurgence in his Florida campaign? Would Rudy be 4th in the polls?
These questions may never get answered but it is worth contemplating… What if?
