Have you ever seen the original 1962 version of ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ staring Frank Sinatra? Mrs. Iselin played by Angela Landsbury ran her Senator husband (James Gregory). He kept spouting off numbers of how many Communists were in the Defense Department and the number wasn’t ever the same. He even asks her at one point if they can settle on one number painting a picture that he was a brain dead moron. Obviously since it was made in Hollyweird, the Senator was supposed to be a Republican. Especially since his opponent in the film Senator Jordan (John McGiver) gave the money he won suing Mrs. Iselin for slander to the ACLU.
What gets me is in all the speeches that Barack Hussein Obama gives, there is a mysterious lack of details. Change is mentioned but never what kind of change and how. Hope is mentioned but hope in what? This is fueling the idea that Barack Hussein Obama is an empty shell, but for whom? That may be the biggest mystery of all.
Perhaps it is for William Ayers, or Louis Farrakhan, or worse…
Richard Geno of ChronWatch has an excellent article up comparing this year’s Presidential campaigns to those of the 1968 Presidential election. Geno compares Hillary to Hubert Humphrey and Barack Hussein Obama to Robert F. Kennedy and Eugene McCarthy. Both failed to get their Party’s nomination. Humphrey beat McCarthy in the fight for the nomination and Kennedy fell victim to an assassin’s bullet in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
Like Kennedy and McCarthy, Barack Hussein Obama is running as the 100% anti-war candidate according to Geno.
Barack Obama is playing the role of Bobby Kennedy and Eugene McCarthy. Both Kennedy and McCarthy took stands early in the political season to be 100% anti-war. Barack Obama has done the same thing. Sticking close to the Hollywood script, Barack has two last names that are both memorable–Hussein and Obama (or as Teddy Kennedy first introduced him a few years ago: Osama).
Isn’t it ironic that Teddy “The Lush” Kennedy is one of Barack Hussein Obama’s strongest supporters in the Senate?
Clinton is mired in a campaign fight that seems she cannot win. Like Humphrey in the General in ‘68, she can’t seem to get enough traction to over-come Hussein Obama’s charismatic hold on his rabid followers. If she cannot win big in Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, she may as well drop out. As Geno puts it…
The stage is set for two campaigns. First, the Young Turks of the Democrat Party (in this case played by one man with two names) running against the Old Guard who claims to have 35 years of experience. Then, the winner will face a runoff against the person who would be the oldest first term president in U.S. history.
Like the hold Jim Jones had over his Kool-Aid drinking minions in 1978, Hussein Obama has rock star status and like almost all rock stars is ready to fizzle out as he begins to face a different opponent in the real race for the Presidency. He has been able to ride a wave of support largely based on his rhetoric and empty platitudes. Once the people realize that he is vastly underqualified to become the leader of the free world he will go the way of the Betamax and 5 1/4″ floppy disk.
What I’m really wondering is if Hussein Obama can survive the recent revelations about his ties to terrorists? This nation has been at war with Islamic Terrorist since 2001. Terrorists have been at war with us since 1994. He is allied with a domestic terrorist named William Ayers. He received an endorsement from Louis Farrakhan which he refuses to reject. Where is the public outrage?
Also like ‘68, there is a massive protest being planned for the Democratic Convention in Denver this August. Anti-war protesters are trying to “Recreate 68“. What I wonder is Denver going to get out of control like Chicago did? Geno wonders as well…
All we need is a mayor from Chicago named Richard Daley, and we would have the stage set for the wildest convention since 1968. Amazing as it seems, we do have a man named Richard Daley as the mayor of Chicago. Can we expect riots in Denver in August?

Enter the Nixon Character – John McCain. McCain has many of the Party Faithful disillusioned. His “checkers” incident is a string of anti-Conservative pieces of legislation. McCain-Feingold which quelled free speech and favors Democrat backed Unions and 527 groups, McCain-Kennedy which would have (if passed) granted amnesty to upwards of 20 million illegal aliens, and McCain-Lieberman which would pose huge punitive taxes on companies in the name of “global warming“. The right was hoping for a Barry Goldwater/Ronald Reagan type and we got Richard Nixon instead. Or actually, Gerald R. Ford.
McCain has a lot of work to do to win the hearts and minds of Conservatives; but he seems disinterested in doing it. He had an opening when the New York Times printed that slimy article about him. A piece so distasteful that their own Ombudsman denounced it. But McCain didn’t take advantage. He had to go on CNN and denounce Bill Cunningham for using Barack Hussein Obama’s full name 3 times. Wrong move Johnny.

This week, John McCain did something risky. He denounced Bill Cunningham’s statements about Obama to buddy up to Independent and Moderates. The Moderates will stay if he don’t pander to them and the Independents are likely to split if he doesn’t. However, by pandering to them, the Conservatives that were starting to get on board with McCain after the New York Times sliming, are starting to think that he doesn’t care about us or what we stand for.
Independents are fickle. They always have been because they are indecisive people. These are the people who stand in line at Starbucks and don’t know if they want a Latte or a Cappuccino, caf or decaf, these are the people who stand in line at MacDonald’s and have known the menu since they were 6 years old but still can’t figure out what they want inside of 10 minutes (or at least it seems). They are fence sitters. Non-committal idiots that are worse than the Politically Apathetic American Lemmings, they are the Politically Apathetic American Ostriches. They bury their heads in the sand until they vote and then they spend 10 minutes looking at the names on the ballot saying to themselves mentally, “Oh I don’t know…”. So why pander?
McCain thinks that because he is a so-called maverick, he’s going to gain the Independent vote because he’s not beholden to anyone – especially his own Party. Problem, Conservatives expect him to hold true to his Party and to us. Because if he don’t, he’ll have a hard time in his only 4 years in office.
McCain is 71 years old. This is his last shot. And if anyone thinks that he’ll serve more than 4 years they’ve got another thing coming. He’s 4 and out whether the nation elects as Republican in 2012 or not. By then he will be 75 years old and by the end of that term he’ll be pushing 80. He can’t afford at this point to abandon Conservatives. Independents will break the way they break. The lefties are holding true to their base, why isn’t McCain?
It is a matter of their aging population. Chinese officials are looking at possibly dropping their one child policy. However, they will not be doing away with their “family planning” (abortion) programs altogether according to a Reuters article.

China, worried about an ageing population, is studying scrapping its controversial one-child policy but will not do away with family-planning policies altogether, a senior official said on Thursday.
With the world’s biggest population straining scarce land, water and energy resources, China has enforced rules to restrict family size since the 1970s. Rules vary but usually limit families to one child, or two in the countryside.
“We want incrementally to have this change,” Vice Minister of the National Population and Family Planning Commission Zhao Baige told reporters in Beijing.
“I cannot answer at what time or how, but this has become a big issue among decision makers,” Zhao added. “The attitude is to do the studies, to consider it responsibly and to set it up systematically.”
The average number of children that would be born to a woman over her lifetime has decreased to 1.8 in China today, from 5.8 in the 1970s, and below the replacement rate of 2.1.
China says its policies have prevented several hundred million births and boosted prosperity, but experts have warned of a looming social time-bomb from an ageing population and widening gender disparity stemming from a traditional preference for boys. emphasis mine SOURCE
All boys, no girls, and an aging population. That is a recipe for extinction. It is obvious that these pinheads never thought of this when they instituted the one child policy.
Next thing that needs to happen is the end of forced abortion and trading girls for yaks.
Yesterday, Barack Obama promised to pull all the troops out of Iraq and if al Qaeda establishes a base of operations in Iraq after we leave, he’ll bring them back. To which McCain said that al Qaeda is in Iraq hence the name al Qaeda in Iraq. Obama countered with al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq when we invaded in 2003. More backward thinking by the supposed forward thinking candidate on the left.
Fact Mr. Obama, they are there now so using your first statement you cannot remove our troops from Iraq. You promises up to yesterday are moot aren’t they?
Chairman Dean, Mr. the Republicans look like 1950’s and talk like 1850’s, are you paying attention to this backwards rhetoric out of your candidate?
Al Qaeda IS there, the fight IS there, and he cannot and will not remove anyone from Iraq and he knows it. He is an empty envelope addressed and ready for delivery. Your job is to recognize his emptiness.
DNC Chairman, Chairman Dean, speaking at ICC Auditorium on Black History… Black History? Is it me or is there something wrong with a white man discussing Black History? Especially him. Headline, ‘Guilty White Guy Speaks on White Atrocities’. But I digress.

“The Republican Party has been in power for the sake of being in power.” SOURCE
Last time I checked, the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress. That’s power.
Sure Republicans pursue power but to deny power to those who would destroy this country. The power should actually reside in the states not the federal government. Dems see the federal government as power and that is what is dangerous.

The Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and former Governor of Vermont contrasted the two parties’ presidential candidates, saying that with a woman and an African-American as the two front-runners, the Democratic field “looks like America,” while the all-white male Republican field “looks like the 1950s and talks like the 1850s.” SOURCE
First off just look at the rhetoric. Barack Obama makes a case for a return to the failed socialist policies of The Great Society. That was what? 1960’s. John McCain looks at winning the war in Iraq from the position of taking over and starting from now and into the future. Barack Obama says that al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq until we invaded. Who is looking backwards and who is looking forwards?
Dean’s assumptions are about the “look” and are based on the fact that the Republican Party fielded all white men and the DNC fielded a black man, a white woman, a flaming socialist (Edwards), and a nut (Kucinich). The assertion is another attempt at perpetuating racism and sexism. No solutions to problems, just pointing out problems that don’t exist. The GOP fielded people who wanted the nomination so did the DNC.
Chairman Dean has it backwards, but what else is new?
… on gasoline. Higher motor fuel prices raises prices across the board. With the predictions of $4 per gallon gasoline being discussed, isn’t it about time that the government give the American people a break that we’ll see not only at the pump, but at the supermarket checkout?
The federal excise tax on gasoline is 18.4 cents per gallon. On top of that the various states tacks on double, sometimes triple, or even 5 times that amount on gasoline and diesel fuel. Fuel taxes are regressive. Congress needs to suspend the tax on fuel until mid-summer in order to stimulate the economy in a positive way. The government should also encourage the states to suspend or temporarily reduce the amount of rider they have on fuel as well.
Right now it is fuel costs that are slowing the economy. Reduce or suspend these taxes and it will go a long way to stimulate the economy beyond that $300 check that they are sending out. Everything from gasoline to crackers will become cheaper and the dollar will be bolstered. That’s what we need.
Obviously, if we decrease taxes, there needs to be a cut in spending somewhere. I recommend a suspension in Congressional salaries to offset the tax cut. My reason? They aren’t doing a damned thing anyway so why should they be paid.
Short answer? NOTHING!

North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on.
No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.
A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C — a value large enough to wipe out nearly all the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year’s time. For all four sources, it’s the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.
If all this is true, then why do we have to give up our incandescent light bulbs?
Seriously though, we’ve been hearing nothing but crying out of High Priest Al Gore and his minions of the Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots fueled by the ignorance of the typical Politically Apathetic American Lemming sitting in his easy chair listening to Katie Couric on the CBS evening news tell her viewers that man is solely responsible for the warming of the earth as they throw snow balls in Baghdad for the first time in recorded history. I mean can we finally put this nonsense of anthropological global warming, oops, “climate change” to freaking bed? Oh no, they’re making it mandatory subject matter in schools now. A bit behind the curve aren’t they?
Speaking of which, I love how since its now getting cooler that it has magically switched from global warming to climate change. I guess that ice age that they warned us about in 1974 is finally coming about.

Calling him radical is like saying the Johnstown flood was a slight drizzle.
Farrakhan is one of these Black Power hold-overs from the 1960’s. He’s of the mentality of the Black Panther Party. In other words, the black equivalent to the KKK. Are we supposed to give him a free pass on this? If a white politician were to gain the endorsement of the KKK and he didn’t reject it, than he would be committing political suicide but yet we are supposed to give Obama a free pass because he is black. He has the endorsement of THE most radical Muslim leader in the country and we are expected to accept that. I won’t.
His father was from Kenya and a Muslim. His step-father was from Indonesia and a Muslim. What the hell is wrong with his mother, is she mentally deficient or something? She must like the abuse that Islam promises women because she is addicted to Muslim men. Barack himself attended a Madrasah (religious school) but now we are expected to believe that he has converted to Christianity when it is a violation of Sharia Law to reject Islam. This is punishable by death by stoning.
Even if Obama is now a Christian, look at his chosen church. It too is radical. Like Farrakhan his pastor is committed to promoting blacks over whites. Again, if a white pastor suggested such a thing there would be charges of hate crimes filed. Look at their mission statement…

Obama has a friendship with William Ayers, the 1960’s radical who was involved in several bombings that were supposed to kill soldiers. And he’s proud to this day about it. He’s friends with a mad bomber! Yet he gets a free pass.

Are you serious when considering this man to be the next leader of the free world? He surrounds himself with radicals. Even his wife is a radical. Read her thesis and you will see that she represents everything wrong with the civil rights movement. The type who claims to fight racism but in her efforts perpetuates and even promotes racism. Her mere existence demands that racism exists or she has no relevance. Like her husband, who is tremendously underqualified for the office that he seeks, if he weren’t of African descent he would be irrelevant. He’s been groomed for this and pushed into running before he matured. And if elected will lead this nation down into the abyss of racial divide and socialism. Listen to Michelle explain.
Now Michelle is not a dumb woman but she don’t know when to hold her tongue. She let the kitty out of the burlap now Barack is going to pay for it.
Obama accepts endorsements from radicals. He’s friends with radicals. He comes from radical stock. He attended a radical school. He attends a radical church. He’s married to a radical. What does that make him? But the Main Stream Media has pre-destined him to be our next President. We might as well not vote anymore, we’ll just let ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NYT, WaPO, et al pick our Presidents for us I guess.
