Hillary Acknowledges Fox More Fair, Chelsea Claims Hillary “Fiscally Conservative”
In all of the squabble over the MSNoBodyCares David Shuster “pimped out” comment, Democrat Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton acknowledged to Politico Reporter John Harris on Washington’s ABC News affiliate WJLA that Fox News’ coverage of her campaign has been the most fair. Shocker! A liberal Democrat acknowledging that Fox News Channel is the most fair. This is something that the left-wing blogosphere would never acknowledge. [Transcript of the Interview]
Is Hillary taking aim at Conservative America since it seems that Barack Obama is likely to beat her out for the Democratic Nomination? Could it be that she senses blood in the water over Juan MexiCain and wants to present herself to Conservatives as being more fiscally responsible? I think so since her own daughter has been on the campaign trail saying just that.
Clinton (Chelsea), the daughter of presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, said that a return to “fiscal responsibility,” as promoted by her mother, would be one of the ways to secure Social Security. She also noted that her mom, as she referred to Hillary Clinton throughout the question and answer session, was the “most fiscally conservative candidate running” and “the only candidate who tells you how she’ll pay for everything.”
Too bad that she plans on paying for everything by taxing working America into the poor house.
Democrats have been tauting the expiration of the Bush Tax Cuts as a way to pay for the massively expensive social programs they have plans. Hillary herself is proposing over $800 Billion in new social spending and no spending cuts. Just more taxes.
What Democrats like her don’t realize is that the people that she wishes to tax into poverty are the same people who employ everyone else. What good does raising taxes do? NONE!
Hillary and every other liberal in this country wish to lower standards of living for the bulk of America and end poverty by making everyone impoverished. There is only one way to truly end real poverty in this country, that is by making everyone economically mobile. To do that, taxes need cut and the government needs to shrink. Spending needs to be curtailed to those necessary programs outlined in the Constitution. (Help! I’m sounding like a PaulBot!)
John Edwards claimed to be on a mission to end poverty. His pie in the sky quest hasn’t a prayer of success because try as we might, there will always be people who do not have as much as everyone else. They could have a 6 figure income and still live in poverty if the median income in the country were to hit 7 figures.
In other words, Hillary’s claims of being “fiscally Conservative” are a bunch of smoke and mirrors parlor tricks and rhetoric designed to appeal to those who wish to cut the deficit. Deficit reduction is only one aspect of Fiscal Conservatism. Ending wasteful spending on programs not authorized by the Constitution is another.
Fat lot of good paying for your pet projects using higher tax rates will be Mrs. Clinton if there is no one working in this country to pay your heavy tax burden. If you want to claim Fiscal Conservatism, it is time to come off your baby bonds and other wasteful spending proposals.
If Conservatives support any Dem for President in 2008 it is to insure that the Presidential failure that will follow won’t fall upon a Republican. Clintonian smoke and mirrors won’t work. Just ask the Huckster. He hasn’t a chance to win the nomination outright. He’s got to hope for a brokered convention and even then he won’t get it.
Try again Hillary.
