Is Obama Too Green?
Obama has the young vote locked in and it is looking like record numbers of first time voters will be showing up to the polls this year. But is that a blessing or a curse?
Obama’s inexperience is likely to bite him on the seat cushion come January 20, 2009 should he win the General Election. His attachment to Great Society programs will definitely doom any Infestation that he’s been praying for. There once was another young man who aspired to the Presidency. Young, full of hope, and running on change, Jimmy Carter took office on January 20, 1977 and promptly exited on January 20, 1981 with double digit unemployment, double digit inflation, and interest rates in excess of 20%. Look it up, that is beyond recession.
Like Barack, Jimmy was attached to big government Great Society programs. Like Edwards, he mistakenly thought it was possible to eradicate poverty not thinking that as long as anyone makes more money or has more assets than someone else, poverty will exist. To eliminate poverty would be to insure that everyone makes the same amount of money and everybody has the exact same amount of assets. That is a Communist idea. And instead of creating wealth it would actually put everyone into poverty. Problem is, his lunacy isn’t limited to Edwards. Obama was bitten by that bug too.
To answer my opening question… YES!
