Reuters: 59% of Doctors Support Lowering Health Care Standards

Gribbit Icon According to Reuters, more than half of this nation’s doctors are in favor of nationalized health care. If the Doctors are willing to captitulate, it is only a matter of time before our health care system goes the way of Canada and Great Britain. Long waiting lists for procedures, managed care to the point that procedures are denied because of the viability of the patient etc… are all in our future.

From Reuters:

More than half of U.S. doctors now favor switching to a national health care plan and fewer than a third oppose the idea, according to a survey published on Monday.

Of more than 2,000 doctors surveyed, 59 percent said they support legislation to establish a national health insurance program, while 32 percent said they opposed it, researchers reported in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine.

The 2002 survey found that 49 percent of physicians supported national health insurance and 40 percent opposed it.

Way back in 1993 when Hillary was holding back room meetings on health care and the DemCong of that time decided that another viable plan wasn’t worthy of consideration in favor of the plan Hillary hatched in her smoky back room meetings. Sen. Robert Dole (R KS) developed a plan that would encourage greater competition in the insurance industry. By eliminating the state boundaries that the industry is currently restricted with, risk could be spread out nation wide and encourage competition in the industry. Companies would have to compete with more competitors and rates would plummet. Who wins? The consumer.

We don’t need a single payer system where the government is the payer. Doctors believe if we moved to a nationalized system, they’d get paid faster because more people would actually be covered. WRONG!

The government is notoriously slow in paying monies owed. Doubt me? Answer one question. How long did it take for you to get a refund on your over-paid taxes?

Ask yourself another question. Do you want the same government which manages the United States Postal Service managing your health care? I mean, the USPS is the most efficiently run organization in the world right? [Sarcasm Alert]

Medicaid and Medicare haven’t been such a success to this point so by all means, why don’t we add to the ranks of those who receive their primary health coverage from the federal government.

If doctors think that they will be able to live the lifestyles that they currently live under a nationalized health care system, they are sadly mistaken. The government won’t “negotiate” fees for services, they will dictate them. Doctors will likely have to punch a time clock and be paid some substandard wage. No incentive to be a good physician will lead to mediocrity. Then one day we wake up and we’ll have Canada’s failed system here. There is a reason why many Canadians come to the United States and pay cash for health services, and it’s not because their system is efficient and quality. It is because people have to wait 6 months to a year to have a procedure done.

So by all means, let’s nationalize our health care system and put it in the dumper with the post office. [More Sarcasm? You Betcha!]

Obama Goes Bowling for Voters – Doesn’t Do Well

Gribbit Icon Sen. Barack Hussein Obama (D IL) has had his tank riding moment. He went bowling with Sen. Bob Casey (D PA) and housewife Roxanne Hart Saturday night.

Now before I pick on Barack Hussein’s pitiful performance on the ally, I must remind anyone who may have forgotten that bowling is a huge thing in the Keystone State. So Barack Hussein’s motivation behind his effort is purely political. He was pandering to voters and tried to make himself look like the regular Joe Sixpack which he isn’t. This is evident by his performance.

Obama scored a whopping 37. No, I didn’t miss a digit. It wasn’t a 237 or even a 137. His score was a 37. A 3rd grade class outing to the local Bowling ally would yield higher scores than that.

So what does he say after his staggering game?

From The Seattle Times:

“My economic plan is better than my bowling,” Obama told fellow bowlers Saturday evening at the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center.

“It has to be,” a man called out.

Actually, it may be worse.

A 37?!? Assuming that he played all 10 frames, with a possibility of 2 balls per frame, judging by the score I’ll also assume that he had no spares and heaven forbid a strike. That gives him an average of 1.85 pins per ball. Folks, that’s a lot of time in the gutter. And that is really the true metaphor for Saturday night’s excursion to the lanes. He wants to put America in the gutter. Elect him and he will.

UPDATE:

It seems that he did “almost” have a strike and did pick up a spare.

Obama did improve, nearly getting a strike in one frame, and in the seventh, picking up a spare, giving him a score of 37. Casey had a score of 71 after getting a strike, and Hart, with one less frame, racked up a score of 82.

“I was terrible,” Obama laughed as he shook hands with a crowd that had gathered outside the building once word spread he was there.

Gribbit Icon New Hampshire shifts from the “Leans Democrat” category to “Toss-Up” according to the latest from the Rasmussen Reports “Election 2008: Electoral College Update“.

From Rasmussen Reports:

Democrats continue to lead in states with 190 Electoral College Votes while Republicans are favored in states with 189 Votes. State with 104 Votes are “leaners,” and states with 55 Votes are Toss-Ups (see recent daily results). A month ago, the Democrats led 238-189. Since then, John McCain wrapped up the GOP nomination, the Democratic slugfest between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has continued, and several states have shifted away from the Democrats in the Electoral College projections.

When “leaners” are added to the total, the Democrats now lead with 243 Electoral Votes to 240 for the GOP. A month ago, the Democrats led 284-229. A total of 270 Electoral Votes are needed to win the White House. Leaners are states that narrowly lean to one party or the other at this time but remain competitive. See a summary of recent polls and Rasmussen Market expectations for key states in the Electoral College showdown.

Today’s shift of New Hampshire to the Toss-Up column comes on top of yesterday’s shift moving Wisconsin from Likely Democratic to Leans Democratic. That change was based upon new polling showing John McCain and Barack Obama essentially tied while McCain enjoys a solid lead over Hillary Clinton. Also, this past week, a Missouri poll shifted that state from Toss-Up status to Leans Republican. New polling from Virginia and Oregon had no impact on the projections.

The trend will likely continue as more Democrats become disenchanted with the in-fighting on the left. Some won’t vote at all others will defect in the General. This could be a very happy year for the GOP

Dem In-Fighting WILL Lead To McCain Victory in November

Gribbit Icon John McCain is taking the high road of politics for the time being as the two remaining Democrat contenders beat each other to figurative bloody pulps. This may be the key to victory as McCain can claim that he did not go negative as the two were weakened. McCain can deliver a true positive message and force the survivor of the Democrat civil war to go negative to contend in the general.

With recent polls suggesting that as many as 28% of Clinton supporters will vote for McCain rather than Obama; and 19% of Obama supporters voting for McCain over Clinton, almost assuredly would force the surviving Dem to attack McCain’s lack of true Conservative credentials in a hope to splinter off enough economic and social Conservatives so that their Party’s defections can be minimized.

What Republicans, especially Conservative Republicans, need to focus on is an alternative scenario – a President Obama or a President Clinton – and the disaster that would entail.

We may have some social or economic differences with John McCain but in comparison to our differences with Obama and Clinton the decision is a no-brainer. McCain has stated that he learned his lesson on McCain-Kennedy and will not bring it back. That said however, if elected, Obama and/or Clinton would almost certainly try to revive the dead legislation or something like it.

Another thing that Conservative Republicans need to do is back every Republican running for the House or Senate. Recapturing a majority should be a priority. The 110th Congress is handing us our mantra. It is THE Do-Nothing Congress. The Dems have proven that they are incapable of governing and we need to take advantage of that fact.

There is an opportunity hand delivered to us by those brain-dead moronic Democrats running for President and currently running our Congress. It is up to us to take advantage.

Dean to Super-Delegates: Get ‘er Done

Chairman Dean wants the Democrat struggle for the nomination to be concluded by July 1st. Why? Because he realizes that it is tearing the party apart.

Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean, hoping to avoid a divisive fight on the convention floor, weighed in on the Clinton-Obama battle Friday by calling on all party superdelegates to declare whom they support by July 1.

The 800 or so Democratic superdelegates will almost certainly decide the presidential candidate, because it’s unlikely either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will gain enough pledged delegates in the remaining primary contests to win the 2,025 delegates needed to clinch the nomination outright.

Knowing that the Super-Delegates, those elected officials and party elites within the Democrat Party, will be the deciding factor that could either confirm the will of the people or trump the will of the people as they see fit, Chairman Dean took an opportunity on the ‘Early Show’ to inform the Supers that he wants this done by July 1st.

“Well, I think the superdelegates have already been weighing in. I think there’s 800 of them and 450 of them have already said who they’re for,” Dean said. “I’d like the other 350 to say who they’re on between now and the first of July so we don’t have to take this into the convention.”

Dean is trying to avoid a brokered convention where a “compromise candidate” may need to be selected. A “compromise candidate” has been floated. None other than the High Priest of the Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots (MDI) Al Gore. Chairman Dean would like to avoid such a “compromise candidate” because this candidate would have about 9 weeks to campaign against McCain. This is also why he said…

“You do not want to demoralize the base of the Democratic Party by having the Democrats attack each other. … Let the media and the Republicans and the talking heads on cable television attack and carry on, fulminate at the mouth. The supporters should keep their mouths shut about this stuff on both sides because that is harmful to the potential victory of a Democrat.”

He wants the focus to shift to McCain but while both candidates are still fighting for the nomination, he realizes that the infighting is doing nothing but fuel the McCain camp.

Recent polls suggesting that as many as 28% of Clinton supporters and 19% of Obama supporters will vote for McCain rather than the other Democrat candidate in the General election has got to have Chairman Dean’s blood pressure up to critical levels. This is why he wants a “sooner rather than later” solution to the infighting so they have more time to mend fences with those 28% Clinton supporters before going into the convention.

He should know the Clinton’s better than that. As long as there is a long shot. As long as there is room to wiggle. The Clinton’s are in this race to regain the White House for Billy Bob Bubba. If you think for one moment that Hillary will be a traditional President you are out of your half-baked liberal mind. She once mentioned the co-Presidency idea and that is more truth than she’s ever uttered before.

The thing that we can hope for, and with Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos we may see, a close enough fight that it does go all the way to the convention and it gets brokered. Neither candidate can or will have 51% of the votes as it stands and that frightens Chairman Dean.

Trust Team Clinton? Dick Morris Says NO!

In the New York Post Wednesday of this week, Morris wrote an article addressing a pardon for Puerto Rican Terrorists in 1999 “based on the stuff I was given by the staff.”. He says:

Ron Kolb, the citizen whose questioning prompted the ex-president’s comment, rightly pointed out that the FBI and Justice Department had opposed the pardons. The clear conclusion is that it was Clinton’s political staff who pushed for clemency – with the obvious goal of helping Hillary Clinton’s bid to become a New York senator.

Bill still denies that was his motive, of course – but no one believes it. The lobbying by Hispanic politicians from New York on the issue had been years-long; the culmination was noted by the New Republic noted back in ‘99: “Two days before the president announced the clemency deal, New York City Councilman Jose Rivera personally presented Hillary with a packet on clemency, including a letter asking her to ’speak to the president and ask him to consider granting executive clemency’ to the prisoners.”

When will America realize that the Clintons’ lives are centered around control of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Billy Bob Bubba’s entire life has been centered on the Presidency, obtaining it and holding it. Now, he can’t serve another term as per the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution. The only way that he can re-gain control is through Hillary. He knew that when he was Governor of Arkansas when he contemplated stepping down and running her in his place in 1990 while he prepared to run for President. This way he could control Arkansas through his surrogate and wife of convenience Hillary while not having to claim that he would serve out his term as Governor and not run for President. But he chose to run himself for Governor and promised to not run for President in 1992. Lie number 1.

I have no doubt that in 1999 Billy Bob Bubba was already thinking of how to win Hillary the Presidency so that he could control things like he had planned way back in 1990 in Arkansas as Morris says.

The group that Billy Bob Bubba issued pardons for is a Puerto Rican separatist group bent on independence from the United States. Problem is they didn’t, and don’t, have support on the island for such an idea.

The FALN, a terrorist group devoted to independence for Puerto Rico, bombed the Fraunces Tavern here in New York City in 1975, killing four and injuring 54 others.

It also:

* Bombed five other downtown New York buildings in 1974.

* Booby trapped a building in Manhattan and then called the police, seriously injuring and partially blinding an officer.

* Exploded two bombs in Chicago’s Loop in 1975.

* Bombed the Merchandise Mart in Chicago in 1977.

* Bombed a Mobil Oil office in New York, killing one person, in 1977.

* Bombed two Chicago military recruiting offices in 1979.

* Injured three police officers in New York bombings in 1982.

This group is no different than al Qaeda, the PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Weather Underground (to give a domestic example) and other terrorist organizations. They use terror to make political statements. For this, they should never have been let out of prison.

Just 2 years before al Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 airplanes and flew 3 of them into buildings within our country, Billy Bob Bubba was pardoning other terrorists. Why wouldn’t they think that we were soft on terrorism. After-all, William Ayres is running around free. The Weather Underground’s bomb maker is a mover and shaker in the Chicago Democrat Machine that produced Barack Hussein Obama.

That’s right Democrats, your choices are the wife of a man who pardoned terrorists and a man who is friends with a terrorist. And you wonder why we think you’ll pander to, yes, terrorists.

Democrat = More Terrorism

It has been speculated that the reason why September 11th even happened is because the cave dwelling al Qaeda leadership gave the go ahead in December of 2000 when it looked to them that Al Gore would become President. Speculation is that if they thought Bush was going to win, they would not have attacked. Why? Because Clinton didn’t do anything to them after they attacked us, why would Gore?

10 Yr Old Jayci Yaeger Has Died

The 10 year old girl with brain cancer whose last wish in life was to see her father one last time has succumb to the cancer. Little Jayci Yaeger died but not until seeing her father.

If you remember from the news because I did not cover this, the prison where her father was serving time refused to allow him a furlough to visit his dying daughter. This prompted national outrage and support for Jason Yaeger to receive a furlough actually worked and he was granted a supervised visit with his daughter on Wednesday.

Jayci Yaeger lived long enough to be reunited with her father, Jason Yaeger, earlier this week at a hospice in Lincoln, Neb.

Her story prompted a nationwide outpouring of sympathy and pleas to jail officials to let Jason Yaeger be released from a federal prison to see his little girl before her death.

On Wednesday, the family’s wishes came true when prison guards escorted Jason Yaeger to the hospice where Jayci lay dying.

Jayci, who could not speak, move or eat, could sense that her father was next to her and feel his touch, because she began breathing more heavily during his visit, the family told FOX News.

May the Lord receive this young soul into his care and ease the family’s bereavement.

For the record. I am all for supervised visits of prisoners in this position. The eminent death of a child or the parents of a prisoner should be recognized as a special situation. As long as the offender is either escorted or has proven that he (or she) would return after an unsupervised furlough, I have no problem with their temporary release.

In this case, Jason Yaeger only has a few months left on his sentence and is due to be released to a half-way house. Why his furlough wasn’t originally granted is beyond me.

On the issue of crime and punishment I am the first to say people who commit crimes deserve what they get. But with that, provisions can be made for those who are not in Supermax to visit a dying child or parent.

Boehner Meets Qadhafi, Urges Libyan Leader to Take Steps to Further Strengthen Bilateral Relationship

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) met yesterday with the leader of Libya, Col. Muammar Qadhafi, as part of a multi-state congressional delegation trip, which also includes meetings with leaders in Israel, Tunisia, and Morocco. Boehner issued the following statement on his meeting with Col. Qadhafi, which included discussions about Libya’s ongoing efforts to reintegrate back into the world community and the future of U.S.-Libya relations:

“Our visit with Col. Qadhafi has come at a critical time for both the United States and Libya, and we stressed the importance of being forward-looking as our nations seek to further strengthen our bilateral relationship. It has been nearly two years since the Bush Administration announced its intention to restore diplomatic relations with Libya, and since then, the Libyan government has taken key steps toward reintegrating as a partner in the world community and in the War on Terror. Col. Qadhafi and I also discussed how vital it is for his government to continue taking these steps – including settling claims to fully accept responsibility for past actions and offenses – in order for this progress to continue. Our nation has an important stake – with regard to both our security and our economy – in forging a stronger alliance with Libya, and as the Libyan government fully settles its past claims, I am confident our mutual relationship will grow even stronger.”

NOTE: Joining Boehner on the delegation visit are Rep. John Carter (R-TX), Republican Conference Secretary, Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), Ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL), and Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL).

Do we really want to trust the leadership of our nation to someone who was raised in an Islamic country (Indonesia) and attended public schools there (Islamic)? Do we really want to trust our nation to a man who was raised by a Muslim step-father and has the middle name Hussein? He’s made repeated claims to being a Christian and we’ve gotten a recent sample of the kind of hate filled vitriol that was being taught in the church he attends by the man that he credits for leading him to Christ. Do we really want this brand of “Christian” at the helm of our nation? Because if that is Christianity, the teachings that I’ve been taught are all wrong. But somehow I doubt that.

Obama says he wants to bring our troops home win, lose, or draw starting day one of his Presidency. Should this happen we will not be fighting them on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. The fight will be in New York, Washington, Ohio, Nebraska, and California. If we don’t fight them on the ground that we choose, we will fight them on ground that they choose – the United States. Just say NO as Nancy Reagan says. No to Obama.

McCain-Romney? GOP Dream Ticket Campains Together

McCain, from the Southwest, is a moderate with some economic Conservative and National Security credentials. Romney, from the Northeast, would bring administrative experience and social Conservative credentials to the ticket. McCain is a ripe 71 where Romney is a very young 61 years old. McCain is hurting for cash and Romney can raise money. McCain can beat either Democrat candidate, but so could Romney.

On the campaign trail today, McCain and Romney sat together on the airplane, ate lunch together, and spoke jovially to reporters dismissing any indications of any remaining animosity. There is precedent for former primary rivals to become successful running mates. Kennedy-Johnson, Reagan-Bush, and Clinton-Gore just to name a few. If you check, the lead on each of these tickets picked their running mate not because of personal relationships, but to increase their chances of winning through balancing the ticket. McCain-Romney would be a balanced ticket.

Some have floated names such as Duncan Hunter… Nope… Why? No balance. Both McCain and Hunter are from the Southwest. Some have mentioned Lindsey Graham. Again, no balance. Both are moderates. McCain needs to choose a social Conservative from the Northeast to balance the ticket. That means Romney.

But this is just my 1/50th of a dollar.
