U.N. Sec. Gen. Moon Condemns Israeli Attacks, But What About the Palestinian Attacks?

March 2, 2008 News, Opinion, World Events View Comments

Useless Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (ROK) is condemning Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip as excessive use of force. Surprisingly he says nothing about the Palestinian rocket attacks that were killing and maiming civilians indiscriminately. Someone inside of Gaza, I suspect Hamas, is launching those rockets aimed at civilian areas of Israel. This begs the question, “Is Moon ok with the sunsetting on Israel?”

I’ve spent time in Moon’s homeland and the people there didn’t strike me as the type that would roll over and let something like this happen to them. South Korea was, at the time I was there, always ready to defend itself. Israel has been putting up with weeks of rocket attacks. This seems to be a pattern. Each year about this time they dust this up and each year Israel has to send in the tanks in order for them to stop.

Someone is launching those rockets, Hamas. Someone is supplying those rockets – Iran through Hezbollah. Israel is the lone island in a sea of radical Islam. They’ve been able to defend itself to this point, why shouldn’t they defend themselves now? Perhaps the USS Cole and her battle group should move a little South. Just in case you know.
