The RINO tag may lead to a defeat in November for the Republican nominee. There are plenty of my compatriots out there who cannot bring themselves to vote for John McCain because of McCain-Kennedy or McCain-Feingold or even the proposed McCain-Lieberman bills. I understand their position and I must say that I agree with their distaste for the Senator’s co-sponsorship of these bills. But what we need to think about is the long term impact of allowing a liberal to win in November.
As Sean Hannity is apt to say, would you rather have a President that you agree with zero percent of the time (Clinton or Obama) or one that you may agree with only 65% of the time? I would say the latter rather than the former.
The divisions within the Democrat Party won’t last campers. The fast-food, instant gratification mentality of the common Politically Apathetic American Lemming will allow the differences within their party to melt away by the beginning of October. Ask yourself, do you really want to see a President Barack Hussein Obama who would kiss up to the enemies of this nation such as Mahmoud Iwannajihad and Hugo Chavez? To you want to see a President Barack Hussein Obama appointing more Ruth Bader Ginsburgs to the Supreme Court? Do you really want to see a President Barack Hussein Obama as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States? I for one don’t and the only answer we have is to vote for John McCain in spite of his RINO label.
Remember, I was once where you are. I said that I couldn’t vote for McCain and that we should probably allow the Dems have 08 and begin a search for a more Conservative candidate for 2012. But the long term damage that the current Congress is producing would be magnified by a liberal President and that I cannot live with. We are reaping what we sowed in 2006 when economic Conservatives stayed home on election day. We have the Do-Nothing Congress. Thank GOD we have the Do-Nothing Congress because if they were able to get things done we’d be in the hurt locker. With a liberal President, they would be able to get their programs done and that my friends is very scary.

Fine — but that’s not the choice I’m faced with. Instead of agreeing with one candidate 0% and the other 65%, I think many people (people who like freedom) find that they can pick from one whom they agree with 1%, one 3%, and one 6%. Given that option, there is no effective difference, and no reason to vote for any of them.
The problem with that thinking Ogre is that it will guarantee a liberal victory. You, who could make the difference between Obama winning or not might be the one vote needed for Obama to lose your state.
If enough voters think as you do, and there are, Obama will win and the economy and security of this nation will be in the toilet. It will be 1978 all over again. It took us over a decade to recover from the failed policies of the last liberal President that had a significant majority in both Houses. Can you live with a repeat? I cannot.
Any vote that would normally go to the Republican Nominee that stays home on November 4th is an effective vote for Barack Obama. Take that to the bank.
Remember, when you fail to vote you are abdicating your say in the governing of our nation. The time for lessons was during the primaries. We had better choices but a deranged former preacher from Arkansas who had no chance of winning chased the better candidates out of the race. We did this to ourselves by not chasing him out.
That dog don’t hunt. I’m in agreement with Ogre on this.
Read “Fear Doesn’t Control My Vote”.
I am finished with compromising with evil. Nobody wins when you ‘vote’ for the lesser of three evils.
Who says McCain isn’t a liberal, Gribbit? You’re fooling yourself into thinking that McCain is a conservative.
McCain is no conservative!
He has done more to destroy the Republican Party than anyone that I can think of.
So what you are saying Cao is that you are willing to allow THE most liberal Senator to become the next President of the United States because you don’t feel McCain is Conservative enough. That is the dog that doesn’t hunt Cao.
