I came across a presentation available on Power Point (you High Priest Al Gore* minions should be familiar with Power Point) put together by Dr. Timothy Ball, Ph.D. Environmental Consultant and former Climatology Professor, University of Winnipeg. In that presentation, there are several charts and notes indicating that there is no such thing as a consensus indicating man is significantly responsible for the warming of the earth.
This is the most telling statistic that I’ve come across regarding man’s contribution to global warming (aka: anthropological global warming).

As you can see from the graphic, mankind is responsible for less than .3% of all the greenhouse gasses entering our atmosphere but yet the members of the MDI* would have you believe that if man didn’t exist the earth would be an ecological paradise. This I feel is arrogance at its worst.
However, if you look at the following chart displaying the historical record of sunspot activity, you will see that during extended periods of lower sunspot activity, the earth enters substantial cooling periods such as “The Little Ice Age”.

In the event that you have no idea what the Maunder Minimum was, that my friends was what we refer to as “The Little Ice Age” which took place between 1645 and 1715.
A fact that should be stressing the people of the world more than the hysteria created by High Priest Al Gore* and his minions of the MDI* is the impending lull in sunspot activity. Sunspot activity has been declining for roughly 20 years now indicating that we are on the backside of a warming trend and will likely be facing a period of cooling. Are we as a society prepared to face another minimum period?
We’ve seen from the first chart that Man contributes almost nothing to the greenhouse gasses entering the atmosphere. Perhaps we should be focusing less on greenhouse gasses and more on sunspot activity.

UPDATE:
Scientists at Nanking Normal University have determined that greenhouse gases account for only 40 percent of 20th century warming, and that other factors (primarily solar variance) accounts for the remaining 60 percent. The scientists further conclude that temperatures will cool during the next 20 years. - Source World Climate Report March 16, 2007
