Libtard PBS Host And His Racist Comments
John McLaughlin, long-time host of the PBS political panel show – The McLaughlin Group, has become the latest broadcaster to suffer from foot in mouth syndrome.
According to CNN.com of all sources:
Referencing Jackson’s comments, McLaughlin said Obama “fits the stereotype blacks once labeled as an Oreo — a black on the outside, a white on the inside.”
“Does it frost Jackson, Jesse Jackson, that…an Oreo should be the beneficiary of the long civil rights struggle which Jesse Jackson spent his lifetime fighting for?” McLaughlin asked his panelists.
The term “Oreo” is often viewed as a derogatory term toward some African-Americans who appear not to exhibit certain stereotypes of their race.
This illustrates yet another reason why taxpayer monies should not be used to fund PBS if shows such as Mr. McLaughlin’s show is going to be aired. It is not for the taxpayers of this nation to be funding political commentary such as that which airs on McLaughlin’s program.
As to what was said.
I cannot for the life of me understand where Mr. McLaughlin is in his career to think that he can say such tripe and expect for it to survive. The use of the term “oreo” in referece to Barack Obama is not only unacceptable but shows a level of racism present in Mr. McLaughlin that should be rejected by any right thinking person regardless of political persuasion. It is vial terminology and should be rejected.
We all know that the views expressed on Mr. McLaughlin’s program are skewed even further to the left than those expressed on the other alphabet networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC). As-a-matter- of-fact, there are times when Mr. McLaughlin’s panel group makes the Village Voice look rather moderate. Why is it that there are those who wish to police Conservative Talk Radio by re-instituting The Fairness Doctrine but then condone the type of “journalism” permitted to be aired on these networks or worse, in print. If you people are really interested in fairness when it comes to political reporting, how about starting these broadcasts out with a full disclosure of political loyalties expressed on the programs? I won’t hold by breath as I wait for a response.
