More Unraveling of Al Gore’s “Consensus”

High Priest Al Gore* and his minions in the Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots (MDI)* must be having kittens with the revelation by “Physics & Society” editor Jeffery Marque that acknowledges that many in the scientific community don’t buy into the anthropological global warming “consensus”. “Physics & Society” is the newsletter of the American Physical Society.

Mr. Marque opines in his latest issue:

With this issue of Physics & Society, we kick off a debate concerning one of the main conclusions of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN body which, together with Al Gore, recently won the Nobel Prize for its work concerning climate change research. There is a considerable presence within the scientific community of people who do not agree with the IPCC conclusion that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are very probably likely to be primarily responsible for the global warming that has occurred since the Industrial Revolution. Since the correctness or fallacy of that conclusion has immense implications for public policy and for the future of the biosphere, we thought it appropriate to present a debate within the pages of P&S concerning that conclusion.

A few days ago I posted some data which put man’s contribution of greenhouse gasses to our atmosphere into context. Man contributes less than .3% of the total amount of greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere and less than 3% of the total amount of CO2. Can anyone honestly say that if man’s contribution of these gasses in our atmosphere were eliminated, the earth would stop heating and cooling? To believe so goes beyond arrogance.

The fact is that the earth will warm and cool regardless if we even exist but the minions in the MDI can’t have you realizing this fact. The earth was here long before man and will remain long after we are gone.

Liberals like Gore have to have a scapegoat of some sort to justify their fear mongering. High Priest Al Gore and the MDI need the fear of CO2 and some made up computer models showing man as the destroyers of the planet. Who does that remind you of?

In the first half of the 20th century amid widespread economic depression, there was a leader in Germany who needed a scapegoat for the bad economic situation in his country. He blamed Jews which led to millions being exterminated. Today’s MDI are raising hysteria to a level very much like that raised in Germany in the 1930s.

What is the latest out of High Priest Al Gore? We have to change over from using hydrocarbons to create electricity to “renewable energy”. The one “renewable” that is being named most often in the past few days is wind. Sorry to burst your little bubble Mr. Gore, but the wind doesn’t always blow. Well what about solar? The sun doesn’t always shine. Sure in places like Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico the sun shines more often than not. But in the midwest, upper midwest, and northeast, we have a weather conditions that are accompanied by cloud cover that block out the sun for days at a time. Wind and solar are not the answer.

Then there is ethanol. Sorry to remind you people of something but corn is carbon based and so is the alcohol made from that corn. If it burns, it’s carbon. So if you are dead set on reducing that less than 3% of CO2 we contribute corn is not your answer.

People, it is time that you wake up and smell the dung pile because that is what High Priest Gore and his minions are shoveling.

My congratulations to Mr. Marque for his bravery in bringing the fact that not all of the scientific community agrees with that windbag and the IPCC.
