Obama’s narcissistic obsession with being the center of all media attention continues at least until tomorrow when he will finally announce via text message to supporters who he will be picking as his Vice Presidential running mate. I’m of the opinion that Obama is all foreplay and no action and wonder what kind of President he would make if he should prevail in November. If it takes him this long to “pull the trigger” on a decision as to whom he will be selecting as his cohort on the Dem ticket then how long would it take him to make a decision when it comes to decisions of national security?

UPDATE:

ABC News is reporting that the United States Secret Service has been dispatched to provide “immediate” protection for Sen. Joe Biden.

The United States Secret Service has dispatched a protective detail to assume the immediate protection of Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., a source tells ABC News, indicating in all likelihood that Biden has been officially notified that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has selected him to be his running mate.

Sources also tell ABC News that two others said to be finalists for the position of Obama’s running mate — Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., and Virginia Gov Tim Kaine — have been told they have not been selected to be Obama’s running mate.

Kaine flew to Denver earlier today, is in Denver tonight and has no plans to leave in the next 24 hours. Bayh is at his Washington, DC, home with his family.

Biden was last seen minutes ago at his Wilmington estate where his extended brood is gathering.

The Obama campaign would not comment, but Obama mentioned Biden twice in speeches on the trail this week, both times heralding his legislative leadersip in East Asia.

The Koolaid drinking Clinton supporters that frequent CNN.com are all in a tizzy over Clinton being informed that she will not be selected as Obama’s running mate.

Hillary supports feel cheated, and rightfully so to be honest. It looks like it is going to be a Obama-Biden ticket, which is simply delicious to a conservitive like me.

I could stomach Hillary, but not Mr. Obama.

This could effect the house and senate too where democrats who would have voted Hillary simply will not show up.

Andrew has a point even though he can’t spell Conservative. What IF Hillary supporters stay home on November 4th? All 435 House seats are up for grabs.

theresa mckay – Read about Obama’s background sometime in his own book. I don’t think you’ll be impressed. What he shows by not picking Hillary as his running mate shows he is not mature enough to be president. I will not vote for him without Hillary on the ticket. I do not care if he picks another woman, No Hillary, No Obama.

WOW! Isn’t that what we’ve been saying for months? “Read about Obama’s background sometime in his own book. I don’t think you’ll be impressed.” Seems that I’ve seen that somewhere. OH.. Here – repeatedly.

The point is that there is an awful lot of crying going on in liberal land. Clinton supporters should have known that Hillary’s best shot at ever becoming President of the United States only exists if Obama loses this election. Being his VP will not put her in the big chair. She needs a McCain win on November 4th in order for her to run for the 2012 Dem Nomination. She knows what happened to Teddy “The Lush” Kennedy in 1980 and understands that she cannot run against a sitting Dem President in 2012. Beyond 2012 her political future will be over.

Well campers, the guessing game is over the AP has learned that Obama will tap Joe Biden in a text message to supporters in the AM.
