Obama Deception – William Ayers

A new ad about Barack Obama’s association with an unrepentant domestic terrorist is hitting the airwaves that that has the man with the middle name Hussein’s dander up.

So what did Obama do?

Barack Obama is striking back fiercely and swiftly to stamp out an ad that links him to a 1960s radical, eager to demonstrate a far more aggressive response to attacks than John Kerry did when faced with the 2004 “Swift Boat” campaign.

Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations the commercial by warning station managers and asking the Justice Department to intervene. The campaign also planned to compel advertisers to pressure stations that continue to air the anti-Obama commercial. SOURCE

The last time this came up an Obama staffer attempted to explain their association away by stating that their (meaning Obama and Ayers) children go to school together. Hold the phone. Obama’s children are little girls. Elementary school age girls. Ayers’ children are grown adults so that argument does not fly.

The catchy phrase in the blockquoted story from the AP is…

First off, how can he block anything that is being paid for by a private citizens’ group? Isn’t that a violation of the 1st Amendment? And secondly what does he think that the Justice Department can do exactly?

The answer to the second question is obvious. When the Justice Department doesn’t do anything because there is nothing to do, Obama can go on the war path saying that it was the evil Bush Administration’s fault that he got ‘Swiftboated’.

By the way, they say ‘Swiftboated’ like it is a bad thing. First off, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth were successful because they owned the truth. They caught John Kerry in a lie. So if Obama is going to be ‘Swiftboated’, does that mean that he’s been caught in a lie? That’s the way I see it.

Word to the wise for all you leftards out there who want to refer to having a Dems political career submarined by the truth – if you use the term ‘Swiftboated’ that says to us “you’re right – you caught us with our pants down”. So keep using it because the people know what it means and by its use, you are confirming the truth about yourselves and your surrogates.

“It seems they protest a bit too much,” American Issues Project spokesman Christian Pinkston said. “They’re going all of these routes—through threats, intimation—to try to thwart the First Amendment here because they don’t have an argument on merit.” SOURCE
