Can’t you just hear Barry O squealing?
Barry O and the Wicked Witch of the West (see also SanFran Nan) like to believe in their disconnected libtarded* history revisionist’s minds that the Repulicans are to blame for this “crisis” and evidently never read THIS New York Times article from 2003.
If you followed the link you would have found a story about a proposal for the creation of a new agency that would have had direct oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. And if you have been paying attention to the news of the past week you would now understand that Barry O and the Congressional Black Caucus were involved in killing the creation of that agency. Had the agency been created, perhaps Fannie and Freddy would not now need to be bailed out. Had that agency been created, perhaps the housing crisis that we are now dealing with would not have happened.
Freddie and Fannie, with the aid of those who killed the creation of this new agency that would have been charged with overseeing Freddie and Fannie, made available loans to home buyers that should never have qualified for those loans. But according to SanFran Nan, and Barry O out on the campaign trail, the Republicans caused these problems.
I only have one thing to impress upon you. If you allow Barry O to be elected more of the same will follow.
