The web and cable news are both abuzz over atheists protesting and suing over plans to include Rick Warren in the Inaugural and the traditional inclusion of the words “So Help Me GOD”. I have a suggestion for these multiple piles of human excrement. Why don’t they all hold their breath like the petulant children that they are until someone gives in to their demands. I think that will solve everyone’s problem.
Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich announced his pick to fill President-Elect Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat today. Blago’s pick? Former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris. Burris made the mistake of accepting this tainted appointment because he will never be seated in Washington.
Complicating matters is the fact that the Governor’s appointment is not self-activating. The Secretary of State has to certify the appointment. But Secretary of State Jesse White has already made statements that he would not certify any appointment made by Gov. Blagojevich.
Should White certify the appointment Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D NV) and Majority Whip – the Dick with the Turbin – Dick Durbin (D IL) have already stated that they will not allow Burris to be seated. Keep in mind, the Senate ultimately approves or disapproves the credentials of an incoming member.
Shortly after Blago’s defiant news conference announcing Burris, Illinois Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn had a news conference of his own stating that he expects the Governor to be impeached and convicted by the Illinois Senate. He condemned Blagojevich’s appointment and stated that he believes that White will not certify. He is calling for the Governor to step down and if he doesn’t for the Illinois House of Representatives to expedite Articles of Impeachment so that the Senate can go forward.
During this whole mess, President-Elect Barack Obama has only stated that Blagojevich should step down and not make any appointment. Beyond this and refuting any insinuation that he and his staff were party to Blagojevich’s scheme to gain financially from this appointment, Obama has been mum on the ordeal.
Let me state again, for the benefit for my trolling “friends” on the left, I in no way believe that Obama knew anything about Blagojevich’s scheme. My concern was the perception that Obama sparked by his blanket statement that he had no contact with the Governor since his election. His statement was vague and premature. The problem that I have is that Obama has been elected President of the United States. And for the next 4 years, he will have his words scrutinized not only by the American Press and the American people, but also the allies and enemies of this nation. I think that it is prudent for the President of the United States to be absolutely certain in what he is speaking about. He should be skilled in qualifying his remarks and avoid vague blanket statements that he cannot be certain are true.
Obama said that he had no contact with the Governor. Turns out, in a way, he did. When Rham Emanuel contacted Blagojevich and his staff, Obama did have contact because Emanuel is Obama’s incoming Chief of Staff. He speaks for the President-Elect.
My advice to Obama is to be careful with his words. I don’t like him or his politics. But he is going to be the President of my country. What he says will matter in my life and I want him to be sure about what he is saying.
With less than a month before Barry Obama takes the oath of office, it has occurred to me to point out the consequences of electing this incredibly unqualified twit chief executive. The people elected Obama in guilt inspired fit of mass hysteria brought on by the liberal guilt machine which is also responsible for the asinine big brother style PC thought police that guilts people into censoring their speech. So much for the 1st Amendment that libtards like for you to believe they are trying to protect.
Before the 2004 Democrat National Convention Barack Hussein Obama was an unheard of (on a national scale) state Senator who had to that point in his career achieved very little. He was legislatively impotent preferring to take no position on anything other than the termination of human life and the neglect of children born alive following botched abortions. He has prided himself as a “community organizer” for whatever that job entails but as a “community organizer” he was just as impotent. He failed to achieve any of the goals he set out to accomplish. As a United States Senator he again, failed to achieve any notable success. In a sense, the 2008 Presidential election resulted in the most successful failure in US history being elected President of the United States.
Consequence #1 – What could we possibly expect from such an underachiever other than more failure?
Since the 2008 campaign launched itself shortly after Christmas 2006, Barack Hussein Obama has been riding a wave of popularity sparked by the proliferation of urban culture. The expansion of which has increased the rate of demoralization in America. White liberal guilt has permitted urban culture to blur the lines between acceptable and unacceptable behavior in this nation. How did it happen? Because white liberal guilt was permitted to become mainstream and as I discussed above – the PC police took control and it was no longer acceptable to question the expansion of this harmful behavior.
The imbeciles in the ghetto, who have traditionally been an unreliable voter base, registered by the millions because of the encouragement and sometimes illegal bribing from organizations such as ACORN. These voter registration efforts took place in largely black neighborhoods in urban areas and were largely successful because Barry is black. I hate to be the bearer of bad news to these simpletons from apathy central – but Barry has more in common with Georgie Soros than you. You bought a bill of goods that his election would empower you. News flash – nothing in your life is going to change.
How do I know this? I spend a lot of time in a largely black neighborhood in Cincinnati and have seen (post election) with my own eyes a sign that said “Yes We Did”. What exactly is that person expecting from the President-Elect? The moon. But there is no way on God’s green earth that Barry can deliver.
Since he was elected, America now has to tolerate people like Montel Williams appearing on television commercials in order to pimp coins with Barry’s likeness on them. Personally, I find these coins – and Montel Williams for that matter – tacky and repugnant.
Which leads me to consequence #2 – What is going to happen when the poor, apathetic African-American base who voted for Barry solely out of a sense of responsibility for getting the first black elected to the highest office in the land realizes that his election isn’t going to matter to them and they fail to support his re-election bid? Or for that matter, the re-election of those in Congress that Barry is going to rely upon to further his agenda? If they feel ignored the likelihood of their ever voting again is nil.
So I say congratulations Barry – for your sake I hope you are Superman and can make good on all your campaign promises. But wait, how could you when you promised different groups contradicting promises? You can’t.
It is impossible to be everything to everybody. But that is exactly what he was proclaimed to be. ‘The Chosen One’ ‘The Messiah’.
The truth is that Obama’s Presidency is doomed to failure before it begins. He can’t be everything to everybody so he isn’t going to even try. He got you to do his bidding and has 4 years to put forth an agenda which has not surfaced yet. His campaign rhetoric was just that, rhetoric. Empty promises that he never intended on honoring.
Obama has a hidden agenda – what that is, is anybody’s guess at this point. It could be that he doesn’t actually have one because he never believed that he would win. It’s possible, but I doubt it.
His mother and grandparents were avid socialists. He surrounded himself with these same kinds of people during his years as a student and “community organizer”. Why on earth would we now believe that he is anything but what he’s been groomed to be – a socialist. So could Marxism be his secret agenda? Possibly.
What I do know for sure is that he hasn’t a clue as to what the Presidency entails. Just as we don’t know exactly what a “community organizer” does. Since he is now privy to intelligence reports and military briefings, he has backed off his withdrawal plans. I wonder why? Could it be that it is much easier being an armchair quarterback than it is to suit up and take the hits?
I also know that there is a power struggle in the making within the Democrat Party and I doubt that sharing power with the Speaker of the House was in the President-elect’s plan.
In 2006 the American people gave the power of the purse to the Democrats and they squandered it. They had the power and did nothing with it. This inspired the people to further trust the Democrats with even more power – but that power will be for nothing as well.
I predict a widening recession maybe even full-out world wide depression brought upon by Democrat advocated regulations and bureaucracy. Obama’s solution? Roads and bridges. Sorry to inform the President-elect but roads and bridges are built by a core of companies who employ specialized personnel. On top of that, there is an asphalt shortage in this country. Unless the President-elect finds a new way to surface roads and bridges, those projects will do nothing to stimulate the economy.
The economy is just one of many issues that Obama will face in his first year as President. However, he is grossly underqualified to address these issues. He has spent years avoiding taking positions on anything but death. Death of the unborn and unwanted. Why should we believe that he has any clue about how to solve the problems that every-day people face every day? He can’t.
As I quoted below the banner of this page, Ann Coulter said it best when she said, “In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president.” It is my duty and that of every Conservative blogger to point out the political errors of the majority and be the political opposition in this country. Because if we fail we would surrender total power to liberals. And when that happens, this nation would become the USSA (Union of Socialist States of America).

A pregnant woman in the U.K. was left unattended for hours and had to give birth on a hospital floor despite her desperate appeal for a bed.
Health board officials have apologized to Lynne Neilson, 36, whose baby started to arrive as she stood, still clothed, in an assessment room at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, a major teaching hospital in Scotland, after hours of waiting to be admitted. As the baby’s head appeared, a midwife ran in just in time to put a paper mat on the floor and catch the baby, who had the umbilical cord around her neck.
Neilson and her husband Gavin filed an official complaint after the incident. The U.K.’s National Health Service in the Lothian region of Scotland, which oversees the hospital, is investigating the complaint and has apologized to the woman.
The couple had arrived at the hospital’s Simpson Memorial Maternity Pavilion on the morning of Dec. 5, but went home when the labor pains slowed. They returned at 7 p.m. and were told to sit in the waiting room. As the contractions began to occur closer together, Gavin Neilson asked repeatedly for help until his wife, in pain and barely able to walk, was finally moved to an assessment room and examined by a midwife.
“She took control and put down a disposable mat on the floor,” Lynne Neilson said, referring to the midwife. “She caught the baby –- I was standing up and she was born on to the floor. I was very relieved that the midwife had come, because we were panicking.”
Baby Orla was born about two-and-a-half hours after the Neilson’s arrived at the hospital.

Ok, here’s the deal… I’m a bit sick of Blagojevich now. Did I feel Obama’s blanket statement that he didn’t have ANY contact with the embroiled governor of Illinois since his election was a bit deceiving? Possibly. I felt at the time that he didn’t have any clue as to whether or not any member of his transition team may or may not have had any discussions with the governor or his subordinates. At the time I thought that a more prudent answer from Obama would have been something along the lines of…
“Since my election on November 4th, I personally have had no conversations with Gov. Blagojevich about my vacated Senate seat. I cannot say at this time at any level of certainty that there hasn’t been any contact from any other member of my transition team. I will discuss this matter with my chief counsel designee and address any findings with members of the media when I know all the facts.”
A statement similar to this would have called off the wolves in the media who would make more out of this than appears on the surface. However, the President-Elect didn’t do that. He made the blanket statement and now in a way he’s got questions to answer. Because a senior member of his staff did have conversations with the governor AND his staff, concerning a vacancy of a Congressional seat as-well-as Obama’s vacated Senate seat, it can be said that the President-Elect did have conversations with the governor.
Mountains and mole hills I know, but Obama brought the controversy upon himself by not selecting his words carefully. Speak to what you know for sure and don’t make statements that could be twisted into meanings that were unintended.
Obama meant in his blanket statement that he personally had no contact, but his vague wording led the media and pundents to speculate. We know now that Rham Emanuel had contact with the governor so the follow up conversation with the media could have been handled like…
“Since our last conversation I have conducted an investigation into who if anyone on my transition team had any contact with Governor Blagojevich and/or his staff. At this time I can report that the only member of my team who had any contact with the governor’s office was Chief of Staff Designee Rham Emanuel.
Rep. Emanuel contacted the governor directly to inform the governor that he was accepting the position of White House Chief of Staff in my Administration and that his seat was also going to be available for appointment. He further had conversations on my direction with John Harris, Chief of Staff to the Governor, concerning potential candidates for my vacated Senate seat. The conversation consisted of Rep. Emanuel informing Harris as to which candidates I feel that I can best work with in order to put forth programs which I feel are to the best benefit to this nation. Nothing more.
I am satisfied that no other contact was made with the governor or members of his administration concerning candidates for the seat. I am also confident that in this one conversation no discussion ever took place concerning the so-called “pay-to-play” scheme the governor has been accused of engaging in.
I would refer you to the US Attorney’s office in Chicago as to the alleged criminal elements to this investigation and consider my involvement in this matter closed.”
But because he loused up the initial statement, he couldn’t very well make a statement along the lines of the one that I drafted above. Too bad. Because that would have been Presidential.
I’m afraid that the President-Elect will likely be a repeat of the scandal riddled Clintonian Infestation of the ’90s.

Let’s not be too willing to accept Barry’s assertions that he had nothing to do with Blagojevich’s actions. A report from a television station in Quincy has mysteriously disappeared after being featured on The Drudge Report. The report documented Barry’s meeting with Blagojevich the day after the election. Not involved Mr. President-Elect? Somehow I doubt that.
There is the matter of a missing television report from Quincy, IL where the President-Elect stated that he had plans to meet with the governor. I still believe that report. Because if it weren’t true why would it have been deleted? As much as I believe that Obama had nothing to do with Blago’s schemes, I still need to know what happen to that report.

So can we move on already? The US Attorney will deal with Blago and his criminal activities. After his conviction, he can then join a long line of corrupt Illinois Governors in prison where he belongs.
As cynical as I normally am of Hollywierd entertainers, today I must give one member of the entertainment industry his due. Kudos to David Spade for donating $100,000 to the Phoenix Police Department for the purchase of rifles.
People magazine and Fox News Channel are both reporting that the actor/comedian wanted to make this donation in order to keep the officers of the Phoenix PD and the community safe.

The funnyman. 44, stopped by a police station in his former hometown of Phoenix on Monday morning to present a check for $100,000 toward the purchase of rifles for patrol officers, the police department says in a statement.
The donation helps fund a program being coordinated by Phoenix Police Chief and Public Safety Manager Jack Harris and Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Officer Mark Spencer.
“Asking there be no fanfare or media attention, Mr. Spade called last week and said he wanted to donate $100,000 to the Phoenix Police Department towards the purchase of rifles to help keep our patrol officers and community safe,” the statement says.
“This mutual agreement can now move ahead with momentum thanks to the generosity of Mr. Spade.”
Way to go David Spade.
What I like about this whole story is that in spite of the leak to the media, Spade wanted no fanfare. He didn’t do this seeking kudos from anybody. This is why he deserves them.
The cold snap which has crept across the nation over the past week has proven one thing – the AGW Generation is grossly unprepared for the deep freeze.
This morning I read an article from the AP in which a 19 year old native Chicagoan states emphatically, “this is the coldest I’ve felt all year.” That may be Miss Chicago-land, but it is going to get even colder if history proves accurate. February tends to be the coldest month of the year in the Midwest. As a Midwesterner I think I know this history first hand – so don’t bother looking for a citable source Kevin the Chimp. It is especially bad if you live near a sizable body of water (like Lake Michigan or in my case Lake Erie).
A couple of weeks ago I read a report somewhere that up until that point, the sun hadn’t had any sunspots in over a month. Prediction in that long lost article suggested that December could be a spot free month as well. If true, this could mean even colder temperatures for Chicago, the rest of the Midwest, the North East, and just about every other corner of the nation and planet.
It has occurred to me that cyclic global warming has robbed today’s youth of the conditioning that some of us grew up with. Keep in mind, as a Gen X’er, I grew up in the tail end of the last cold spell. I was in the second grade when the blizzard of ‘77 hit. When it was all said and done, between the record snow totals and the drifting it is safe to say there was enough white crap on the ground to last a lifetime.
Where I live now they still talk of the blizzard of ‘78 like it was the end all to beat all of snow storms. In Dayton, OH a record 12″ of snow fell in a 24 hour period. Where I grew up we call that a dusting. But the youth of today has never seen amounts of accumulation that high. This past February while living in Dayton, 10″ fell in a 24 hour period and the city shut down. I was out driving in it less than an hour after the snow stopped falling.
People have been conditioned by High Priest Al Gore*, the nitwits at the IPCC, and the agenda driven liberal MSM to believe that life on this planet is doomed to a disastrous roasting from Anthropological (man made for dipsticks like Meat for Brains) Global Warming. And it is because of this indoctrination that people are NOT prepared for cold snaps let alone a long term cooling trends.
Ironically there are some who actually blame the cold snap on Global Warming. What idiots would claim that warming is responsible for cold? Don’t ask me to explain the complexities of the liberal mind.
The truth is that the earth hasn’t had any warming in the past 10 years. And contrary to the manufactured “evidence” produced by High Priest Al Gore*, his minions in the Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots*, the IPCC, and the news media, the earth is now entering a cooling trend known as a Minimum. And as it does, those who are preparing for rising sea levels attributed to the incandescent light bulb and cars are going to be in for a shock. My advice? Go out and buy some long underwear. Buy several pairs and a hot water bottle. Because it is going to be a long-term situation.
And where is the President-Elect while his beloved Chicago is in the deep freeze? Why vacationing at a $9 million ocean front home in Hawaii of course. Attention all you rank-in-file Obama-maniacs (that means you too all you ghetto dwelling apathetic I’ve never voted before ACORN produced voters)… You’ve been duped into thinking he’s like you. Did you have an opportunity to fly off to Hawaii multiple times this past year?
While the nation enters a global depression led by the collapse of the real estate market (due to conditions set up by liberals under Jimmy “I’m the worst President in US history” Carter), Obama again vacations in luxury as YOU lose your job.

I propose this premise not because I support a bailout of the auto industry, but rather because I feel that every manufacturer involved in the production of automobiles in the United States should be treated equally.
For instance, if General Motors is to receive $20 billion, why shouldn’t Ford and Chrysler also receive the same $20 billion? And if the Big 3 are each going to receive $20 billion to stay afloat and keep Americans working, why not then give invest $20 billion in Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, and Volkswagon? After-all, Toyota and company employ Americans as well don’t they?
And if the automakers themselves are going to receive bailout money, why not their suppliers? What about the companies that make interiors? Safety equipment? Interior carpeting? Radios? And all the other components of a car that are not actually made by the assembling company? Shouldn’t we be boosting their viability as well?
And if the taxpayers are going to subsidize auto-industry suppliers, why not their vendors as well? Each company who supplies the materials needed to manufacture a part for any car built in the United States needs to remain viable. If we support one, we should support them all. Right?
The truth is Democrats on the hill aren’t interested in keeping Americans working. They are only interested in keeping UAW workers working. Democrats on the hill are only interested in protecting their union masters. Jobs are only a positive bi-product.
The Democrats in the majority in Congress are in the hip pockets of the labor unions of this nation. If they weren’t, there would be no discussion about “card check”. The miserably un-democratic proposal to remove secret ballots from union voting. For a political Party with the goal of spreading democracy the Democrats seem more willing to eliminate democratic practices rather than defend them.
Here is what needs to happen…

The American people cannot afford this bailout anyway. More importantly, why should the auto industry be treated like something special? If Joe’s Coffee Bar on the corner of Main Street and 1st Avenue can’t pay their bills they file for bankruptcy. So should the Big 3.
The problem with the Big 3 is their agreements with the UAW. Their massively expensive legacy expenses are insane. The contracts that the Big 3 have signed with the UAW are not sustainable. Without concessions from the union, there cannot be any recovery in the industry. Bankruptcy is an avenue to open those union contracts and renegotiate under the supervision of the Bankruptcy Court.

That’s right campers, the ‘Messiah’ himself has named the chief of a failing public school system to a post which could lead to the widening of that failure.
