No Mr. President – No Pardon for Convicted Drug Offender

For the past several days FoxNews.com has been featuring a 3 part series about convicted drug offender Clarence Aaron. The author of the stories, Jennifer Lawinski, and his supporters are forgetting that this guy actually committed the crimes for which he is being punished. We are not talking about some boy scout that was convicted of a crime that he did not commit. They are fighting for a pardon based solely on the premise that they do not feel that his punishment fits his crime.

Aaron was convicted of trafficking in cocaine destined to become crack. The minimum sentencing guidelines for that crime at the time of his conviction was what he got, 3 life terms. Why is it that these people cannot get it thought their tiny little minds that when you commit a crime and get caught, you have to serve your sentence? He was convicted of attempting to traffic 24 kilos of crack cocaine. In 1993 the crack epidemic was at its hight and sentencing was harsh for a reason. He did the crime, he has to do the time.

There is a pattern of thought prevailing among those in modern society that people shouldn’t be punished for their infractions of the law. This is a dangerous mindset. If anything an example should be made of this individual.

All the tear letting over this turd is because he once showed promise on the basketball court. So What! I don’t care who you are, if you break the law there is a price for that infraction. Be a man and pay it.

So no Mr. President, do not grant this dangerous felon a pardon. He did it so he must pay the price. Just think, if he had gotten away with his crime, how many children would have been poisoned by this guy? He is precisely where he belongs. Leave him there.
