GOP BUDGET ALTERNATIVE SET TO CURB SPENDING, CREATE JOBS, & CONTROL DEBT

In a weekend story entitled “Weeks of Obama’s Budget Sales Pitch and Support Still Slips,” the Los Angeles Times reported that the more Americans learn about the President’s budget, the more unpopular it becomes. And a new Washington Post/ABC News poll released today found that the American people are increasingly skeptical about the President’s economic proposals. Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) addressed this point today at a press conference:

“There’s no question that [families and small businesses] are struggling and as they struggle it’s pretty clear that the budget that’s being presented by the President spends too much, taxes too much, and it borrows too much from our kids and grandkids. The President has been on this big road show over the last two weeks. He was out in California doing town hall meetings, he was on the Leno show, was on 60 Minutes, came up here last night to rally support for his budget, but it seems like the more he talks about it, the less people like it. And it’s clear that the numbers in support of his budget continue to collapse because as more Americans find out how much spending is in here and how much debt is going to be laid on the backs of our kids and grandkids, it continues to lose support.” (AUDIO)

Working on a better solution, Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan (R-WI) previewed the GOP alternative he will unveil tomorrow, noting it will be “a budget that is lower on spending, that is lower on deficits, that is lower on taxes, that is lower on debt and higher on jobs.” Ryan also pointed to a chart highlighting the stark difference in spending and debt between the Obama budget and the Republican alternative:

While the Obama budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much, the GOP alternative set to be introduced tomorrow will strengthen the economy and restore fiscal sanity by letting families and small businesses keep more of what they earn; ensuring federal budget doesn’t grow faster than family budgets; committing to real entitlement reform and expanding Americans’ access to affordable health care; ending the bailouts to protect taxpayers; reducing gas prices through an “all of the above” energy plan; and fighting inflation so prices of goods and services remain stable.

I don’t care what the GOP says now, I want action. I’ve had enough of the talk. If it were not for Conservatives, nare a one of them would hold office. If they don’t listening, they will find out what it’s really like to be left out in the cold. How dare they treat us like idiots!

We have supported them through thick and thin, and they want us to believe that all of a sudden they remembered why we sent them there? HA! No way. I’m a ‘show me’ type of gal, and I’m very angry.

Speaking about herding hundreds of cats, why is it they don’t remember NOT to spend money when we have a Republican president? I love George Bush, but I did not agree with everything he put forward.

And that’s only a few. As quickly and harshly as we shut down the push to give ILLEGAL aliens amnesty, that is nothing in comparison to how quickly we will throw these bums out. I’ve had it. No more money. Stop calling me. Stop cutting down those trees to send me junk mail. Just stop it.

Do your job. They may have a wee bit of credibility IF they had shown an ounce of stones when they were in charge. Boehner has to go. He is not a leader. None of them ever stood up for President Bush when he was under attack. No. They just ran and hid in the DhimmiRats caucus. We do NOT need people of that ilk.

Dems Dump Middle-Class Tax Cuts from Budget While Keeping New National Energy Tax That Hits All Americans

Eighty-One Percent of Americans Believe Middle-Class Tax Relief is Important to Keep in Budget, New Survey Shows

WASHINGTON, DC – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today challenged President Obama’s apparent decision to allow the Democratic-controlled Congress to dump his long-promised middle-class tax cut from the FY 2010 budget, and vowed Republicans will offer a better budget that cuts taxes for middle-class families instead of raising them through a new national energy tax.

“This is an epic bait-and-switch that should infuriate every middle-class family in America,” Boehner said. “The American people overwhelmingly believe middle-class tax relief is essential to getting our economy moving again. But instead of cutting taxes for middle-class families, Washington Democrats are raising their taxes by as much as $3,100 a year in the middle of a deep recession.”

President Obama’s budget director, Peter Orszag, has endorsed both the House and Senate versions of the President’s FY 2010 budget – but according to the New York Times, “neither would extend a middle-class tax cut championed by Mr. Obama beyond 2010 unless a source of revenue to pay for it is identified.” Meanwhile, Boehner noted that a new national energy tax insisted upon by the President will hit virtually every American family and small business and could cost every American household up to $3,100 a year. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) confirmed this in public comments last week in which he indicated Democrats will use revenue from the President’s new national energy tax to pay for an expansion of government-run health care.

According to a Rasmussen survey released today, 81 percent of Americans believe it is important for Congress to pass a budget that includes the middle-class tax relief that was frequently promised but now abandoned by President Obama. Only 15 percent say the promised middle-class tax relief is not important.

“The Democratic budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much,” Boehner said. “It will hurt middle-class families at a time when they can least afford it.”

“Americans deserve a better budget, and members of all political stripes will have the chance to vote for one when the full text of the GOP alternative being finalized by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is released this week,” Boehner added. “Instead of raising taxes on middle-class families and all Americans through the President’s national energy tax, Republicans will do what the American people want their government to do: we will curb spending, control the debt, and reduce the tax burden on working families and small businesses to create jobs and ease the strain on family budgets.”

NYT: CFL’s Suck…

… but we are mandated by Congressional ban to eliminate incandescents and the US consumer will suffer for that ban.

The ballyhoo was that CFL’s would (1) last longer; (2) save on your energy bills; and (3) save the environment. But the reality of the situation is that they haven’t any hope of doing any of the above.

According to the VERY liberal New York Times…

But a lot of people these days are finding the new compact fluorescent bulbs anything but simple. Consumers who are trying them say they sometimes fail to work, or wear out early. At best, people discover that using the bulbs requires learning a long list of dos and don’ts.

Irritation seems to be rising as more consumers try compact fluorescent bulbs, which now occupy 11 percent of the nation’s eligible sockets, with 330 million bulbs sold every year. Consumers are posting vociferous complaints on the Internet after trying the bulbs and finding them lacking.

Bulb makers and promoters say the overall quality of today’s compact fluorescents is high. But they also concede that it is difficult to prevent some problem bulbs from slipping through.

At nearly $4 a bulb (for a name brand bulb) there should be absolutely NO CHANCE of any defective bulbs hitting the market. It has been my position that abandoning incandescent bulbs is a mistake that Congress doesn’t have to directly deal with. The American consumer must.

These damned things are (1) too expensive (unless you want to buy the generic bulbs for $1 at the local Dollar General from a company no one has EVER heard of before); (2) fall short of their ballyhoo because they aren’t lasting longer and have a high rate of defects; (3) will do nothing to “save the planet” when they are filling up landfills at a faster rate than incandescent bulbs; (4) are filled with mercury (can anyone say mercury poisoning if one breaks – OH YEAH, turn your home into a SuperFund site); and (5) can cause some (including myself) to suffer migraine headaches.

Compounding the problem of defects in the CFL’s, that’s right, government mandates.

According to the Times…

Some experts who study the issue blame the government for the quality problems, saying an intensive federal push to lower the price essentially backfired by encouraging manufacturers to use cheap components.

“In the pursuit of the holy grail, we stepped on the consumer,” said Michael Siminovitch, director of a lighting center at the University of California, Davis.

Much of the credit for that sharp cost decline goes to the Energy Department. The agency asked manufacturers in 1998 to create cheaper models and then helped find large-volume buyers, like universities and utilities, to buy them. That jump-started a mass market and eventually led to sales of discounted bulbs at retailers like Costco, Wal-Mart Stores and Home Depot.

Consumers are supposed to be able to protect themselves by buying bulbs certified under the government’s Energy Star program. But experts and some environmental groups complain that Energy Star standards are weak, permitting low-quality bulbs with too high a level of mercury, a toxic metal contained in all compact fluorescents.

“The standard essentially establishes a floor, which sorts out the junk, with the expectation that the rest is good,” Mr. Siminovitch said. “It’s not.”

The government, which will begin enforcing tighter specifications this year, says it must seek a balance between quality and affordability to achieve its goal of getting millions of additional consumers to install the bulbs.

“Something that is perfect but not affordable wouldn’t serve the broad interests,” said Peter Banwell, the Energy Department’s manager of product marketing for Energy Star.

Government mandates only serve to make life more expensive. Just wait until every single man, woman, and child in this nation is 100% dependent upon a government incapable of providing for us. Then what will we do? Barry the Socialist doesn’t know. And apparently neither do you because YOU voted for the turd.

So if you want to turn your home into a space unsafe for your family, go out and buy some hideously over-priced poisoning bulbs that have about as much of a chance at saving the planet than that futile effort of turning your lights off for an hour yesterday. By the way, I turned all of mine on to counter you idiots who actually believe that man, that insignificant wart on the earth, has the power to alter the course of nature. You people are so stupid I wonder how you are capable of breathing on your own.

I installed CFL’s a year ago as an experiment… now, as they burn out (and they don’t seem to last one damn bit longer – but cost a hell of a lot more) I’m replacing them with incandescents… and stocking up on incandescents.

I’ve had them in 11 + months now and the average electric bill hasn’t changed more than .5% from where it was and damn sure doesn’t cover the cost of the bulbs. Everything being equal, screw ‘em!!!

Reid: Kowtow Or I’ll Eliminate You from the Legislative Process

Harry ‘the human sleeping pill” Reid is using political threats in an attempt to peel off RINO support for the massive socialist agenda of the Democrats – namely the Obama Budget, Universal Health Care, and Cap-And-Trade legislation. That’s the party of the working man for you, eliminate the minority in order to pass totalitarian legislation. But hell, you voted for it.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is holding the option of using a legislative maneuver to create not only a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health care system but also a controversial cap and trade energy program, a move that could torpedo bipartisanship.

The maneuver, known as “reconciliation,” protects legislation to which it’s attached from a Senate filibuster. Republicans, in their deep minority status, are in an uproar over the possibility that they will be all but eliminated from the legislative process. SOURCE

The 2006 and 2008 gains made by Congress are even more damaging than electing our new Dictator-in-Chief. By electing Democrats to such huge majorities in the House and Senate, the Republican Minority has virtually no ability to stop harmful legislation from passing. Hence the Porkulus, or as I have affectionately named it – The Democrat Lard Act of 2009.

Any legislation which the majority knows it cannot get any Republican defections to support, can be labeled “Reconciliation” and bypass the rules of cloture. For a party who brought the use of cloture rules during the years of Republican control to an art-form, it seems a bit hypocritical of the current majority to abandon the much touted “rights of the minority” battle-cry that they employed when they were the minority.

But Republicans are not alone in their opposition. A sizable number of Democrats have protested the move; first and foremost, Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., who excluded it from his committee’s budget passed Thursday.

So concerned about the possibility of it being used, Sens. Robert Byrd, D-W.V., and Mike Johnanns, R-Neb., sent a letter of strong protest to the majority leader.

As opponents of proposed cap and trade measures, Byrd, the Senate’s most senior member and lead watchdog of Senate rules and decorum, and Johanns told Reid, “Enactment of a cap-and-trade regime is likely to influence nearly every feature of the U.S. economy.

“Legislation so far-reaching should be fully vetted and given appropriate time for debate, something the budget reconciliation process does not allow. Using this procedure would circumvent normal Senate practice and would be inconsistent with the Obama dministration’s stated goals of bipartisanship, cooperation, and openness,” they wrote.

Conrad and Byrd are not the only Senate Democrats opposed to using reconciliation. Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., said he is prepared to vote against the final budget if it returns from House-Senate negotiations with the restriction.

Nelson is part of a group of 15 moderate Democrats concerned about levels of spending and growing deficits. They are set to meet Tuesday to discuss how to move forward on the budget.

Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., top Republican on the Budget Committee, said Wednesday that reconciliation is not always a bad thing. He supported it when President Bill Clinton wanted tax increases to pay down the debt. But Gregg draws the line at creating major changes in environment and health care laws.

“When you are taking the entire health system of the United States, restructuring it, changing it fundamentally, moving it to the left significantly, basically nationalizing it for all intents and purposes … without any opportunity for changes on the floor of the Senate, well, you might as well not have a Senate. You might as well just have a House of Representatives. It totally undermines the purposes of the two branches of government,” Gregg told FOX News. SOURCE

It will take a minimum of 10 Democrat Senators to reject legislation that Reid successfully labels “Reconciliation”. Should only 9 vote with Republicans to reject the legislation, Reid can call upon Big Mouth Joe to cast his vote in order to break the tie. Anyone besides me smell the foul odor of abuse coming from the Majority Leader’s office?

If permitted to abuse the rules governing “Reconciliation”, Reid’s majority is abandoning Democratic principles and permitting the death of the Republic. A dangerous proposition to say the least. When Sen. Robert C. Byrd sides with the GOP you KNOW there has got to be something rotten in Reid’s office. And its name is Harry Reid.

House Republicans Unveil The True Road to Recovery

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement on the “Road to Recovery,” a detailed plan to curb spending, create jobs, and control the debt, in contrast to the irresponsible budget proposed by President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress, which spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much:

As the Democrat Caucus pushes forward with implementing the President’s budget and in the process eliminates his much touted “Middle-Class tax cut”, is the GOP Caucus prepared to take the Democrats and their President to the mat in the coming election (meaning the midterms) and remind the American people who exactly is responsible for raising taxes on the poorest segment of the population during the recession with the elimination of the 10% tax bracket and increased taxes on tobacco and other consumer products?

In his answer the Minority Leader assured us that we “don’t have to worry about that”. That a number of really good Conservative candidates are coming forward to challenge the liberals in the upcoming midterms.

The reason I asked the question was that the Democrats were left virtually unchallenged in the 2006 & 2008 elections on the subject of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans when in fact the Bush tax cuts created a lower tax bracket that was previously non-existent. When they are allowed to expire, that 10% bracket will be eliminated and those taxpayers currently paying that lowest rate will see a 50% increase in their rate when they find themselves back in the 15% bracket. Combine that with the implementation of new taxes on tobacco products on April 1st of this year and calls for an increase in the gasoline tax, the regressive nature of the Obamaramadingdong’s budget and tax proposals will hit all Americans. But they will have a larger impact on the poorest of the population. I am concerned that the liberal media will cover over these facts come election time should the GOP mount an ineffective campaign against the liberal fiction machine.

Another Ohio Blogger asked about the lack of Blue Dog Democrat opposition to the Obamaramadingdong’s agenda to which Rep. Boehner said that they are nothing more than “lap dogs for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and President Obama”. And that there are very few actual Conservative Democrats in the House.

When Justin Higgins brought up the subject of the national tea parties and asked whether or not they are being getting any attention on ‘the Hill’, Rep. Boehner reminded us that the hastily thrown together legislation that House Dems put together to insulate themselves from responsibility in the AIG bonus fiasco was a result of public outrage and that Congress responds to the engaged electorate. From this I took that we should be wearing out the phone lines, bombarding the emails, clogging the fax machines, and generally making ourselves into a force that the elected elites cannot ignore and eventually, we’ll get heard.

There have been calls on the public to send tea bags to their elected officials to protest the fiscal irresponsibility of the current Congress and their President – Obamaramadingdong. My information is that these tea bags are NOT being received by your elected elites. Because the bags can contain a potentially hazardous substance, they are being disposed of before delivery. Instead, the current method is to remove the tag from the tea bag and mail that in.

Just think, a typical box of tea bags contains 100 bags of tea. One has the ability to enjoy the tea and send each Senator a tea bag tag from just 1 box. Estimated retail cost $3. Postage on the other hand…

Obama Continues To Reiterate His Weakness to the Muslim World

Immediately after winning the election, Obamaramadingdong signaled his willingness to open dialog with Iran after decades of silence. The Iranians answered with contempt at the President Elect.

Immediately after taking office, Obamaramadingdong sent a note to the Iranian leadership expressing a willingness to ease the tensions between our nations which was answered by ridicule and observations of American weakness under the Obama Infestation.

So what does that Obamaramadingdong do next? He sends a VIDEO to Iranian leadership to which they have replied…

Khamenei’s initial response was not encouraging, but U.S. officials and European diplomats noted that the Iranian leader did not rule out a future breakthrough. A familiar chant of “Death to America” echoed around a religious shrine in the northeastern city of Mashhad as Khamenei complained that Obama had “insulted the Islamic republic of Iran from the first day.”

He added: “If you are right that change has come, where is that change? Make it clear for us what has changed.”

His remarks came as a nuclear powered U.S. submarine — the USS Hartford — collided at sea with an amphibious vessel, the USS New Orleans, off the Straits of Hormuz. Fifteen sailors were injured, but the submarine’s atomic propulsion system was undamaged.

The Iranian leader’s comments followed a striking attempt by Obama to break the deadlock with the country. The president marked the beginning of the Persian new year with conciliatory remarks intended to establish a new commitment to diplomacy after years of bellicose exchanges between Tehran and the administration of former President George W. Bush.

In the video — subtitled in Farsi — Obama pledged to pursue “constructive ties.” The president noted that the process would “not be advanced by threats,” and referred to Iran as an “Islamic republic,” signalling his readiness to deal with the current religious leadership. SOURCE

Einstein said of insanity – “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” So what is Obamaramadingdong trying to prove by repeating the same redundant tactic over and over?

Obamaramadingdong is one of these types that cannot understand why people don’t think the way that he does. He was raised with an idea that America is the ultimate evil in the world and if WE ‘change’ the world will ‘change’ in turn. He thinks that the American people ushered in ‘change’ by his election. That is the only ‘change’ ever promised by him. The election of an African-American is the only positive ‘change’ that you are entitled to.

The theme of his Olive Branch Diplomacy* is, “America has ‘changed’ as evidenced by the election of Me, the Messiah, the first African-American (non-white) to the Presidency. That should be the only proof you need to prove that we have ‘changed’.” His repeated efforts to send this message to the deaf ears of the Iranian Mullahs is proof, if Einstein was correct, that Obamaramadingdong is – in fact – INSANE.

There exists only two (that’s 2 for you morons who voted for this imbecile) ways that the United States and Iran can ever not be adversarial. The first is submission by the United States to Islam as a theocratic philosophy and joining in the Islamic Caliphate that is coming. OR the second, complete military defeat of Iran and all other Islamic theocracies.

Islamic theocratic nations are never going to submit to a world order which brings about the Kumbaya socialist fantasy of the left. There will never be peace in the Middle-East as long as Islam is permitted to control nations. That said however, there is a complete lack of willingness among the nations of the world to rid our planet of Islamic theocracies.

Radical Islam’s war of fear on the world is in fact – succeeding. As long as we give them legitimacy, they will continue to spread their message of hate. It is embedded in western society whether you want to admit it or not – it IS here.

The first step in countering this covert invasion is to counter it EVERYWHERE not just on the battlefield. Obama in his arrogant socialism doesn’t see a problem. Buddy up to them and perhaps they won’t destroy us. This is a mistake. It is weakness and the Mullahs of Iran and radical Sheiks will exploit this weakness.

Putting this weakness out for the world to see openly is a mistake that Obama is using to destroy everything American. It is embedded in his programming. Yes I said programming.

Obama is the Manchurian Candidate among us. His programming started at infancy by his beloved Mommy and her openly socialist parents. It grew under their tutelage and matured under the influence of Frank Marshall Davis. Obama sees his election as an endorsement of the nation that now is the time for socialism. And the Politically Apathetic American Lemmings who voted for this turd made it possible.

Combining his openly socialist upbringing with the ultra leftist bent under which the House of Representatives is run – the United Socialist States of American is in the birthing stage of labor. It is during this birthing stage when radical Islam has its opening to exploit the chaos created by the radical ‘change’ of the leftists and now they can worm their way into control. Democrat Incompetence Beginning to Show

I’m holding back the urge to say it, but it seems that I warned you all a year ago that Democrats are incapable of governing. And now it is showing. I hope, most likely in vain, that the American people remember this time the lessons being learned by their failure at the ballot box.

In 1980, under then President Jimmy Carter, interest rates were in excess of 20%, inflation and unemployment were in double digits, Iran was holding 52 American diplomats hostage, there was an oil embargo, odd and even gas rationing, and the FAILURE in the Oval Office enjoyed Democrat Party majorities in both houses of Congress.

Today, unemployment has hit double digits in a few states already and the current libtarded FAILURE infesting 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. has only been in office 2 months. The same majorities in Congress which failed to produce in the 110th Congress are flexing their legislative muscles and thrusting this nation down the path towards socialism in the 111th. The Obamaramadingdong and his Congressional allies are racking up trillions of dollars in deficits; and those interest rates won’t stay bottomed out forever. Inflation is rearing its ugly head and the Federal Reserve will not have long before they are forced to raise interest rates to slow the inflationary environment.

This is precisely what I warned about a year ago. It is a danger to have Democrats in charge of anything in this nation. They are better served keeping responsible leaders morally grounded. But as leaders, there hasn’t been any from the left since John F. Kennedy.

Some on the left side of life may disagree with that last statement and cite Bill Clinton to which I replay – Slick Billy Bob Bubba only began to produce positive results AFTER Republicans took over majorities in both houses of Congress in 1995. Clinton’s positives were the result of the Contract with America – which, had it not been abandoned by Congressional Republicans, would have continued to produce positive economic numbers and we wouldn’t have Obamaramadingdong pretending to be President.

While Rome burned, Nero fiddled. While the United States fails economically, Obama makes appearances on Jay Leno and hosts cocktail parties. And the First Lady plants organic vegetable gardens on the White House lawn.

We warned you about his elitism and you failed to listen. Will you listen now that the nation is going to hell in a hand basket? Somehow I doubt it.

Will Al Gore Now Please SHUT UP!

The headline reads, “UW-Milwaukee Study Could Realign Climate Change Theory“ so my question is, “If true, will Al Gore now please shut up!” I think my question is rather valid if a center of liberal thought is finally expressing with scientific data what we have been saying all along – climate change is a natural event.

My problem with the Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots* and all of those non-thinking Politically Apathetic American Lemmings* who buy into that kind of BS every time a libtard they respect open their mouth about such malarkey is that they never stopped to think that it could be a natural occurrence and man, as evil as they think we are, is incapable of influencing the climate as dramatically as they have been claiming.

Skeptics to their psudo-scientific theories such as myself have been labeled by those on the left who buy into this male bovine excrement as “global warming deniers” and the labels haven’t been exactly truthful. I never said that global warming didn’t exist. I fully acknowledge as a person who grew up in the rust belt that annual snow falls had been dramatically decreasing for decades. I lived through the Bizzard of 1977 on the lake Erie lakeshore east of Cleveland and west of Buffalo, NY. I understand what heavy snowfall is and what a real blizzard looks like. And those snowfalls haven’t been seen since I was a child, so denying that the earth was in a warming trend would have been insane. All I’ve claimed is that man had very little to do with the phenomenon if anything at all. And it seems that evidence is showing that I was right.

The referenced article from wisn.com affirms what I have been saying all along. I do differ with the article in that its claims are that we must understand what is natural in order to know what man’s contribution is. I assert that man’s contribution is insignificant.

Scientists at the university used a math application known as synchronized chaos and applied it to climate data taken over the past 100 years.

Scientists said that the air and ocean systems of the earth are now showing signs of synchronizing with each other.

Eventually, the systems begin to couple and the synchronous state is destroyed, leading to a climate shift.

The most recent climate shift probably occurred at about the year 2000.

Seeing how the earth has failed to warm since 1997, their statement about the shift occurring about the year 2000 seems to confirm what we’ve been saying.

What I find interesting is that this news story is NOT all over the MSM. Why? Because it does not play into their political agenda.

People, it bears repeating that the demonization of atmospheric CO2 as the cause of global warming or climate change or whatever the term of the day is, is nothing more than using populism and false data in order to terrify you into believing their chicken little theories. CO2 is a minority greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. THE MOST ABUNDANT GREENHOUSE GAS IN THE EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE IS WATER VAPOR. But I don’t hear Gore or any of his minions suggesting the asinine idea of draining the world’s oceans.

Like the economy and the liberal fixes that have been attempted, climate change is just another manufactured “crisis” used by those who currently control Washington to fleece the American people out of as much of their wealth as possible. Like the economy, politicians are too willing to jump aboard the populous bandwagon and pass legislation in an effort to fix the crisis without knowing if a crisis ever existed in the first place. No one in political office or advocating drastic changes in how we live has considered, “will this thing work itself out on its own?” No, they can’t consider that because if a crisis is capable of fixing itself, there is no need for these simpletons in elected office.

On the contrary, they pass legislation which bans incandescent light bulbs in favor of compact florescent light bulbs which are 3 times more expensive and dangerous if broken because of some promise of saving energy. They consider asinine ideas such as capping CO2 emissions by businesses which in turn will drive up costs for businesses and cost more jobs in a slumping economy. Why? Because some Eurotrash that they idolize has already done it. Which prompts me to ask another question. “Why the hell did our forefathers leave Europe in the first place if it is the Utopia that liberals consider it to be?”

The libtards* currently in charge have this mind numbing notion that somehow the Europeans know better than we do about how to run an economy, a heath care system, and how to take care of the earth. Their collective economies are in the toilet, their health care systems are over burdened and under funded and people are dying while they wait their lives away on waiting lists for procedures that they could get within days here in the states. And to top it all off, they have adopted a socialist model where it is impossible to go out of business if the business environment is no longer competitive because the government won’t let you fire your employees. Ask yourself, “Why are Volkswagen’s built in the United States now?” Could it be those caps in CO2 emissions?

Let’s face it campers, no matter how many restrictions that you put on people and businesses, no matter how many people you put in the bread lines, countries like India, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Iran, and other rogue nations of the world will not abide by whatever you come up with and the problem, even if it is man made, will continue. So why bankrupt the American economy and why should Americans suffer because you feel compelled to act to end a perceived crisis when the rogues of the world won’t do a damned thing. They’ll continue to pollute and we’ll starve to death. These nations’ economies will thrive as businesses move there and we’ll become impoverished.

It’s time to STOP THE INSANITY as Susan Powder used to say.

Contradictory Actions Show Obama To Be King of All Idiots

In a move that shows just exactly how stupid our new President is, Obama signed the 465-page Omnibus package which, in section 509 of Title V makes his executive order of two days earlier moot. The amendment to the Omnibus package makes it illegal to use funding included in the Act to finance “research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death.” Just 2 days earlier, Obamaramadingdong signed an executive order reversing a Bush era EO that banned the use of federal funds for the creation of and the research on new embryonic stem cells.

The amendment says, in part: “None of the funds made available in this Act may be used for—(1) the creation of a human embryo or embryos for research purposes; or (2) research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death.”

Found in Section 509 of Title V of the omnibus bill (at page 280 of the 465-page document), the federal funding ban not only prohibits the government from providing tax dollars to support research that kills or risks injury to a human embryo, it also mandates that the government use an all-inclusive definition of “human embryo” that encompasses any nascent human life from the moment that life comes into being, even if created in a laboratory through cloning, in vitro fertilization or any other means.

“For the purposes of this section,” says the law, “the term ‘human embryo or embryos’ includes any organism … that is derived by fertilization, parthenogenesis, cloning, or any other means from one or more human gametes or human diploid cells.”

At a widely publicized White House ceremony on Monday, President Obama signed his own executive order lifting an executive order that President Bush had signed in 2001. While allowing federal funding of research involving embryonic stem cell lines that had already been created from embryos that had already been destroyed, Bush’s 2001 order denied federal funding to research that required the killing of any additional embryos.

“For the past 8 years, the authority of the Department of Health and Human Services, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to fund and conduct human embryonic stem cell research has been limited by Presidential actions,” said the order that President Obama signed Monday. “The purpose of this order is to remove these limitations on scientific inquiry, to expand NIH support for the exploration of human stem cell research, and in so doing to enhance the contribution of America’s scientists to important new discoveries and new therapies for the benefit of humankind.”

The order went on to say: “The Secretary of Health and Human Services (Secretary), through the Director of NIH, may support and conduct responsible, scientifically worthy human stem cell research, including human embryonic stem cell research, to the extent permitted by law.”

Obama’s signature making the Omnibus package law negates his earlier signature on the EO thereby shows the world that he is more interested in spending our grandchildren’s money than furthering causes – unless of course that cause is universal socialism.

(b) For purposes of this section, the term ‘‘human embryo or embryos’’ includes any organism, not protected as a human subject under 45 CFR 46 as of the date of the enactment of this Act, that is derived by fertilization, parthenogenesis, cloning, or any other means from one or more human gametes or human diploid cells.
