The Kentucky Ice Storm – Obama’s Katrina; A first hand observation

Over the past 7 days I had occasion to travel through the storm damaged region in Kentucky that suffered that huge ice storm a little over a month ago. Remember that one? Hundreds of thousands of people in the dark while President Barry Obama sat in an Oval Office that was heated to a point that David Axlerod made a comment about it being warm enough “to grow orchids”. There was some complaints at the time that got very little play about how Obama doesn’t like poor and middle class white folks.

You heard me correctly – Obama doesn’t like poor and middle class white people.

Rural Kentucky without argument contains more Caucasians per square mile than say – oh – New Orleans.

Now think back to the complaints heard during hurricane Katrina. George W. Bush “hates black people”.

Now, I must point out a significant difference. Bush pleaded with Mayor Ray Nagin (that’s Mr. Chocolate City to his closest friends) to issue a mandatory evacuation DAYS in advance of the storm that hit New Orleans. The people who lost their lives or were trapped within the city became victims of the storm by choice. They chose not to leave.

In Kentucky however, there was no warning. No one could predict the devastation created by the ice storm that left hundreds of thousands without electrical power for weeks. Yes I said WEEKS. Dozens died in the freezing temperatures and POTUS Obamaramadingdong did absolutely nothing.

During my recent trip through the area, I saw with my own two eyes old growth trees severed and torn apart by the weight of the ice. Thousands upon thousands of trees which have stood for centuries ripped in halve by the massive weight of the ice. Imagine now the weight that the power lines that people depended on to deliver the necessary electricity to deliver heat and light to the millions of area residents who were literally freezing to death in their own homes.

To Obama you are not worth his time unless you live in a well populated area. The ice storm damages, deaths and total lack of federal response in Kentucky proves that if you live in “fly over” country, count on an absentee President until January 20, 2013.

You see, helping poor and middle class white folks in a rural area of the state that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell hails from is not very popular with the man with the middle name Hussein. That type of assistance isn’t part of the Obama plan. And I hope that voters remember his failure to respond among his numerous shortcomings thus far in his infantile Infestation come the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November 2012.
