You wanna know what the problem is?

June 9, 2009 Opinion View Comments

There is a lot of problems we are facing in this country today. We are fighting against Islamic extremism all over the globe (EVERY conflict on the planet right now has Islam one one side of it so don’t tell me Islam is not a problem) and we are fighting a multi-front cultural war at home.

At the forefront of the cultural war here at home is the battle between the old and new orders. The old order is made up of those who believe in America and all she stands for, namely personal responsibility, freedom, self determination and American Exceptionalism. On the other side of that coin we have the socialists who believe it is governments job to take care of us and regulate everything in society so that it is “more fair” and that “outcomes” are more equal.

Bad news, the socialists appear to be winning.

Why is that? Well for starters the flower children of the 60’s, those moronic, drug crazed cowards who marched “for peace” went into education and have spent the last 3 decades indoctrinating our children into this idiotic mindset which is so prevalent today.

There are only two reasons America can be as great as she is today, even with all our problems. We have by far the highest standard of living ever. Our poor people’s greatest problem is they are too fat. Go to a welfare office. All those people have cell phones. Most of them show up in cars. They have lot sof jewelry and dress pretty nice. Of course their hordes of children run unchecked being rude and noisy because there seems to be some sort of rule that if you get welfare your parenting skills should be non existent but that is an argument for another day.

So the two reasons are either we;

A) created a system so amazing that free men left to their own devices and able to utilize the fruits of their labors to assure the security of their descendants created a society of very well off people OR;

B) we stole everything we have and deprived other people of what was rightfully theirs.

The answer is of course A as evidenced by the fact that no country is a barren wasteland due to the fact that we marched in their and stripped it bare after enslaving the population. Quite the contrary and if you ahve any doubts about it go ask the Japanese, Germans, french or an Iraqi. But to someone on the left the first answer does not exist.

It works like this to a lefty mind. If you have something that means someone else does not have it, whether you created it, earned it or bought it, the very fact that you have something and someone else does not means you are depriving them. If you have it and you are white you are also a racist. If you have a job and you get paid for the work you do you are keeping someone else down because they dont have a job. So to make up to them for the fact that you have that job you should let the government create programs that help out those less fortunate souls who don’t have a job. Never mind the fact that you went to school, learned a skill that others did not and provide your company with a valuable service that makes money for your employer, the fact is that you have a job and someone else doesn’t ergo you can afford to buy things they cannot and that isn’t fair so their should be a program and a law….

We have already proven that free men living under a system of choice A create wealth and we all rise together. The current administration is pushing us toward choice B and it scares the hell out of me and a whole bunch of other Americans. No the president has a Pay Czar who is going to regulate the maximum pay of executives on companies who have received bailouts. The minimum wage started this way. at first it was there to set a minimum wage of workers who worked in a field that dealt with interstate commerce, in the agricultural field if I remember my history correctly. Pretty soon it was “well you are in a company that deals with a company that is regulated by interstate commerce clauses so you should be regulated too.” Next it was “well you deal with a company that deals with a company that deals with interstate commerce so we’re gonna regulate your minimum wage also” and not everyone is under the minimum wage laws.

This same system will be applied to the highest amount of money someone is allowed to make and eventually it will go across the board to all fields also. To what end? Well a lot of people are really angry that top execs make so much money, especially compared to those on the bottom of the ladder. There are several reasons for this pay disparity but at the end of the day on the field of battle in the class warfare arena people ask “why does that guy get to make 50 million dollars? he doesn’t NEED 50 million dollars, especially when his lowest paid workers barely make enough to live on” and the battle rages on. The end result being that executive pay will be limited to make it “more fair”.

What is never touched on is the fact that the guy at the top has an MBA and a successful history of making companies run successfully and turn profits for their shareholders (the actual, you know, OWNERS to whom this guy is answerable to) while those people making “barely enough to eat on” are true mouth breathing morons who can tell you the latest American Idol BS but would be hard pressed to tell you who their Senators are (or most likely even that they have two of them) and therein lies the problem.

We live in a nation of idiots.

Open borders,
Muslim extremism,
a failing education system that simply indoctrinates,
no respect for the rule of law by our current administration (there are serious questions being raised about the 4th amendment given the administrations action regarding Chrysler),
idiotic choices for SCOTUS,
a cabinet full of tax cheats,
a compliant (and probably almost criminal) media,
an upcoming assault on privacy thru the theft of the health care industry,
an up coming assault on free speech led by the highest levels of government using the FCC and the “fairness doctrine”,
the census being run from the White House,
ever more regulations,
serious allegation of voter fraud,
a real question about our presidents eligibility to even BE president,
a cap and trade scheme that is a blatant tax increase of probably around 60-150% (depending on whose numbers you use) and I am sure I missed some of the main issues here.

Add in what I call the “fluff problems” (gay marriage and abortion-which I admit or serious but useless dividers at this point) and anyone can see we have a huge amount to tackle and the problem is we don’t have a “deep bench”…in fact we barely have a bench at all…..

Government is failing to solve the problems that free men left to their own devices in a free market economy can ably and quickly solve and yet people keep saying “the government should do something.”

NO!!!!

The government should DO NOTHING… the people should do something. It is OUR job to take care of ourselves, not the governments.

That’s the problem.

So get off of your ass. Do the research, learn the issues, write letters to the editors and call, fax, email and write your reps, from your local guy to the White House. Tell them what you think. Find and back, financially and with your time, candidates who reflect your values. Go to a tea party, attend city council meetings and get involved.

If we do NOT take back some control in Congress and the state houses in 2010 we will be so far entrenched in a Marxist, fascist state by 2012 that there will be no easy way to get our freedom back.

And if that happens there is only one thing left for you to do.

Keep your powder dry.
