Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and Frank – 3 Socialists On A Mission
America used to be the country of rugged individualism. Sadly, with the current crop of liberals in charge, we are quickly becoming a nation of apathetic collectivism. The American life style has become so busy with activities and work that we ignore the goings on in Washington. Most of America gets its political information from a media which has lost its objectivity in favor of radical partisanship. When we have members of the so-called legitimate media speaking about a Presidential candidate and having thrills up their legs, how far have we come?
The official state news agency of the former Soviet Union tells us. The headline on Pravda’s website reads, “America Moving from Kingdom of Cash to Socialism Slowly but Surely“. In the article Pravda gives a fairly accurate rundown of how the journey from a feudal society to capitalism is now inching its way toward socialism. And under the Obama Infestation, that journey has quickened.
The article, I must add, has a picture of what appears to be an altered US flag with the hammer and sickle in place of our field of stars. Isn’t that quaint?
Proof of the liberal love affair for the anti-Democratic socialist pathway is evident in a video on Real Clear Politics in which Rep. Barney Frank declares that Democrats are “trying on every front to increase the role of government.” As government increases its role in the lives of every day Americans as-well-as the private sector, how long will it be before we have Orwell’s Big Brother peering into our homes? Barney and his buds seem to want just that.
Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took time from his afternoon coma to announce his latest excursion into the land of make believe. His announcement was so full of factual inaccuracies that it bordered on pure fiction. First off, the majority of polls are not showing that the American people are in favor of a public option as part of the Democrats’ dismantling of the US health care system. As a matter of fact, 54% of Americans do NOT want any kind of government run program. 49% are even saying doing nothing is better than what is being proposed by Democrats. Reid fantasy number 1.
Reid’s next deviation from the truth lies in his proposal to allow states to “opt out” of the above mentioned “public option”. Well fine Harry. Does that mean that states which choose not to participate in the federal government’s take over of the US health care system will be exempt from the massive taxes that you and yours are proposing to pay for it? Somehow I don’t think so.
Next, we have Senator Reid and his accomplice in crime Nancy Pelosi both of whom live in some alternate reality if they think they have enough votes to squeak this past both houses of Congress. There are no Republicans willing to vote for any of this bovine excrement in either house and they are having a difficult time mustering enough votes to pass with 51% much less enough Senate votes to end debate (cloture to any of you out there who actually pays attention to politics).
Joe Lieberman, you remember him don’t you – the guy the Dems kicked to the curb for supporting the Republican nominee. Well Joe isn’t about to make any new friends on the left side of the aisle in the Senate. He has announced that he is willing to support a Republican filibuster of the Senate bill. And somehow, I don’t think that he would be alone in that.
The Emperor, Reid, and Pelosi haven’t thought this thing completely through. Well why should they? They never think anything through. That’s the liberal way after-all. There are 240 Democrat House seats and 18 Senate Seats up for re-election next November. Many of those Senate seats and nearly 50 of the House seats are in districts where Republicans dominate the political structure. Many of these seats will be lost next November including Reid’s (ironic isn’t it). Many more will be lost if the current incumbents holding those seats bend to the Democrat leadership and vote for this pig and they know it. So asking them to support something that their constituents don’t want is a bit too much to ask.
Right now, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi do not have bipartisan support for their “Health Care Reform[1]”. But they do have bipartisan opposition to it.
The Russians know what is happening here. Barney Frank is telling us what is happening here. But the President doesn’t want you to call a spade a spade by labeling his plans socialism.
