House Passes Pelosi Thievery Bill
Like thieves in the night, the House of Representatives passed the Pelosi version of the Emperor’s Death Care bill by a vote of 220 – 215. What was seen as a next to impossible task has been accomplished no thanks to the Emperor himself who took time out of his busy schedule of jet setting on the taxpayers’ dime in order to be on the Hill today to do much needed arm twisting (some say even breaking) in support of the Pelosi Theft Bill of 2009. Who are the big winners? Pelosi for one. But she may be the only winner.
Those Blue Dogs who gave in to Imperial pressure may find it very difficult to be re-elected come November 2, 2010. No matter how much support MoveOn.org is willing to send their way for their coerced vote on Pelosi’s Theft Bill, The People have taken notice of who voted which way on this bill of multi-generational larceny.
I find it incredibly interesting that Pelosi and crew had to wait until the dead of night to call for the vote. I find it more interesting that they did it on a weekend when Conservative Commentators won’t be available to add their 1/50th of a dollar. Does Pelosi and the White House fear the comments of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Glenn Beck1 so much that they have to do their dirty deeds on weekends? Apparently. Because if they weren’t, they’d have scheduled a vote for Monday. After-all, this Congress is just as bad as the 109th for truncated work weeks.
Now that I’ve vented… How about a dose of reality for the libtarded DRONES who no doubt are reading this putting their computer monitors in danger of destruction. Are you ready?
Here it is…
This bill cannot pass the Senate. End of discussion.
This vote means absolutely nothing because as much discussion as been held about how much weight the Blue Dogs carry, the true legislative power is in the Senate. Democrat Senators up for re-election next year have more to lose. If a Congressman/woman loses his/her seat next year they can always run again in 2012. If a Senator loses, their chances of re-gaining that seat are close to nil.
So unless Pelosi and Reid want to commit political suicide for every member of each house up for re-election, they won’t attempt political trickery like Reconciliation. To do so now would only enrage the already irritated electorate. If they thought the summer recess was bad, wait until the winter recess.
