WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) issued the following statement today regarding Vice President Biden’s visit to the economically hard-hit Toledo during the same week in which congressional Democrats plan to bring a devastating national energy tax for a vote in the U.S. House that could destroy American manufacturing jobs:

“Vice President Biden’s trip to an area of Ohio that’s been devastated by job losses the same week that congressional Democrats plan to bring a national energy tax up for a vote proves that the Administration and Speaker Pelosi’s House are both sadly out of touch with the American people. The new energy tax is a massive job-killer that will hit Ohio during one of its worst times. With unemployment at a record-breaking 10.8 percent and the state hemorrhaging jobs, the Vice President should tell Ohioans how the Administration plans to stimulate the private sector to create jobs instead of making the federal government bigger and more intrusive.”

NOTE: Vice President Biden is traveling to Toledo for a meeting of the White House Task Force on Middle Class Families. The theme of the meeting is “Promoting American Manufacturing in the 21st Century.” An analysis by the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) shows that Democrats’ new national energy tax will cost 2.5 million jobs and force consumers, small businesses and other employers to pay higher energy costs. An analysis by U.S. House Agriculture Committee Republicans indicates that ratepayers in the 92 rural electric co-ops in Ohio will pay $37 million more for electricity during the first year of Democrats’ national energy tax; ratepayers in the four rural electric co-ops in Ohio’s 8th Congressional District will pay $2.3 million more in that first year.

John Boehner represents Ohio’s 8th District, which includes all of Darke, Miami and Preble counties, most of Butler and Mercer counties, and the northeastern corner of Montgomery County. He was first elected to Congress in 1990.

Obama Infestation ‘Guessing’, No Wonder Things Are Worse

Vice President “Big Mouth Joe” Biden made a statement on Sunday’s ‘Meet the Press’ that reflects the total incompetence of the current President and his Infestation.

“No one realized how bad the economy was. The projections, in fact, turned out to be worse. But we took the mainstream model as to what we thought — and everyone else thought — the unemployment rate would be.”

No Joe, the economy didn’t become seriously bad until you and your boss decided to spend our grandchildren’s children’s money. The out of control drunken spending spree that the Democrats are on are costing more jobs than would have been lost had they done what everyone on the right had suggested – NOTHING.

“Everyone guessed wrong at the time the estimate was made about what the state of the economy was at the moment this was passed.”

This is the telling quote because it describes how the Obama Infestation conducts its business. It guesses. Wouldn’t you rather have a President and a government that knows than one that guesses? I certainly would. But what can you expect from someone who is a living, breathing, walking, talking example of the accuracy of the Peter Principle?

“The bottom line is that jobs are being created that would not have been there before.”

That’s right folks, there are jobs being created. Temporary jobs. After-all, just exactly how long does it take to resurface 1/7th of a mile of Prarie Ave in Cincinnati? Certainly not long enough to replace a $40 an hour job that is permanently leaving Dayton for Columbia, SC using stimulus money. Or how about a job at GM Moraine? Or any one of a dozen Delphi plants that have closed? Or for that matter, the Neil Armstrong Museum – another tragedy of Democrat incompetence.

When it is all said and done, let’s count up how many jobs are being lost and how many permanent jobs are being created. Not temporary infrastructure projects that will put thousands of people back in the unemployment line once the project is completed, but permanent jobs at the end of the year and I would wager that there is a negative balance. I’ll bet the moon that I’m right.

And I won’t get into the whole using Porkulus money as political payoffs. We all know it’s happening and we shouldn’t be surprised that anyone with such close ties to the Chicago Machine would be corrupt.

Note: On July 20, 2009, America (and especially the small community of Wapakoneta Ohio) will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s landing on the moon on July 20, 1969. On July 21, 2009 the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Armstrong’s home town of Wapakoneta, Ohio will be closing its doors due to lack of state funding. Gov. Ted Strickland (~~Socialist~~ Democrat) cut funding for the museum from his budget. But yet, he had the ability to offer NCR $30 million in tax incentives to stay in Dayton. They are moving to Columbia SC anyway.

The Winds Are Dying Off – So Much for ‘Green’ Energy

Since the out-of-control hysteria over global warming began, we’ve had to put up with the moronic notion that ‘green energy’ is the solution to man’s arrogant quest to control the climate. As silly as the notion is, let’s take issue with one particular form of ‘green energy’ proposed to be the savior of the planet – wind.

The proposal is to use wind turbines to create electricity and eliminate the need for coal and oil powered plants. Problem – the winds are dying off.

The wind, a favorite power source of the green energy movement, seems to be dying down across the United States. And the cause, ironically, may be global warming — the very problem wind power seeks to address.

Those on the MDI* side of the debate have the delusional idea that man is responsible for global warming so we must be responsible for the slowing of the wind as well. Hence the idea that global warming is slowing the wind. Whether planetary warming is causing wind speed decreases or not the issue remains how can anyone actually be seriously considering placing all of our nation’s electrical needs in the hands of morons who cannot guarantee the wind will even blow?

You see, most of the idiots coming up with these non-solutions live in areas where the sun shines 300 out of 365 days so solar is something they advocate. These are the same places where the wind blows almost non-stop so combining their idea of solar energy with wind “should” solve our oil dependency problems. Well, no.

They are fighting solar and wind farms in California where most of the libtarded morons who advocate this idiocy live. If they don’t want it in their backyard, why expect me to put it in mine. Oh wait, the Star Tribune article addresses this too.

Wind measurements plotted out on U.S. maps by Pryor show wind speeds falling mostly along and east of the Mississippi River. Some areas that are banking on wind power, such as west Texas and parts of the Northern Plains, do not show winds slowing nearly as much. Yet, states such as Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Kansas, Virginia, Louisiana, Georgia, northern Maine and western Montana show some of the biggest drop in wind speeds.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that my view of the corn growing on the horizon would be cluttered by those silly wind turbines which more often than not would be idol like the minds of the idiots who think this crap up.

And before I go wandering off, I didn’t know that Kansas and Western Montana were along and east of the Mississippi river. Just an observation – back to the program.

We have several easy solutions for our oil dependency problems. The first is drilling our own oil. The second is a byproduct of that oil exploration called natural gas. The third is nuclear energy. And the fourth, whether Big Mouth Joe or Barry the Wonder Turd realize it or not, is clean coal. Yes clean coal.

But that’s right, these solutions would put Americans to work. Barry and Joe want Americans dependent upon them for their livelihood therefore they can’t be put to work that would be counter productive to their revolutionary socialist agenda.

People when are you going to realize that climatic changes are cyclical? When are you going to realize that the climate is no where near as warm as it was when the Vikings settled Greenland? When are you going to realize that the earth is likely to get much cooler before the catastrophic rises in ocean levels predicted by Al Gore’s Power Point Presentation ~~An Incomplete Deception~~?

You people have bought a bill of goods and it is one that no one is prepared to pay for. As our nation faces an economic crisis on a scale which we are currently dealing with it is preposterous to think that we can implement tax policies designed to drive up cost and eliminate more jobs. You can pretty much count on a full-blown depression if the President’s environmental tax on energy passes.

I would like to know how Barry the Wonder Turd expects those millions of poor people to pay their electric and gas bills if he implements that tax. Especially when no one will be working thanks to him. And they are supposed to be the Party of the working class and the poor?!?

Reid: Kowtow Or I’ll Eliminate You from the Legislative Process

Harry ‘the human sleeping pill” Reid is using political threats in an attempt to peel off RINO support for the massive socialist agenda of the Democrats – namely the Obama Budget, Universal Health Care, and Cap-And-Trade legislation. That’s the party of the working man for you, eliminate the minority in order to pass totalitarian legislation. But hell, you voted for it.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is holding the option of using a legislative maneuver to create not only a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health care system but also a controversial cap and trade energy program, a move that could torpedo bipartisanship.

The maneuver, known as “reconciliation,” protects legislation to which it’s attached from a Senate filibuster. Republicans, in their deep minority status, are in an uproar over the possibility that they will be all but eliminated from the legislative process. SOURCE

The 2006 and 2008 gains made by Congress are even more damaging than electing our new Dictator-in-Chief. By electing Democrats to such huge majorities in the House and Senate, the Republican Minority has virtually no ability to stop harmful legislation from passing. Hence the Porkulus, or as I have affectionately named it – The Democrat Lard Act of 2009.

Any legislation which the majority knows it cannot get any Republican defections to support, can be labeled “Reconciliation” and bypass the rules of cloture. For a party who brought the use of cloture rules during the years of Republican control to an art-form, it seems a bit hypocritical of the current majority to abandon the much touted “rights of the minority” battle-cry that they employed when they were the minority.

But Republicans are not alone in their opposition. A sizable number of Democrats have protested the move; first and foremost, Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., who excluded it from his committee’s budget passed Thursday.

So concerned about the possibility of it being used, Sens. Robert Byrd, D-W.V., and Mike Johnanns, R-Neb., sent a letter of strong protest to the majority leader.

As opponents of proposed cap and trade measures, Byrd, the Senate’s most senior member and lead watchdog of Senate rules and decorum, and Johanns told Reid, “Enactment of a cap-and-trade regime is likely to influence nearly every feature of the U.S. economy.

“Legislation so far-reaching should be fully vetted and given appropriate time for debate, something the budget reconciliation process does not allow. Using this procedure would circumvent normal Senate practice and would be inconsistent with the Obama dministration’s stated goals of bipartisanship, cooperation, and openness,” they wrote.

Conrad and Byrd are not the only Senate Democrats opposed to using reconciliation. Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., said he is prepared to vote against the final budget if it returns from House-Senate negotiations with the restriction.

Nelson is part of a group of 15 moderate Democrats concerned about levels of spending and growing deficits. They are set to meet Tuesday to discuss how to move forward on the budget.

Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., top Republican on the Budget Committee, said Wednesday that reconciliation is not always a bad thing. He supported it when President Bill Clinton wanted tax increases to pay down the debt. But Gregg draws the line at creating major changes in environment and health care laws.

“When you are taking the entire health system of the United States, restructuring it, changing it fundamentally, moving it to the left significantly, basically nationalizing it for all intents and purposes … without any opportunity for changes on the floor of the Senate, well, you might as well not have a Senate. You might as well just have a House of Representatives. It totally undermines the purposes of the two branches of government,” Gregg told FOX News. SOURCE

It will take a minimum of 10 Democrat Senators to reject legislation that Reid successfully labels “Reconciliation”. Should only 9 vote with Republicans to reject the legislation, Reid can call upon Big Mouth Joe to cast his vote in order to break the tie. Anyone besides me smell the foul odor of abuse coming from the Majority Leader’s office?

If permitted to abuse the rules governing “Reconciliation”, Reid’s majority is abandoning Democratic principles and permitting the death of the Republic. A dangerous proposition to say the least. When Sen. Robert C. Byrd sides with the GOP you KNOW there has got to be something rotten in Reid’s office. And its name is Harry Reid.

I can’t say anything to make this any clearer than his own words.

Gadhafi lamented over some comments that Obama made when visiting Israel in June.

About which Gadhafi said…

“But we were taken by surprise when our African Kenyan brother [Obama], who is an American national, made statements (about Jerusalem) that shocked all his supporters in the Arab world, in Africa, and in the Islamic world.

As you know, this is the farce of elections – a person lies and lies to people, just so that they will vote for him, and afterwards, when they say to him, ‘You promised this and that,’ he says: ‘No, this was just elections propaganda.’ This is the farce of democracy for you. He says: ‘This was propaganda, and you thought I was being serious. I was fooling you to get your votes.’

“Allah willing, it will turn out that this was merely elections propaganda. Obama said he would turn Jerusalem into the eternal capital of the Israelis. This indicates that our brother Obama is ignorant of international politics, and is not familiar with the Middle East conflic.”

The lesson we must take from this admission by Gadhafi is that the jury is still out on the genuineness of Obama’s Christian faith. Fact is that his religious preference when documented in Indonesia as a child was Islam a fact that Obama has steadfastly refused to directly explain.

Two other concerns pop out in the context of Gadhafi’s comments…

1) Is the Muslim world funding Obama’s quest for the White House?
2) Is Obama eligible to even run?

The answer to question 1) won’t be answered until the election process completely plays out. Unfortunately the Republican Nominee refuses to to engage Obama on these types of issues. However, the answer to question 2) may be locked in federal court. There is a case currently being heard as to whether or not Barack Hussein Obama is actually a citizen of the United States. His campaign has been ordered to produce his birth records, including any “file copies” that may show that he was actually born at a hospital in Kenya not Hawaii. This same case is also pursuing the case of his Indonesian citizenship. If the court sides with the plaintiff, a Democrat by the way, it could be proven that Obama is not even eligible to be a United States Senator and therefore guilty of election fraud. Hopefully this case will conclude before the November 4th election. Somehow I doubt that Obama’s supporters would be as enthusiastic about voting for Joe Biden as they are about voting for Barack Obama.

A third question is, where is the Main Stream Media’s coverage about Gadhafi’s comments? They are instead relentlessly hounding Joe the Plumber on behalf of their lord and savior Barack Hussein Obama.

Is Biden Out? The Thomas Eagleton Affair Part II

Internet rumors abound with stories of Big Mouth Joe’s impending departure from the Obama campaign soon after the Vice Presidential debate with Gov. Sarah Palin. Part of this I think is wishful thinking on the part of Hillary backers who are clinging to the hope that she’ll be named as Big Mouth Joe’s replacement. The other part is pure rumor.

The rumor is that after the debate Joe will render a public resignation citing health concerns. He had surgery in 1988 to repair 2 brain aneurysms. No one would question the motive for the change – at least in the Dems minds.

I would question the timing based on the recent public gaffes he’s made. The first being that Hillary would have been a better choice for Obama. Another suggested that FDR was President in 1929 when the stock market crashed when Roosevelt didn’t take office until 1933. He also suggest that FDR went on television to explain his plan to the country. First off Herbert Hoover was President in 1929 and television didn’t become commercially available until the 1940s and were not common place until the 1950s. So FDR couldn’t have gone on television in October of 1929 2 years before he was elected President and given an address to the people on a device that wasn’t yet available.

Mr. Biden’s grip on reality and history as the rest of the world has experienced it aside, ditching him as a running mate this late in the race would be suicide in Presidential politics. If it were to happen it would truly show that the Democrat Party doesn’t learn from its own history.

In 1972 George McGovern selected Sen. Thomas Eagleton to be his running mate at the last minute. Some say within an hour of the deadline. Not knowing that Eagleton had been hospitalized 3 times for Depression and was taking the anti-psychotic drug Thorazine. Another fact that didn’t come to the attention of anyone until later was that Eagleton had been treated with electroshock treatments in the 1960s. Eagleton was dropped from the ticket just 18 days after being named to it.

In the event you are wondering, McGovern lost the Presidential election by a huge margin. He only carried Kennedy stronghold Massachusetts (due to his replacing Eagleton with Kennedy in-law Sargent Shriver) and the District of Columbia giving him only 17 electoral votes. Richard Nixon garnered 520 electoral votes and even carried McGovern’s home state of South Dakota which had gone to the Democrat Nominee in each of the 3 previous Presidential races.

As for the Hillary angle…

Hillary does not want to be Obama’s sidekick. Slick Billy Bob Bubba said as much in the past couple of days. She wants to be the first woman elected President of the United States. The key word there is elected.

If she were to take the VP slot and they won, she could not challenge Obama for her Party’s Nomination in 2012. It would be a smart move for Obama, but a dumb one for Clinton. Unless of course Obama were to not complete his term. Anything involving the Clintons wouldn’t surprise me. So in another sense it would not be such a smart idea for Obama. After-all people who get in the way of the Clintons end up dead or ruined. Just ask Vince Foster – wait – you can’t. Because he’s dead along with nearly a hundred of other Clinton inconveniences.

Bottom line of the Hillary angle is that she’d be a fool to run with the O Dawg. She’s not the type that would play second fiddle to an upstart like Barry. It would mark the end of her political career to join his ticket win or lose. Just look at what happened to John Edwards.

Truth is that Biden will stick in my opinion. But in case he doesn’t, someone else will fill the spot not Hillary. She’s too smart and knows what it is going to take for her to get another bite at the apple. And being Barry’s #2 isn’t it.

Prediction – Biden costs Barry O the Presidency. Hillary wins the Nomination in 2012. Barry gets sent back to Illinois licking wounds caused by his associations with Wright, Ayers, and Rezko.

McCain/Palin Need to Close the Deal in 7 States

John McCain and Sarah Palin have at this time pretty much secured 189 of the required 270 electoral votes required to win the Presidency. That is only counting “Secure GOP” and “Likely GOP” states according to Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator.

Only 7 states and he clinches the election. Which? Florida(27), Indiana(11), and Ohio(20) are all leaning McCain now. But the fight isn’t over. Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Virginia are pure toss-ups. Should the McCain/Palin ticket make a move in Colorado)9), New Mexico(5), Nevada(5), and Virginia(13) that would represent an electoral victory. That’s 279 electoral votes.

Electoral strategy should be to concentrate heavily on the 4 toss-up states and keep up the pressure in the 3 leaners. Nevada might fall to Obama due to the heavy influence of Las Vegas labor unions, but that would still represent a 274 electoral vote victory for McCain.

Then there are some possible cross-overs from the “Dark Side”. The “Leans Dem” states of Iowa(7), Pennsylvania(21), and Wisconsin(10) are all in play. Cinderella upsets in these states falling to McCain would widen the electoral victory.

This cannot be accomplished at all if Ohio, Indiana, and Florida fall to Obama. These 3 critical states are the keys to winning the others. Of these 3, Ohio is the most critical. No Republican has ever won the Presidency without winning Ohio.

McCain Supporter Takes MSM to the Wood Shed

At a rally in the birthplace of Big Mouth Joe Biden, Scranton PA, a woman took the mic at a McCain event, turned away from the Presidential Nominee, and began to verbally chastise the news media for going after Bristol Palin and ignoring Barry O’s ties to radical domestic terrorist Bill Ayers and slum lord Tony Rezko. She said,

“We want the media to start doing their job and stop picking on little children because of their age and their pregnancies,” she exclaimed. “Shame on you! Shame on all of ya’s!”

*Note – I’ve been searching for the full quote and if I find it I will post it in this spot.

This happened on a day when the McCain campaign fired back at the New York Times and their bias. According to Steve Schmidt a political strategist for the McCain campaign…

“Let’s be clear and be honest with each other about something fundamental to this race, which is this: Whatever the New York Times once was, it is today not — by any standard — a journalistic organization. It is a pro-Obama advocacy organization that every day attacks the McCain campaign, attacks Senator McCain, attacks Governor [Sarah] Palin and excuses Senator Obama.”

“This is an organization that is completely, totally, 150 percent in the tank for the Democratic candidate. It is an organization that has made a decision to cast aside its journalistic integrity and tradition to advocate for the defeat of one candidate — in this case John McCain — and to advocate for the election of the other candidate — Barack Obama.”

Sounds like another “news” organization in the headlines of the blogosphere lately, MSNoBodyCares. They were called to the carpet for their bias recently by a Democrat and then all of a sudden their two Crowned Princes of Vitriol were given a backseat for election coverage.

The public has had enough of the media trying to tell them what to do. Americans do not like being told what to do. We have this strange sense of – what’s the word… – INDEPENDENCE that those in the news media should be worried about. At a time when major news organizations are cutting staff to the bare bones in order to survive it is time that these organizations take a hard look at what they are producing.

The news media of the United States has largely become the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party. The ultra leftist ideas spewing forth from the daily fish wrappers are leading to a decline in circulation and that in turn has led to thousands of former dead tree media journalists in the unemployment line. This is not an economic downturn. This is a result of poor journalism and the loss of objectivity and the public’s recognition of this lack of objectivity.

Biden Maligns Dead Man for Political Points

Big Mouth Joe Biden is certainly not the first politician to use personal tragedy to gain politically. Big Mouth Joe has been pulling on his constituents’ heart strings as he publicly discusses the death of his wife and daughter in 1972 by one of those evil drunk drivers.

The New York Times reported the 2007 crowd at the University of Iowa grew silent as Biden gave his version of what happened that day.

“Let me tell you a little story,” The newspaper quoted Biden as saying. “I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”

But the story he tells is a flat out lie. His wife and daughter were killed in a car accident in December of 1972 but according to police and public reports at the time, alcohol didn’t play a role in the accident. But you can’t shove the proverbial genie back into the bottle especially when the news media is glamorizing the fraud over reporting the truth.

According to Rachel Kipp:

“The rumor about alcohol being involved by either party, especially the truck driver, is incorrect,” said Jerome O. Herlihy, a Delaware Superior Court judge who was chief deputy attorney general and worked with crash investigators in 1972.

“If it were some part of a cause of the accident, there would have been a charge, simply because if you’re driving under the influence and kill someone in the process — whether it’s the wife of a U.S. senator or anybody else — there’s going to be a charge,” he said.

Herlihy said investigators discussed several possible causes for the crash, including that Biden’s first wife, Neilia, turned her head and didn’t see the oncoming truck as she exited the intersection of Limestone and Valley roads on Dec. 18, 1972.

No evidence that the truck’s driver “drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch” so Big Mouth Joe is manufacturing facts about his wife’s death to gain political sympathy from those that he wishes would vote for him. All at the expense of a now deceased man who had to live his life with knowing that he was involved in an accident – that is the key word here because he was never charged with a crime – that killed a woman and her daughter.

The driver, Curtis C. Dunn, died in 1999. His family has to listen to Big Mouth Joe run his uncontrollable mouth publicly maligning the memory of their late loved one because Biden has political aspirations that do not include them. He doesn’t give a flying fig about these people’s loss. He doesn’t care how much the man was loved by his family. He doesn’t care how much he hurts people as long as he gains enough public sympathy to achieve his political goals. This is the man who wants to be your Vice President.

More importantly, the Main Stream Media wants him to be your Vice President that’s why they are not touching this story with a 10 foot pole. The truth means nothing to them or Biden.
