The War is Over!!! Well – Maybe Not

His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Barry-O I made the official announcement earlier this evening that “combat operations in Iraq” are complete. One would get the idea from this announcement that he has belatedly made good on a campaign promise. However, upon further inspection, you see yet another level of deceit from the factually challenged president. Allow me to explain.

For the past month, the Obama compliant main stream media has been tripping over itself to indoctrinate the American people that the Emperor was finally making good on his Iraq War promise. Troops were shown to be leaving their bases in Iraq and shifted to bases in Kuwait. However, many combat troops actually remain in Iraq in spite of the media gushing and tonight’s announcement from the Charlatan-in-Chief. Rather than pulling ALL the combat troops out of Iraq, the Obama Infestation simply renamed them and redefined their mission.

What was formally known as a Combat Battalion is now being referred to as “Advice and Support Battalion”. Instead of it’s mission being to seek out hostile insurgent forces and improvised explosive devices, our troops will remain on their bases and wait for something to happen that the Iraqi Defense Forces cannot handle on their own – which is just about everything that could happen.

As the nation watches troops being withdrawn from the Middle East, few perhaps are aware that another wave of soldiers is being deployed.

On Tuesday, a group of about 150 soldiers from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, based in Fort Hood, Texas, had a two-hour layover at Bangor International Airport on their way to southern Iraq.

In reality, the troops being “withdrawn from the Middle East” are troops who were late being cycled back to the US. Additional troops are being filtered into Iraq and Kuwait to serve in these new “Advice and Support Battalions”. Nothing’s changed but the mission and the names of the units. Tankers, Cannoneers, and Infantrymen are still being deployed to Iraq or to staging areas outside of Iraq. The idea that the “War” is over is a twisting of the truth.

What is more offensive and hypocritical of Obamaramadingdong is the fact that he takes credit for the accomplishments that our troops have made. As a Senator he opposed the troop surge which is the reason why the insurgency has been suppressed to the point where Obama can feel comfortable with scamming the American people. Additionally, as a Senator, Barry voted against funding troops in the field.

To add insult to injury, the Emperor mentioned former President George W. Bush in passing during his announcement. Saying that he spoke with the former President about this announcement earlier in the day and although he and the former President had differing views on the War in the beginning, blah… blah… blah…

Obama is an opportunity seeking flim-flam man. If he were a box of cereal (aptly named BarryO’s) he’d be an exciting colorful box that promises great taste, zero calories, zero grams of sugar, zero cholesterol, but when you open the box, there’s nothing inside. But then again, what do you expect from the empty suit that brought us undefined ‘hope’ and ‘change’?

Speaking of which, I believe that I’ve finally figured out that whole ‘hope’ and ‘change’ thing.

Like it or not, he’s going to fundamentally ‘change’ American and we are all going to have to ‘hope’ that our freedoms aren’t all completely taken from us in the process.

Blind ‘hope’ in undefined ‘change’. How’s it working out for you America?

Unemployment nearly doubled.
Deficit nearly quadrupled.
National Debt approaching $14 Trillion with unfunded liabilities approaching $130 Trillion.
Record numbers of Americans on food assistance.
1-in-6 Americans on some form of federal assistance.

Somehow, I don’t think this is what the voters were expecting.

As for August 31, 2010 being the date to end combat operations, truth be told President George W. Bush negotiated this event. Even though August 31, 2010 date wasn’t mentioned specifically in the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), it has always been understood that events on the ground would determine the ultimate time-line of events. According to the agreement…

The U.S. has been involved in military operations in Iraq since March of 2003. The legal framework under which the U.S. has operated includes H.J.Res. 114 (P.L. 107-243), multiple U.N. Security Council Resolutions, as well as orders under the Coalition Provisional Authority. The U.N. Security Council extended the mandate for the multinational forces through December 31, 2008.

On November 26, 2007, U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Kamel Al-Maliki signed a Declaration of Principles for a Long-Term Relationship of Cooperation and Friendship Between the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America. Pursuant to this Declaration, the parties pledged to “begin as soon as possible, with the aim to achieve, before July 31, 2008, agreements between the two governments with respect to the political, cultural, economic, and security spheres.” Among other things, the Declaration proclaims the parties’ intention to enter an agreement that would commit the United States to provide security assurances to Iraq, arm and train Iraqi security forces, and confront Al Qaeda and other terrorist entities within Iraqi territory.

On November 17, 2008, after months of negotiations, U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and Iraq Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari signed two documents: (1) the Strategic Framework Agreement for a Relationship of Friendship and Cooperation between the United States and the Republic of Iraq, and (2) the Agreement Between the United States of America and Republic of Iraq On the Withdrawal of United States Forces from Iraq and the Organization of Their Activities during Their Temporary Presence in Iraq. The second agreement is commonly referred to as the SOFA between the United States and Iraq and is incorporated by reference into the larger strategic agreement.

Congress has several tools by which to exercise oversight regarding negotiation, form, conclusion, and implementation of agreements by the United States. The agreements with Iraq were negotiated and concluded as executive agreements and entered into force on January 1, 2009, and yet there remain many unanswered questions about the specific terms within the SOFA. This report begins by discussing the historical legal framework governing U.S. military operations in Iraq. The report then provides a general background as to the content of agreements traditionally considered Status of Forces Agreements (SOFAs). Finally, the report discusses specific aspects of the SOFA, highlighting issues that may require continued congressional oversight. [1] – emphasis mine

In reality, as long as US forces were withdrawn from the cities by June 30, 2009, and the mandated date for full withdrawal “no later than December 31, 2011[2]” hasn’t expired, anything short of full withdrawal is consistent with the US-Iraq Status of Forces Agreement which became binding 19 days prior to Obama assuming the Presidency.

To put it bluntly, Obama just rode in as the current Lib Infesting 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. to take credit for the withdrawal as if he had to actually do something to bring it about. It’s pretty easy to be seen as making the difficult decisions when they have already been made by more responsible and prudent individuals before you ever needed to take the matter under consideration isn’t it?

In conclusion, Iraq is still a potentially dangerous place and the United States is still under an obligation to provide security and training for Iraqi Defense Forces. There is a reason why U.S. troops haven’t left the region entirely, but rather withdrawn to another friendly host country in the region from which rapid deployment is possible.

As the Obama Infestation plays games with semantics in regards to our fighting men and women in Iraq, the Emperor has egg on his face in regards to Afghanistan. In the past 3 days 21 U.S. troops have lost their lives in Afghanistan. One has to wonder, if Obama would have given Gen. Stanley McCrystal the full number of troops he asked for, could these 21 deaths have been minimized or avoided?

Those behind the Ground Zero Mosque are being deceptive when they say that its purpose is to build understanding. The truth is they wish to project an aura of dominance over the Infidel Society that they refer to as “The Great Satan” – The United States.

The Ground Zero Mosque project, affectionately called “Cordoba House” by Jihadis in honor of the conquering of Cordoba Spain in the name of Allah. In 711 A.D., Cordoba Spain was conquered by an Islamic army and became the provincial capital of the Caliphate of Damascus. The Arabic name for Cordoba was قرطبة (Qurṭuba). In 716, Cordoba was elected to become the capital of an independent Emirate known as al-Andalus. Not long after, it became it’s own Caliphate.

I submit to you that any talk of “building understanding” is nice talk to worm their way into our society in order to lay a “framework” to conquer us from within. Jihadis no longer attack with armies. They stealthily infiltrate their opponents and conquer from within like cancer does to the human body. If we allow this mosque to be built in the name of our Constitution and in the name of religious freedom, they will use this mistaken tolerance against us and soon, there will be no religious freedom left. You will submit to Islam or you will die. That is the ONLY reason for calling this Jihadi Citadel “Cordoba House” and building it in the heart of our financial center. Allowing it to be built will complete the work of the 9/11 terrorists.

The planners are running into an obstacle they hadn’t counted on – workers.

According to a report in the New York Daily News…

A growing number of New York construction workers are vowing not to work on the mosque planned near Ground Zero.

The grass-roots movement is gaining momentum on the Internet. One construction worker created the “Hard Hat Pledge” on his blog and asked others to vow not to work on the project if it stays on Park Place.

It would be difficult to have a mosque that builders refuse to build.

However, the planners are getting aid from the Progressive State Controlled Media (to use a Rushism).

The Associated Press is encouraging news reporters, especially those who contribute to the AP, to refrain from using the term ‘Ground Zero Mosque’.

Here is some guidance on covering the NYC mosque story, with assists from Chad Roedemeier in the NYC bureau and Terry Hunt in Washington:

1. We should continue to avoid the phrase “ground zero mosque” or “mosque at ground zero” on all platforms. (We’ve very rarely used this wording, except in slugs, though we sometimes see other news sources using the term.) The site of the proposed Islamic center and mosque is not at ground zero, but two blocks away in a busy commercial area. We should continue to say it’s “near” ground zero, or two blocks away.

WE WILL CHANGE OUR SLUG ON THIS STORY LATER TODAY from “BC-Ground Zero Mosque” to “BC-NYC Mosque.”

In short headlines, some ways to refer to the project include:

_ mosque 2 blocks from WTC site
_ Muslim (or Islamic) center near WTC site
_ mosque near ground zero
_ mosque near WTC site

We can refer to the project as a mosque, or as a proposed Islamic center that includes a mosque.

It may be useful in some stories to note that Muslim prayer services have been held since 2009 in the building that the new project will replace. The proposal is to create a new, larger Islamic community center that would include a mosque, a swimming pool, gym, auditorium and other facilities.

2. Here is a succinct summary of President Obama’s position:

Obama has said he believes Muslims have the right to build an Islamic center in New York as a matter of religious freedom, though he’s also said he won’t take a position on whether they should actually build it.

You know, I think I’ve read about a society which changes their modes of speech and their memories of history based solely on political necessity. What was that… ? I can’t remember what… Oh yeah! It was George Orwell’s ’1984′!

To all of you who said that I’m barking up the wrong tree or I’m some sort of tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist for comparing Obama to Orwell’s antagonist Big Brother perhaps you need to wake up and hear the suicide bombers. They are telling us in plain terms what they are doing! You need to pay attention!

Obama wants to advance the Progressive agenda and the Progressive agenda is total control. However, what they do not realize is that by allowing Jihadis to build mosques of this type on US soil will short-circuit that agenda. For my part, I reject both as an option. They are both entirely anti-American and they are perverting our Constitution in order to wage war against it.

Those entering our armed forces take an oath as does the President of the United States and all other members of our government. And although they each have wording that differs slightly from the others, the basic concept and basic pledge is exactly the same…

I [state your name], do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign or domestic, and that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same…

Nothing that this Infestation is doing is supporting, defending or bearing true faith and allegiance to the US Constitution. In fact, it is attempting to tear it up with every new bill signed into law and every new regulation put into place through executive order or bureaucratic edict. The Obama Infestation and, dare I say the entire Democrat Leadership apparatus, is focused on a “fundamental transformation of the United States”. We should all fear what that “transformation” entails because I fear it won’t be anything resembling freedom.

It’s no wonder 18-24% of the American people believe Obama is a Muslim. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck…

Obama’s MSM Shill, Questioning His Muslim Heritage, and Journalistic Malpractice

Amid the fresh controversy created by the recent release of the results of two polls showing an increasing number of Americans believe Barack Hussein Obama is Muslim, a headline on The Drudge Report caught my eye. It involves some items printed in that bastion of legitimate news, The New York Times (all the news that is fit to wrap fish in; or line bird cages for that matter).

On May 12, 2008, the NYT asked the question – President Apostate? The Times actually had the audacity to ask the questions that needed to be asked, however, they failed to deliver an answer.

From the NYT:

One danger of such charisma, however, is that it can evoke unrealistic hopes of what a candidate could actually accomplish in office regardless of his own personal abilities. Case in point is the oft-made claim that an Obama presidency would be welcomed by the Muslim world.

This idea often goes hand in hand with the altogether more plausible argument that Mr. Obama’s election would raise America’s esteem in Africa — indeed, he already arouses much enthusiasm in his father’s native Kenya and to a degree elsewhere on the continent.

But it is a mistake to conflate his African identity with his Muslim heritage. Senator Obama is half African by birth and Africans can understandably identify with him. In Islam, however, there is no such thing as a half-Muslim. Like all monotheistic religions, Islam is an exclusive faith.

As the son of the Muslim father, Senator Obama was born a Muslim under Muslim law as it is universally understood. It makes no difference that, as Senator Obama has written, his father said he renounced his religion. Likewise, under Muslim law based on the Koran his mother’s Christian background is irrelevant. – emphasis mine

The Times never went beyond this statement of reality. Instead they chose to point to his “chosen Christian faith”.

Since asking the question back in May 2008, the NYT and other “legitimate” news sources have conveniently avoided revisiting the question of Obama’s faith. However, in the dust-up created by the proposed Ground Zero Mosque (the so-called Cordoba House), questions of Obama’s faith has once again entered the American discussion.

A Pew Research poll revealed that 1-in-5 Americans believe Barack Hussein Obama to be a submissive of Muhammad’s delusional visions and rantings. A Time poll on the same subject revealed that 1-in-4 believe Obama is a Muslim. Given that Obama has hosted a Ramadan celebration at the White House, snubbed the Boy Scouts of America by not attending their prayer breakfast, and making statements supporting the planned Cordoba House, the American people are beginning to look more closely at the man with the middle name Hussein. But where is the press?

While we again wait for the main stream media to catch-up to the American people and ask the tough questions they should have asked prior to November 4, 2008, perhaps we should move on as if they will choose to continue to ignore their responsibilities in favor of being Mr. Obama’s dissemination of propaganda conduit. Although I think that is beginning to wear on the media as well. After-all, who can glean any information out of Robert Gibbs? The man stutters more than Mel Tillis.

As for the Emperor… What I can’t understand is the love affair that American academics have with the moron. I mean, who takes a teleprompter on vacation? Obama, that’s who. For someone who was to be a great departure from the poor rhetorical skills of George W. Bush he seems to be extremely dependent upon prepared remarks. Bush was best when he diverted from the prepared statements. Obama on the other hand can’t function without his teleprompter. Off-the-cuff Obama is a stammering idiot. No wonder he keeps Gibbs. Birds of a feather etc…

And what is with that smug Leninist posing? It’s like he has a need to show that he is superior to everyone else staring off into the distance in an attempt to show he’s a visionary. It’s called arrogance – a disease of the elite.

The American press has failed the American people. To get honest reporting about the Obama Infestation one has to read news sources in the UK. This fact alone should be proof positive of the journalistic malpractice being committed by the American dead trees and alphabets. Save FoxNews, America’s journalistic community is devoid of any integrity as they actively shill for the Progressive Utopian Emperor. And they aren’t even attempting to hide it anymore.

The White House addressed the latest questioning of Obama’s faith by having a Communications underling tell the White House Press Pool that Obama is Christian and he prays everyday. The fact that he prays everyday isn’t the concern of the people. What the people want to know is if he finds the need to orient his body towards Mecca when he does. “He prays everyday” what kind of fools do they think the people are? Muslims pray everyday as well – 5 times!

I don’t give a rat’s ass if he’s a Muslim unless he wants to be President. If he’s the President of the United States, in a time of war, against an enemy that is waging a war in the name of their religion, and that religion is the same one that the President is accused of being a member of, there are questions that need to be answered.

In 1960, many Protestant Americans worried that John F. Kennedy’s Catholic faith would be an impediment to his ability to govern. After-all, who would he be loyal to, the US Constitution which translates into the American people or the Pope. The same should be asked of Obama. Who is he loyal to? The Constitution – which he has a track record of downplaying as a contract of negative liberties – or is he a submissive to Islam? I fear the truth may be that he is a submissive follower of Islam. Especially when he refers to Muhammad’s horror novel as “the holy Qu’ran” and greets Muslims in perfect Arabic.

In 1960, the American press asked the questions and answers were given. John Kennedy WAS elected President and by all accounts his faith never played a direct roll in his governance. However in 2010, nearly 2 years into the Obama Infestation and the American people are still asking the same questions of Barack Hussein Obama. And like all the other questioning of Obama’s past, it gets avoided. Why is it so important for him to shield the American people from his past? Perhaps it is because he’s on a mission that he’s already explained to the American people at $20 a copy. His book “Dreams from My Father” outlines what his father dreamed of for Kenya. Perhaps Junior is following in his absent daddy’s footsteps and wishes to carry on his pappy’s dream in the United States. It’s called Communism.

At a time when the socialist societies of the world are beginning to downsize their governments, Barry O is expanding ours. Why? It fulfills the strategy of instituting socialism outlined by Columbia Professors Richard Cloward and Francis Fox Piven. The Cloward-Piven Strategy to Implement Socialist Revolution was written in 1966 at the height of civil unrest in the United States. Progressives and Socialists believed they could force revolution. The strategy was then and is now to overwhelm the system and cause it to collapse. It’s on its way thanks to Obama’s Keynesian economic policies.

But where is the press?

Dems Poised to Feel Wrath of Voters in ’10 Just As GOP Did in ’06 & ’08

Democrats haven’t learned anything from the failures of the GOP in 2006 and 2008. They have consistently gotten it wrong over the last two election cycles. Democrats falsely believed that the rejection of GOP candidates in the past two election cycles were a rejection of policy. They ran on the mantra of the “Culture of Corruption” and won an unstoppable majority.

Was there corruption in the GOP? Yes there was. Many were beginning to get corrupted by the power that Washington D.C. infects. Many were using their offices to gain personally and others were using legislation to insure re-election. The Pork being enjoyed by many Republican members of Congress in the latter years of the Bush Administration led to the downfall of the GOP.

In 2006 Conservative voters had no one to vote for so they stayed home. In the 2008 Presidential race, the choice was between a Progressive Democrat and a Progressive Republican – Socialist or Socialist Lite. Identity politics played a larger roll than ever before in American politics. The euphoria created by the possibility of electing a minority candidate to the Presidency won over voters and rationale lost.

The GOP’s candidate was selected by the progressive main stream media because they all knew that if given the choice between a Democrat and a Liberal Republican, Conservative voters would bail on the Republican as they did in 2006.

Voter intimidation and fraud did play a roll in the 2008 races as well. But yet, the Obama Infestation doesn’t have any interest in making sure those crimes are never again repeated. After-all, they benefited from those crimes.

Since taking office, Obama and Nancy Pelosi have led their party to the far left. The sheer growth of the federal government and the near Imperial powers now granted to the President by this Congress must have the founding fathers rolling in their graves. The result of all this growth in government is record high deficits which are 4 times the size of those that led to the downfall of the GOP in 2006.

The $427 Billion deficit racked up by the Bush Administration in 2005 pales in comparison to $1.42 Trillion 2009 short-fall and seem like nothing in comparison to the projected 2010 deficit of $1.75 Trillion. To put the Bush deficits into context, during his 8 years in office, Bush added $4.9 Trillion to the national debt. If you just take the past two years in to account, Obama has already added $3.17 Trillion. If left unchecked with a hypothetical returning Democrat majority for the next 2 years, Obama’s contribution to the national debt over 4 years in office would be an estimated $6.34 Trillion and likely more.

Debt and corruption were the GOP’s undoing in 2006 and 2008. Now, the Democrats are facing 4 times the debt and double the corruption. The current Treasury Secretary is a known tax cheat. The former Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee is as well as evidenced by his 13 ethics violations and pending criminal indictment (because we all know there is an indictment in the works). Another Democrat member of Congress faces an ethics battle. Pelosi has failed to “drain the swamp” and seems to have encouraged her members to seek out ways to exploit the earmark process.

Nancy Pelosi’s most ethical and most transparent Congress in history is about to fall flat under the weight of its ethics violations and shady back-room deals. Remember what she said about the Death Care bill?

“We have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it.”

How about that transparency Nancy?

I won’t hold my breath waiting for her to answer.

Now Pelosi has another shell game in the works. As the school year is about to begin and the financially strapped states have less money to dole out for education, SanFran Nan and her band of miscreants are calling the House back into session in the middle of the August recess in order to pass “emergency” legislation totaling an additional $26 Billion in spending for teachers. Ask the question “why?” since nearly half of the American Robbery and Redistribution Act money is still unspent. After-all, wasn’t that supposed to fund police, firemen, and – umm, who else… that’s right – TEACHERS so they wouldn’t lose their jobs?

People this is nothing more than as cheap game of 3-card Monty. Chase the red queen but there is no queen on the table. It’s a ploy for votes and nothing more. The funds are already allocated to save teachers’ jobs if the Infestation wished to use it; but they don’t. They’d rather Pelosi do a little grand standing in order to buy some more votes and in the process increase the debt a little bit more in order to justify more tax increases in the future. You see if they use already appropriated funding to “save teaching jobs” it doesn’t make headlines. No headlines, no votes.

Before you go to vote on November 2nd remember a couple of very important items.

Obama promised that if the “stimulus” (aka the American Robbery and Redistribution Act) were passed unemployment wouldn’t go any higher than 8%. How’s that 9.5% unemployment feeling America? Or how about the estimated 17% – 24% underemployment for that matter?
Pelosi promised to drain the swamp and yet one Congressman has been sent to prison for taking bribes, and two more are under Ethics Committee investigations and expected to be expelled.
Democrats rode a wave of discontent over Republican deficits in 2006 and 2008 but the current budget deficit is 4 times higher.

And finally I want you to ask yourself a question…

Is your family better off today than you were in 2006?

OH.. before I go. I have a little misconception to clear up.

That surplus that all you Clintonian drones like to point to that Bush destroyed with his deficit spending… That was the brain child of a Republican. Rep. John Kasich of Ohio wrote the budget that created that surplus. Kasich is currently running for Governor of Ohio. And much to the dismay of Obama and Uncle Ted (Strickland), he’s leading in that race. And for the record… Uncle Ted rode that anti-GOP wave in 2006. Remember the quote at the top Uncle Ted.

Today Mrs. Gribbit got a bit hot under the collar because of what some moron wrote in the Dayton Daily News about Grand Lake St Marys, the largest inland lake in Ohio. In order that the story is put into proper context, let me explain why Grand Lake St Marys is in the news to begin with.

There are two types of foreign algae growing in the lake that are producing neuro-toxic gasses. The state of Ohio has issued warnings not to come into contact with water in the lake. The exact source of the algae is unknown but agricultural run-off is highly suspected.

The author of an editorial in the Dayton Daily News puts the blame of not monitoring local farmers squarely on “local officials” in Grand Lake St Marys “community”. This infers that the “local officials” are a single body of elected persons who are charged with protection of the natural resources around the lake. Problem, because Grand Lake St Marys is located in two counties, there is no single body of “local officials” charged with said responsibilities. Each county has a different set of government officials.

As-far-as the local geography, on the Auglaize County side of the lake, I can think of no farms coming into direct contact with the lake. Between the city of St Marys and Grand Lake, there is a state park. South of the State Park on the eastern shore of the lake is a retirement community and a housing development which includes channels and boat slips accessing the lake. It isn’t until you cross the county line into Mercer County on the south side of the lake that you encounter any farm land. On the north side of the lake is a highway connecting St Marys with Mercer County’s largest city Celina, Ohio.

It is true that there are many farms in both Auglaize and Mercer Counties which raise livestock however, most of the farm land in both counties is used to raise grains. Corn, wheat, and soybeans are the cash crops of the area not as the article suggests cattle, hogs, and chickens.

As one who has been transplanted to the area from Ashtabula, OH via Dayton, I can say for certain that Auglaize and Mercer Counties do not raise as much livestock as other communities in this state. There are fewer dairies, cattle farms, hog farms, and chicken farms around here then there are in the eastern part of the state. That said however, I’ve not heard of Pymatuning Lake, Mosquito Lake, or Lake Erie being polluted by run-off from dairy and cattle farms. So that in itself renders the editorial writer’s point moot.

Several years ago, during the height of the spike in gasoline prices, many people began buying flex-fuel vehicles which utilize a fuel called E-85 as a way to keep their fuel consumption low. Ethanol was touted as a clean renewable alternative to gasoline and oil because it was refined corn. The process for distilling corn into alcohol (ethanol) produces a bi-product which can be expensive to dispose of or further refine into a substance as clean as drinking water.

In Lima, OH, there was an ethanol plant which did not have the facilities to further refine the corn-based bi-product into a clean material. Instead, they opted to give it to local farmers to spray on their fields to replace nutrients and many local farmers took advantage of this. Many of the local people suspect that it is this substance which has leeched into Grand Lake St Marys and I tend to agree with them. My reasoning? I find it difficult to believe that a new algae can develop from run-off that has been in the area for decades. Those farms aren’t new and neither are the crops or livestock they raise; but the algae is.

The only component recently added to the equation is that ethanol bi-product and yet, there is no mention of this in the Dayton Daily News editorial. Why? I suspect the political agenda of the green movement is preventing the idea of “a clean, renewable, alternative to gasoline” actually being a pollutant from being discussed. The greenies were so anxious to motivate the American economy away from oil that it seized an opportunity to push E-85 as a solution without knowing exactly what can of worms they were about to open. In typical liberal fashion, they pushed an idea as a solution without fully understanding what the long-range impact of their decisions would be. We see this with every liberal program, short-sightedness and myopia. Now, an entire community is made to suffer because of decisions at the federal level.

It is true that the farmers of the area had a choice to not accept the bi-product they sprayed on their fields but who among you would not jump at the chance to replace an expensive fertilizer with what is being marketed to you as a free, environmentally friendly, alternative to phosphates, ammonia-nitrate, and other harmful chemicals? Not one.

Lets face it campers, farmers do not have time to research the safety of a product. They take information provided to them and make their decisions. If someone is telling them that they are doing a good thing for the environment using this product which is derived from corn instead of chemical fertilizer, what farmer wouldn’t make that decision? Again, not one.

Now there are TWO foreign algae growing in the water of Grand Lake St Marys that are producing toxic gasses. The state says, “do not come in contact with the water”. There is a state park on the shores of this same lake and yet, the author of the Dayton Daily News editorial gripes about state and federal funding being used to clean up the lake. He would rather it remain a toilet than to clean it up. The state of Ohio has the responsibility for that lake not as he implies “local officials” which are difficult to identify.

In the event you are not aware of the origins of Grand Lake St Marys, it was build by man to feed into the Miami and Erie Canal. The federal government paid for the lake to be dug in the first place so that goods could be transported from Lake Erie to the Mississippi via the Great Miami and Ohio rivers. Grand Lake St Marys was hand dug in order to supply water to the canal that made connecting Lake Erie with the river systems possible.

Before I go, let me just remind the author of the Daily News editorial that if not for Grand Lake St Marys, Dayton itself would never have grown to the size that its become. No Grand Lake, no canal. No canal, no trade on the Great Miami River. Food for thought.

As a Conservative, I agree that federal spending is out of control and needs to be curtailed. But why not start with Obama’s failed Porkulus, his invasive health care takeover, or other federal programs that are nothing more than political payoffs to labor unions; and take care of our waterways with the money saved? You know, spend money on the things we’re supposed to spend money on instead of paying off the special interests? Sounds logical to me.

I have taken some heat both on here and in my private communications from others who do not appreciate my references to Barrack Hussein Obama as “The Emperor”. Personally, it started out as a humorous mocking of our 44th President; however, as more and more of his agenda is brought to light, it is obvious that Imperial power is what he craves. What’s worse is the fact that many on the uber-left approve of this systematic deletion of American freedoms as they encourage BHO to “act like a dictator”.

The words of Ed Schultz shouldn’t come to any surprise to anyone who has kept an eye on the Obama Infestation since before they took power. His most trusted “advisor”, Valerie Jarrett laid it all out to Tom Brokaw before he assumed power on January 20, 2009 by saying that Obama was getting prepared to “rule on day 1.”.

Obama, like all other Progressives (see also neo-socialists) who have assumed the power of the American Presidency, is looking to expand executive power beyond what the founders intended. What gets me is when Conservatives are in power, the left always looks to curtail executive power. For instance, the Bush years.

Now that their man Hussein is in power, the executive power grab is on a feeding frenzy. What makes it worse is that Congress in voluntarily surrendering power to the Chief Executive. The Porkulus (see also the American Robbery and Redistribution Act of 2009), the Omnibus, Cash for Clunkers, GM Bailout, Chrysler Bailout, Death Care, and Cap and Tax were all forwarded by a very compliant Congress[1].

Question: Why would Congress be so willing to surrender so much power?

Answer: Because the neo-socialists controlling both Houses of Congress (see also Democrats) were banking on completion of the agenda before losing Congress to Republicans.

If they gave their man enough power to stave off a Republican Congress before they lost control, there would be little the Republicans can do to reverse what has been done. This is the only explanation for the cautious care taken to insure that all these key votes happened after the business day or on weekends. It was a planned effort to subvert the input of the American people. They understood going in that if the American people get engaged, we can defeat anything on their agenda. Their answer was to drop bills into the hopper at 2am and vote on them before you had a chance to know what was in the changes.

But now we have a subcommittee of the United States Senate looking to grant Obama emergency powers to shut down the internet under the auspices of protecting the nation’s computer systems in the event of a cyber attack. We’ve seen what happens when one of his generals criticizes him, what would happen to people critical of the President and our ability to voice our distrust of him once this crap becomes law?

People when are you going to wise up and understand that Progressivism isn’t anything close to what they want you to believe it is? Their name says it all. Progressive. What do they want to progress towards? The answer is Socialism. George Orwell wrote in ’1984′ that the true goal of socialism is to advance toward a dictatorship. Ironically, Orwell was a Socialist. As I close this installment, let me remind you what the 45 goals of the Communist Party in the United States are as they were written into the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963. They have not changed. What’s worse, they’ve been advanced. Ask yourself, by whom?

ObamaCare Promises Proven To Be Lies -

Anyone besides ME see this coming?

The answer to my question is of course people saw this coming. That is why over 70% of the people wanted ObamaCare to fail. It was the obvious lie that the Emperor was telling that created the TEA Parties.

“If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.” – President Barrack Hussein Obama – aka The Emperor.

This was a lie perpetuated by the left-wing Main Stream Media and his Ministry of Information and Mandatory Opinion (aka MSNoBodyCares). They continually were shouting into the rain that you can keep your health insurance and you can keep your doctor. Well guess what – it’s not so.

According to a report that appears in the Investors Business Daily -

Internal administration documents reveal that up to 51% of employers may have to relinquish their current health care coverage because of ObamaCare.

Small firms will be even likelier to lose existing plans.

The “midrange estimate is that 66% of small employer plans and 45% of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfathered status by the end of 2013,” according to the document.

In the worst-case scenario, 69% of employers — 80% of smaller firms — would lose that status, exposing them to far more provisions under the new health law.

The 83-page document, a joint project of the departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and the IRS, examines the effects that ObamaCare’s regulations would have on existing, or “grandfathered,” employer-based health care plans. [1]

So, would you like to try to sell that lie again Barry?

I got called out a few weeks ago for linking something in Facebook about Obamaramadingdong. My FB friend questioned the legitimacy of calling him “The Emperor”. I’m sorry, but governing by fiat and slipping through legislation in the middle of the night isn’t what I call democratic.

The truth is Democrats are anything but. They are neo-socialists who are clinging to their 1960′s dream of a Social Utopia where everything is free and war does not exist. They are dangerous and need to be defeated. Our only chance at avoiding the impending destruction that is being ushered in by these idiots is for the American people to ban together and defeat them in November.

Over the past week or so, a steady stream of news accounts documenting the Infestation’s complete ignorance to the Arizona Immigration Law speaks volumes about what this President and his people think of the rest of America. Their seemingly uniform opposition and condemnation of a law that none of them have even bothered to read is the epitome of arrogance.

A pattern is emerging about this President and his people that is rather unflattering to say the least. From the time when he unilaterally condemned the Cambridge Police for acting “stupidly” in the Henry Louis Gates dust-up, Mr. Obama set the narrative for his reign as Commander-in-Chief. “Take your ques from the Huffington Post, the Daily KOS, Keith Olbermann, and Chris Matthews, never mind the truth just get a statement out. We’ll worry about altering the public perception of what is true later.” [note: links omitted intentionally]

Yes, I accuse this Infestation of attempting to alter the perception of truth. Like the fictional “Oceania” in George Orwell’s ‘Nineteen-Eighty-Four’, this President and his Infestation thinks it can alter your perception of the facts by changing the language and skewing the narrative; and they have become frustrated when they meet opposition to their shell game.

Last Thursday we learned that Attorney General Eric Holder never read the Arizona Immigration Law prior to his statements condemning it. In the past few days, we have learned that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano hasn’t read it either even though she says that she wouldn’t have signed it. We also find out that at least one key member of the State Department also hasn’t read the law [see video]. This revelation comes after the Emperor apologized to China for our “human rights violations” due to its passage.

The following is a video of Assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley admitting that he hasn’t read the Arizona law but the law will lead to racial profiling. How can he say that if he hasn’t read it? H/T: Breitbart.tv

This President and his Infestation aren’t concerned with the truth, they’ll tell you what the truth is. At least that is their attitude. Your resistance, however, confuses them. “How dare you not believe them! How dare you believe the opposition to Obama’s Progressive “fundamental” destruction of America!”

The T.E.A. Party is growing and, dare I say, includes people who actually voted for Obama. People are realizing that the intoxicating affects of Obamania have worn off and it has left the mother of all hangovers behind. Unemployment numbers are unacceptably high. The deficit has quadrupled in a single year. The National Debt is unsustainable. But never mind all that! Our prodigal President’s answer to everything is to not only continue to spend more money and raise taxes, but to create new taxes as well.

Obama, his Infestation, and their surrogates in this real life “Ministry of Truth” (aka: the main stream media) are forced to oppose anything that becomes an impediment to the legalization of millions of new Democrat voters. That’s right. Their opposition to the Arizona law is all about votes in 2012 nothing more. That is why they don’t need to bother to read the Arizona Law. They will just oppose it on its face because it is a problem for Obama in 2012.

This is News? Health Overhaul Will Increase Nation’s Tab

I have for a very long time avoided using as a primary source any news agency other than FoxNews.com. My reason is obvious, they don’t skew the news with commentary and they don’t attempt to hide commentary as news. This is in direct contrast to what the liberal media and the moron who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. would have you believe.

With the exception of references to articles obtained through the use of news aggrigators like The Drudge Report, almost all of the real news referenced here comes from Fox. That said however, there are times when even Fox will print something that makes you think, “What the hell were they thinking”. Case in-point, today’s headline reading, “Report: Health Overhaul Will Increase Nation’s Tab“.

Granted, this is an AP article so it is going to be filled with leftist spin and propaganda. All the news that’s fit to print as approved by the Obama Ministry of Truth. But give me a break, the AP and Fox actually think this is news? Every single person opposed to the Death Care bill knew that it would cost HUGE sums of money to implement. If the polls were correct in the closing days the number of Americans opposed to ObamaCare were in excess of 70% but they passed it anyway. We all knew the Emperor was lying through his teeth so why does it seem that the AP is shocked by this revelation? Because the referenced report originated from within the Obama Infestation.

The report in question was written by “economic experts” at the Department of Health and Human Services. The only news in the report is finding out that the Department of Health and Human Services actually employ “economic experts” but their conclusions aren’t news.

From the AP article on FoxNews.com:

A report by economic experts at the Health and Human Services Department said the health care remake will achieve Obama’s aim of expanding health insurance — adding 34 million Americans to the coverage rolls.

But the analysis also found that the law falls short of the president’s twin goal of controlling runaway costs, raising projected spending by about 1 percent over 10 years. That increase could get bigger, however, since the report also warned that Medicare cuts in the law may be unrealistic and unsustainable, forcing lawmakers to roll them back. emphasis mine

Anything new here? Beyond the Infestation finally admitting there are no savings and it isn’t even “deficit neutral” nothing new in my opinion. It says that the taxpayers will see an increase in federal spending due to this bill of 1% over 10 years only if the Medicare cuts are put into place. But we all know that won’t happen so that 1% will explode by $500 billion.

They passed the bill on the backs of seniors and the disabled.

It had to get done. It is an emergency. People are dying because of the lack of health care. If we don’t get this done, millions of children will be in danger.

This was all a bunch of male bovine excrement from the start. First off, it is illegal for any hospital to turn away someone in need of emergency health care. We all know that. Even illegal aliens know this fact. That is why they sneak across the border to an American hospital to drop their anchor babies on US soil. Secondly, there was no emergency. If ObamaCare had failed to pass, nothing different would happen. Progressive control of you – the proletariat – would be delayed.

American Socialists [see also: Progressives, Liberals, Populists] have been on a mission to gain control of the US health care system since the beginning of the last century. This quest has been their goal since Woodrow Wilson was Emperor. They think they’ve got it done but… it’s finality is in question.

Ask yourself, “why would Obama make Death Care the keystone of his reign?” Because his keystone was not the health of America, it was the advancement of Progressivism [see also: Socialism, Liberalism, Populism]. His goal was to get done all that which his Liberal [see also: Socialist, Progressive, Populist] predecessors were unable to get done. Wilson wanted universal health care as did FDR, Truman, Johnson, Carter, and Clinton. Once the government controls the purse strings of your health, they control you. Hello Big Brother. What’s next? Change the name of our nation to Oceania? Telescreens? How about the Thought Police?

Orwell wrote:

If there was hope, it must lie in the proles, because only there in those disregarded masses, eighty-five per cent of the population of Oceania, could the force to destroy the Party ever be generated.[1]

You my dear reader are a “prole” in Orwell’s “Newspeak”. So am I and all the others of us out here in middle America who are against this massive government takeover of our lives. As Orwell wrote in ’1984′, we the “disregarded masses” could be the force to destroy “the Party”. And we must if we ever hope for our way of life to survive. Because Obama and his “Party” are destined to destroy it unless we act.

The Source of Anti-Government Sentiment Revealed – Barack Hussein Obama

A mere 15 months have passed since the Obama agenda began and already the Emperor has lost his steam. According to recent polling conducted by the Pew Research Center, a full 77% of those surveyed expressed that they were either “angry” or “frustrated” with the federal government[1]. As the head of the federal establishment, this is very bad news for the Man with the middle name Hussein. But why? The answer to that question can be found in Mr. Obama’s rhetoric.

For all his claims during the election of being a “uniter”, Mr. Obama has done more in his first 15 months in office to further polarize this nation than any other chief executive in the history of the Republic. The major divide as of this writing is between the pro-government “bring on the socialism” types and the rest of us.

Mr. Obama has done such a good job of eroding his own base that a good portion of those who voted to put him into office is represented in that 77% data. Barack Hussein Obama could not have gotten elected if he had been truthful about his goals. Had to told the American people prior to his election that his goal was to fundamentally transform American from the land of the free to the land of indentured servitude he wouldn’t have even won his party’s nomination. But he did win his party’s nomination and then the Presidency based on loosely defined platitudes of ‘hope’ and ‘change’.

Platitudes don’t feed the bulldog and the American people (Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike) are rejecting the Emperor’s agenda. Had the gullible American voters been paying attention to what Mr. Obama was saying behind closed doors about them, perhaps this fiasco could have been avoided. His view of middle Americans is skewed by his urban sensibilities. Remember when he told a private gathering in San Francisco…

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.[2]

It was at this gathering of the brie and Chablis crowd in America’s bowl of cereal (San Francisco- you’ve got your nuts, your fruits, and your flakes) that Obama set-up the narrative being played out to counter any opposition to his moronic ambitions. Race.

Here’s how it is: in a lot of these communities in big industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, people have been beaten down so long. They feel so betrayed by government that when they hear a pitch that is premised on not being cynical about government, then a part of them just doesn’t buy it. And when it’s delivered by — it’s true that when it’s delivered by a 46-year-old black man named Barack Obama, then that adds another layer of skepticism.[3]

I’m sorry to inform this now 47-year-old man named Barack Hussein Obama but I don’t give a rat’s ass what his skin color is. My problem with him is his anti-American socialist agenda and his incessant need to apologize for America – a nation he completely regards as the greatest evil in the world. This 40-year-old Ohioan is feeling even more betrayed by a government run by him than I ever have before in my life. That’s saying a lot considering I’ve lived through 4 years of Jimmy Carter and 8 years of Bill Clinton.

Yes Mr. Obama we do cling to our guns and our religion because it is our right to do so. What is your excuse for clinging to your asinine love affair with Marx? As for those who have antipathy for those who aren’t like them look inward. It is your supporters in the “legitimate” media and your Infestation which fuels the anti-government sentiment because they are showing nothing but antipathy as you call it for the rest of us. We are held in such contempt by you, your Infestation, and your adoring fans in the libtard media it is no wonder we are beginning to gather to protest your asinine policies.

The above mentioned Pew Research Center study reveals a few details which may be potentially problematic for Mr. Obama and his Infestation. In the breakdown of who is ‘angry’ and ‘frustrated’ with the federal government many ’08 Obama voters must be included because without Independent voters Obama would have lost the election.

According to Pew, 30% of Republicans surveyed said they were ‘angry’ with the federal government and 43% answered they are ‘frustrated’. Among Democrats, 9% are ‘angry’ and 18% ‘frustrated. As for Independents, one could argue THE most important group of American voters, 25% said they are ‘angry’ and 33% ‘frustrated’.[1]

Also notable are the numbers of trust when comparing the Barack Hussein Obama Infestation with the George Walker Bush Administration. More Democrats were trusting of the federal government under the Bush Administration (26%) than Republicans of the government under the control of the Obama Infestation (12%). Even more interesting are the numbers of Republicans who trusted the government under Bush (50%) as compared to Democrats who trust the government under Obama (33%). Obama’s 33% trust factor among Democras is only slightly improved over Bush’s trust numbers among Democrats (26%).[1]

What’s even more shocking about these numbers from Pew is the fact that more Republicans trusted the federal government under Jimmy Carter (29%) than under Barack Obama (12%).[1] Jimmy Carter, who until the current President, has been considered the worst US President in our history.

This November is going to be a defining point in American history. It will be the point upon which the future of the Republic is decided. Will the United States continue to be the land of opportunity? Or will it follow Europe into the abyss of socialist dependency societies?
