Democrat Cannibalistic Munchfest…

…Let The Feeding Begin

Today class, we are going to examine the Democrat Tribe. They are a less developed community of humans as they become cannibalistic when threatened. Let me explain…

Political failure leads to finger-pointing which then morphs into a sort of twisted political brand of cannibalism. This is especially true for Democrats. It manifested itself rather conspicuously during the Clintonian Infestation and, to this point at a lesser degree, in the Obama Infestation. We haven’t yet seen a massive “redistribution” of the proverbial deck chairs – but it’s coming.

More than at the White House, Democrats in Congress are more apt to throw each other under that political bus than anywhere else. If a Representative or Senator steps out of the pre-carved political groove you can pretty much assume that their current term will also be their last if they have not already entrenched themselves in their seat. We see this already as incumbent Democrats are beginning to face primary challenges in their midterm races. More often than not, moderates are being challenged by the far-left.

What brings about this observation today is a story that appears in The Hill’s online version – Congressional Democrats point finger of blame at Rahm Emanuel. The Hill’s Alexander Bolton points a spotlight on the frustration of Congressional Democrats who are beginning to smell blood in the water. It seems that before the cannibals begin to swarm and close in on someone, there has to be a transgression committed by the individual that makes them already vulnerable, and that is what is happening to Rhambo.

Rham already took a political hit for his choice of words that drew the firestorm begun by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. This transgression combined with his intense personal involvement with the Infestation’s failed effort to get national Death Care passed has driven him underground. While he is in political purgatory, those looking to save their own hides are taking aim at Emanuel and will eventually put enough pressure on the Emperor to make a change. If they can shift the focus from their failure and project[1] it upon Emanuel, thereby lessening the blow to themselves in their re-election efforts, then perhaps they may survive the retribution from the voters for their shameful practice of ignoring their constituents.

Progressives do not believe that Emanuel did enough to swoon impressionable Republicans to the cause. Moderates think the Infestation and Congressional leadership tried to do too much at one time, thus creating a large opposition where Emanuel was the point man for the Infestation.

In a sense, Emanuel used a “scorched earth” policy on Death Care which left the Democrats and the Emperor without a major victory in the first year of this Congress. It is a well known in national politics that the only productive year of a Congress is the first year. Every House member and 1/3rd of the Senate spend year 2 of the Congress running for re-election so nothing generally gets done. Certainly nothing that would risk re-election prospects. No productive first year means an impotent Congress.

With the impending anti-incumbent political tidal wave set to crash into the Democrat majority in November, entrenched Democrats are no longer in a position of safety. The uber-left see 2009 as the wasted opportunity to achieve a century of planning. They came out of their political holes to put forth the most aggressive push toward socializing the United States since FDR and have failed again. Much worse, they’ve exposed themselves for the world to see.

We’ve already begun to see the re-branding of themselves. First they were “progressives” until that became a dirty word in America. They then switched to “liberal” until they destroyed that image. They then wanted to re-claim “progressive” believing it to be a more appealing description of what they are. Now that Americans again know what they wish to “progress” toward, they are re-branding themselves as “POPULIST” because they believe it to be more appealing than “progressive” or “liberal”. As the old saying goes, “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.”

In the dust-up to the 2010 midterms we will begin to see changes made. Loyalties will be tested and some abandoned. We’ve seen how Democrats treat their own once they are drummed out of the corps. Ask William Jefferson how it was to be abandoned by his Speaker and his Party. Or John Edwards for that matter. And if you need any further evidence of what I have written ask Senator Joe Lieberman. First his Party runs someone else for his seat forcing him to defend it as an Independent. Then, because he sided with the Republican candidate for President (albeit a PROGRESSIVE Republican), they threatened to strip him of his Committee Chair. THEN, because he opposed the Emperor’s Death Care bill, his wife’s job was threatened. Those power hungry Democrats want to feed. They are eager to feed and nothing will stop them from feeding…even if it’s on their own kind.

Like sharks, Congressional Democrats are beginning to hunt for a scapegoat. Emanuel has been identified as the most vulnerable high profile member of the Infestation. He is someone who does not face re-election this year and is a fitting scapegoat to project their insecurities upon. Let the feeding frenzy begin.

Obama, Emanuel, Shaw, and Fabian Socialism in America [UPDATED]

On Friday, the Glenn Beck program on Fox News Channel introduced Americans to a term that has not been clearly defined by anyone in my lifetime. The term? Fabian Socialism.

Beck’s introduction to America of the term “Fabian Socialism” came in the form of introducing a segment in his documentary “The Revolutionary Holocaust: …live free or die” which aired on FNC during his normal 5pm time slot this past Friday. He was introducing America to the political beliefs of noted Fabian George Bernard Shaw.

Many in America are familiar with Shaw’s work in literature and stage. Many may even recognize his most famous quote…

“England and America are two countries separated by a common language.” - George Bernard Shaw

But how many know of his Socialist writings? Shaw wrote of his membership in the Fabian Society…

Now the significant thing about the particular Socialist society which I joined was that the members all belonged to the middle class. Indeed its leaders and directors belonged to what is sometimes called the upper middle class: that is, they were either professional men like myself (I had escaped from clerkdom into literature) or members of the upper division of the civil service. Several of them have since had distinguished careers without changing their opinions or leaving the Society. To their Conservative and Liberal parents and aunts and uncles fifty years ago it seemed an amazing, shocking, unheard-of thing that they should become Socialists, and also a step bound to make an end of all their chances of success in life. Really it was quite natural and inevitable. Karl Marx was not a poor laborer: he was the highly educated son of a rich Jewish lawyer. His almost equally famous colleague, Friedrich Engels, was a well-to-do employer. It was precisely because they were liberally educated, and brought up to think about how things are done instead of merely drudging at the manual labor of doing them, that these two men, like my colleagues in The Fabian Society (note, please, that we gave our society a name that could have occurred only to classically educated men), were the first to see that Capitalism was reducing their own class to the condition of a proletariat, and that the only chance of securing anything more than a slave’s share in the national income for anyone but the biggest capitalists or the cleverest professional or business men lay in a combination of all the proletarians, without distinction of class or country to put an end to capitalism by developing the communistic side of our civilization until communism became the dominant principle in society, and mere owning, profiteering, and genteel idling were disabled and discredited. - George Bernard Shaw[1]

A couple of lesser known, but graphically hateful, quotes were featured by Beck in “… live free or die”. The first he had on film…

“I don’t want to punish anybody, but there are an extraordinary number of people whom I want to kill. I think it would be a good thing to make everybody come before a properly appointed board, just as he might come before the income tax commissioners, and say every 5 years or every 7 years, just put them there and say, sir or madam, will you be kind enough to justify your existence. If you are not producing as much as you consume, or perhaps a little more, then clearly we cannot use the big organization of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive. Because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself.” – George Bernard Shaw

The second quote (which I’ve been unable to find independently to confirm as being Shaw’s so I’m relying on Beck’s confirmation)…

“I appeal to the chemists to discover a humane gas that will kill instantly and painlessly, in short a gentlemanly gas – deadly by all means; but humane not cruel.” - George Bernard Shaw

[UPDATE 1/30/10: 1452]This quote was cited to originate in a column written in Listener on February 7, 1934. The source of the information and citing? The below added video.

Wonderful guy huh? He wrote the bit about the “humane gas” several years before the Nazi’s rose to power the Nazis developed “The Final Solution” in Germany. - corrected 1/31/10 based on information found within the above video clip [/update]

How does this quote relate to what has been occurring in the United States? Well, particularly over the past year it relates to a certain move by the President to “fundamentally transform America” in a manner that I (and many others like me) consider to be harmful.

Buried in the Porkulus package and related directly to the Death Care bill was a “framework” by which a board would be set up to monitor and approve medical procedures under the nationalized health care system desired by the uber-left. The origin of this? George Bernard Shaw by way of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s brother Ezekial who wrote…

The fundamental challenge to theories of distributive justice for health care is to develop a principled mechanism for defining what fragment of the vast universe of technically available, effective medical care services is basic and will be guaranteed socially and what services are discretionary and will not be guaranteed socially. Such an approach accepts a two-tiered health system-some citizens will receive only basic services while others will receive both basic and some discretionary health services. Within the discretionary tier, some citizens will receive few discretionary services, other richer citizens will receive almost all available services, creating a multiple-tiered system.[2] - emphasis mine

But who gets to determine which tier an individual is placed in? To borrow George Bernard Shaw’s words, “a properly appointed board.” And the criteria? We’ll let Dr. Emmauel answer that question as well.

This civic republican or deliberative democratic conception of the good provides both procedural and substantive insights for developing a just allocation of health care resources. Procedurally, it suggests the need for public forums to deliberate about which health services should be considered basic and should be socially guaranteed. Substantively, it suggests services that promote the continuation of the polity-those that ensure healthy future generations, ensure development of practical reasoning skills, and ensure full and active participation by citizens in public deliberations-are to be socially guaranteed as basic. Conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed.[2] - emphasis mine

He goes on to say,

An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia. A less obvious example Is is guaranteeing neuropsychological services to ensure children with learning disabilities can read and learn to reason.[2] - emphasis mine

It was the above quotes that brought about Sarah Palin’s ominous warning about Death Panels.

Dr. Emanuel and company would have us relegate our nation’s disabled to institutions like Pennhurst State Hospital. Not very “progressive” of an idea I don’t think. “Progressives” think of themselves as forward thinking, but institutions like Pennhurst are definitely backward thinking.

He and his colleagues call this “Distributive Justice”. Fancy word. But what does it mean? We’ll let Dr. Emanuel answer this as well in a paper he co-authored.

Allocation of very scarce medical interventions such as organs and vaccines is a persistent ethical challenge. We evaluate eight simple allocation principles that can be classified into four categories: treating people equally, favouring
the worst-off , maximising total benefits, and promoting and rewarding social usefulness. No single principle is sufficient to incorporate all morally relevant considerations and therefore individual principles must be combined into multiprinciple allocation systems. We evaluate three systems: the United Network for Organ Sharing points systems, quality-adjusted life-years, and disability-adjusted life-years. We recommend an alternative system—the complete lives system—which prioritises younger people who have not yet lived a complete life, and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.[3]

Seems to me that someone has been drinking from the Fabian Socialist koolaid cooler.

Let’s keep in mind that Dr. Ezekiel has already been empowered by the White House to fill a post legislatively authorized by Congress in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Porkulus). Initially, Emanuel was appointed as a “Special Adviser to the President in the White House Office of Management and Budget on Health Matters” [see also Czar]. Emanuel is the Health Czar.

Completion of the puzzle required passage of the Death Care bill to fully empower the Health Czar to set in motion the “properly appointed board”.

Many on the left consider Beck and people like me to be conspiracy theorists. Call us names if you will, but the fact remains that the pieces of this backward thinking EuroSocialist puzzle are undeniable. The difficulty arises when it is hidden within so many layers of liberal mumbo jumbo that many don’t wish to wade through. When someone does, however, they are called kooks and conspiracy theorists.

It is difficult to deny your own words. Words that you’ve said on film, audio tape, and/or had published in your name.

Many will question why I am writing about this now. To which I answer: The pieces of the puzzle are difficult to find, but they are there. One piece leads to another if you take time to find them. Unfortunately, the time it takes to discover the pieces and then fit them together is considerable. This is why those who are employing these destructive measures need to work quickly in order that you, the general public, are prevented from working their massive puzzle until it is too late.

Death Care may be dead on the surface, but that does not mean that the majority party won’t slip elements of the puzzle into unrelated legislation that once passed accomplishes their hateful goals.

Sharrod Brown – The Harry Reid of Ohio

This morning I received an email “newsletter” type correspondence from one of my Senators. I say “my” Senators with a bit of jest because neither of them fully represent my interests OR the interests of Ohio. Voinovich is a spinless RINO and Brown – well let us just say that Sharrod Brown is Harry Reid’s vote in Ohio. What Harry wants, Brown will be there to supply.

Michael Medved wrote in an article that he authored for Townhall.com earlier in the week…

Harry Reid is such an incomparably inept boob, such an easy target for ridicule and criticism, that his withdrawal from the upcoming battles might actually dim Republican prospects.

Borrowing from the words of Michael Medved…

Sharrod Brown is such an incomparably inept boob, such an easy target for ridicule and criticism, that he invites said ridicule by being functionally unable to think for himself. He is a lemming willing to sacrifice his political career by following those whom he believes to be smarter than he into the abyss of political irrelevancy and sacrificing the people of Ohio in the process.

Brown, like Emperor Obama and the rest of the ultra left, has read Robert Creamer’s prison tome, ‘Stand Up Straight: How Progressives Can Win’, which not only outlined how liberals could infest all aspects of government, but outlined the current Death Care bill being pushed through on The Hill.

Creamer actually said on April 25, 2008:

We need to reduce the credibility of the private insurance industry… This is a political campaign. We need to bring down the positives and bring up the negatives of our opponents. And the private insurance industry is our opponent in this battle. [1]

Universal, single-payer, health care is their way to control you and me. With it, they have everything in place to completely orchestrate how we live our lives. Because they would be the financier of public health, they can then tell the public how to live in order to remain healthy. Salt – no good. Transfats – no good. If it’s no good it will become illegal. An Orwellian nightmare to say the least.

Some may say, ‘but this bill isn’t single-payer.’ No it isn’t. Not yet anyway. But it can become single-payer over time and that is the true goal. Pay attention to the words used by those advocating its passage. They will use a keyword “framework”.

“Framework” is the instrument to install a single-payer system. Let me remind you that single-payer systems around the world are failing. They are a HUGE expenditure to the public treasury in the nations where it is implemented and services are often times denied or delayed in such a fashion that they become irrelevant and people die do to inaction.

Progressives have been working toward this for over 100 years. Wilson wanted this, Roosevelt wanted this, Johnson wanted this, Clinton wanted this, and now Obama is going to force it because he has stooges like Sharrod Brown in place to vote for it no matter the costs to his personal political career.

Sarah Palin coined a phrase last summer that was largely misunderstood. She said that this bill would install death panels. Taken out of context, liberals pounced on her for erroneously saying that the Emperor’s plan to have advisory meetings with seniors about end of life decisions were not a “death panel”. But that isn’t what she meant.

The death panels that Palin warned about isn’t the end of life counseling, it is the rationing body that necessarily must be set up to decide who gets what treatment at what cost. But even Sarah was wrong about its “framework”. That doesn’t exist in the Death Care bill. It actually was in the Porkulus bill.

That’s right. The authority for the rationing board actually has already passed. They concealed it within another bill so that when this debate came about they could honestly say, “there is no rationing body in this bill.” Also concealed in the Porkulus was a provision requiring all hospitals computerize all medical records and make them available to the above mentioned rationing body for review and payment. And Sharrod Brown voted for the Porkulus.

I know that this is 2010 and Brown’s seat isn’t up for re-election until 2012. I also know that there is an existing seat up in my state that is in contention. Voinovich is retiring – Thanks be to GOD – and Rob Portman is running for the seat. But we cannot advance as a nation or as a state if we allow Brown to remain a second longer than necessary. He was a bumbling moron as a Congressman and he’s nothing more than Harry Reid’s ‘yes man’ in the Senate.

Ohio needs to identify the man or woman who will remove that imbecile from his seat in 2012. The nation requires it of us as Ohioans to be responsible for who we send to the Senate. We mustn’t get caught up in who is going to replace the Emperor and lose sight of the bigger picture. We need good men and women to take the reigns of the House and the Senate as well. And don’t forget about the State Houses.

We have Portman who will in all likelihood defeat whichever bumbling boob the Democrats nominate to replace Voinovich and we have John Kasich and Mary Taylor to fill the top spots in the state.

But who will we have to fill our Congressional Districts? Are they for government health care? Jim Jordan is not and I’m glad of that. Jordan will be returned to Congress for another term that is no question. But what of your Congresscritter? Have they voted for the leftist agenda while in Congress? If so it’s time for forced retirement.

The current Congress (House and Senate) is spending this nation into the proverbial poor house. The national debt is approaching $13 Trillion with unfunded liabilities in excess of $120 Trillion. If your Congresscritter or Senator isn’t voting this new spending down, he/she is part of the problem and must go. If your Congresscritter and Senators are voting to reject this new spending, we need more like them.

But be careful. In as much as we need a change from the current tax and spend mentality, we do not need fiscally irresponsible Republicans either. If we are going to be ruled by liberals we may as well have the genuine article.

McCain/Palin Need to Close the Deal in 7 States

John McCain and Sarah Palin have at this time pretty much secured 189 of the required 270 electoral votes required to win the Presidency. That is only counting “Secure GOP” and “Likely GOP” states according to Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator.

Only 7 states and he clinches the election. Which? Florida(27), Indiana(11), and Ohio(20) are all leaning McCain now. But the fight isn’t over. Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Virginia are pure toss-ups. Should the McCain/Palin ticket make a move in Colorado)9), New Mexico(5), Nevada(5), and Virginia(13) that would represent an electoral victory. That’s 279 electoral votes.

Electoral strategy should be to concentrate heavily on the 4 toss-up states and keep up the pressure in the 3 leaners. Nevada might fall to Obama due to the heavy influence of Las Vegas labor unions, but that would still represent a 274 electoral vote victory for McCain.

Then there are some possible cross-overs from the “Dark Side”. The “Leans Dem” states of Iowa(7), Pennsylvania(21), and Wisconsin(10) are all in play. Cinderella upsets in these states falling to McCain would widen the electoral victory.

This cannot be accomplished at all if Ohio, Indiana, and Florida fall to Obama. These 3 critical states are the keys to winning the others. Of these 3, Ohio is the most critical. No Republican has ever won the Presidency without winning Ohio.

Dem-Cong In Trouble

All year we’ve been hearing that this is a Democrat year. Why? Because the news media which is in the bag for the Dems say so? That’s the perception that I’m living under.

Each election cycle, we hear the same ‘ol BS that the Dems are going to take control. The people are fed up with Republicans. But it never plays out as dire as “they” say. This year seems to be swinging back the other way already.

In a new Gallup Poll of registered voters suggests that the Dems may only slightly maintain control of Congress. That is a far cry from the pie in the sky hopes that the Communists Democrats were claiming just a couple of days ago.

Senate Dems bragged that they may pick up as many as 12 seats. House Dems were suggesting as many as 20. But the facts may be playing out much to Democrat dismay.

According to Gallup…

A potential shift in fortunes for the Republicans in Congress is seen in the latest USA Today/Gallup survey, with the Democrats now leading the Republicans by just 3 percentage points, 48% to 45%, in voters’ “generic ballot” preferences for Congress. This is down from consistent double-digit Democratic leads seen on this measure over the past year.

As is true for the current structure of voting preferences for president, Democratic voters are nearly uniform in their support for the Democratic candidate in their congressional districts (92%), Republican voters are nearly uniform in their support for the Republican candidate (94%), and independents are closely split, with 44% backing the Democrat and 40% the Republican.

The positive impact of the GOP convention on polling indicators of Republican strength is further seen in the operation of Gallup’s “likely voter” model in this survey. Republicans, who are now much more enthused about the 2008 election than they were prior to the convention, show heightened interest in voting, and thus outscore Democrats in apparent likelihood to vote in November. As a result, Republican candidates now lead Democratic candidates among likely voters by 5 percentage points, 50% to 45%.

If these numbers are sustained through Election Day — a big if — Republicans could be expected to regain control of the U.S. House of Representatives. emphasis mine

It would be incredibly positive for the Democrats should every registered voter show up to the polls on November 4th and casts a Democrat vote. But reality is, they don’t.

Gallup has an explanation for why the Dems numbers are dropping…

The new USA Today/Gallup measurement of generic ballot preferences for Congress casts some doubt on the previously assumed inevitability of the Democrats’ maintaining control of Congress.

Until now, the dark shadow cast by George W. Bush’s widespread unpopularity has suppressed Republican Party identification nationwide, as well as voters’ willingness to support the Republican candidate running for Congress in their district.

Now that the symbolic leadership of the party is shifting away from Bush and toward the suddenly popular Republican presidential ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin, things may be changing. This shrinks Bush’s shadow over the Republicans, revealing more of the Democrats’ own shadow stemming from high disapproval of Congress. The key question is how much of this is temporary because of the tremendous bounce in support for the Republicans on many dimensions coming right off of their convention. The degree to which the Republican bounce is sustained, rather than dissipates, in the weeks ahead will determine whether the 2008 race for Congress could in fact be highly competitive, rather than a Democratic sweep. emphasis mine

Americans are tired of the revenge politics of the Democrats. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Ok, here are a couple of examples.

Since coming to power, the Do-Nothing Dem-Cong has launched hundreds of probes into the Bush White House seeking evidence for which they can bring Articles of Impeachment against him. Why? Revenge for the impeachment of Slick Billy Bob Bubba.

When Sarah Palin was named John McCain’s running mate, the Obama campaign has been on a quest to portray Palin as grossly unqualified for the position in an effort to get her dropped from the ticket. Why? Because of what happened in 1972.

During the ‘72 election, George McGovern’s running mate Thomas Eagleton was found to have a previously undisclosed bout with mental illness forcing him from the ticket. It seems that Eagleton underwent electroshock therapy in the 1960s. McGovern never recovered.

Revenge is the key to Democrat thinking. And it is revenge that will cost them their precious majority.

The irony now is Joe Biden. Biden by his own admission is not the most qualified to be the Democrat running mate. He admitted the other day that Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice. If Biden drops from the ticket, Obama can blame the Eagleton affect for his loss in November.

The bottom line is the Dem-Cong is not likely to achieve the gains they are hoping for in November. It is more likely that they’ll either maintain a slim majority OR lose control to Republicans.

Obama’s Outrage Shows His Unpreparedness

It seems that the man with the middle name Hussein is a bit miffed at the usually accommodating press for accentuating his comment from yesterday – “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig” – which any reasonable person would assume is a jab at GOP VP Nominee Sarah Palin. He is claiming that it was taken out of context. He’s even more miffed at the McCain campaign for highlighting Obama’s insensitive comment.

“See, it would be funny, but the news media decided that would be the lead story yesterday. This happens every election cycle. Every four years, this is what we do. This is what they want to spend two of the last 55 days talking about…Enough!”

It is about time that the Obamassiah receive the same treatment from the press as everyone else gets in Presidential politics. Kind of reminds me of a song from one of my favorite bands.

“I know a thing or two about her, I know she’ll only make you cry, She’ll let you walk the street beside her, but when she won’t she’ll pass you by…” – KISS ‘Strutter’

The “her” and the “she” in the lyric reminds me of the press. It can be overly accommodating at one point then turn on you like a possessed pit bull at others. The press has been in the tank for Obama for so long when it decided to turn on him he had the reaction of an individual who is NOT prepared for the rigors of the Presidency.

His harsh reaction to the press’s 180 is proof that he cannot be an effective leader. If he cannot handle the minor criticism of the American press what is he going to do when faced with Russia’s increasingly hostile posturing, Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons, and al Qaeda?

Obama went on to say,

“These are serious times and they call for a serious debate…spare me all the phony outrage. Spare me all the phony talk about change.”

He’s right, these are serious times and we need serious people in charge. Problem with Obama is that he cannot handle the job. We’ve been saying for the past 19 months that he is ill equipped to handle the Presidency of the United States of America. The job is simply above him.

The McCain campaign, being the reasonable people they are, had the same reaction of Obama’s pig comments as the rest of us did and took him to the mat over it which sparked his comment from today. Reacting to today’s comment from “The Chosen One”, McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said,

“Barack Obama can’t campaign with schoolyard insults and then try to claim outrage at the tone of the campaign. His talk of new politics is as empty as his campaign trail promises, and his record of bucking his party and reaching across the aisle simply doesn’t exist.”

As for Obama’s comment, “Spare me all the phony talk about change,” then Barack ought to drop the word from his vocabulary entirely. He’s not an agent of change. He is nothing more than a younger version of Teddy “The Lush” Kennedy and nothing else. Barack Hussein Obama is nothing less than the same old product of the Chicago Democrat Machine. Change… He doesn’t know the meaning of the word.

If he hopes to defeat Hillary Clinton for his Party’s nomination in 2012 then he’s going to have to learn how to deal with a hostile press and people taking what you say out of context because that is what the job entails – like it or not. Because he’s losing this election and even the most hardened Democrats are realizing this.

Salon.com columnist Camille Paglia has even written…

I must admit that McCain is currently eating Obama’s lunch.

And…

Conservative though she may be, I felt that Palin represented an explosion of a brand new style of muscular American feminism. At her startling debut on that day, she was combining male and female qualities in ways that I have never seen before. And she was somehow able to seem simultaneously reassuringly traditional and gung-ho futurist. In terms of redefining the persona for female authority and leadership, Palin has made the biggest step forward in feminism since Madonna channeled the dominatrix persona of high-glam Marlene Dietrich and rammed pro-sex, pro-beauty feminism down the throats of the prissy, victim-mongering, philistine feminist establishment.

They see the election slipping away. They see the writing on the wall. They see a day in January when John S. McCain III on the steps of the Capital Building raises his right hand and says, “I John S. McCain do solemnly swear…” They see Sarah Palin doing the same and their world is crashing in around them. They’ve nominated the wrong candidate for President and they know it.

Zogby International: McCain/Palin Up By 4 – Obama Should Be Worried

In a year which is supposed to be dominated by Democrats, the Republican ticket is leading the race in September? How ironic.

If it were not for Sarah Palin being added to the ticket, I doubt that John McCain would be garnering these kinds of numbers this early. Helping matters is the left-wing blogosphere combined with what Hannity calls the “Obama Media” and their relentless attacks on Palin and her family. With each new non-story attacking the Republican VP Nominee – and worse her family – Americans are being drawn to the GOP ticket.

From Zogby International:

Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin left St. Paul, Minnesota, with a smallish bounce overall and some energy in key demographic groups, as the race for the presidency enters a key stage and voters begin to tune in to the contest, the latest Zogby Interactive poll finds.

The McCain/Palin ticket wins 49.7% support, compared to 45.9% backing for the Obama/Biden ticket, this latest online survey shows. Another 4.4% either favored someone else or were unsure.

In the two-way contest in which just McCain and Obama were mentioned in the question, the result was slightly different, with McCain leading, 48.8% to 45.7%.

In a Zogby Interactive survey conducted last weekend, just after the McCain announcement that Palin would join his ticket, McCain Palin won 47.1% support, while Obama/Biden won 44.6% support.

The interactive survey of 2,312 likely voters nationwide was conducted Sept. 5-6, 2008, and carries a margin of error of +/- 2.1 percentage points.

What should be beginning to concern the Democrats at this point is not only losing the White House November 4th, but seeing their slim majority in Congress slip away as well.

By alienating Joe Lieberman for his support of John McCain that could be a vote in the Senate that Democrat leaders are willingly throwing away. Combine that with the increasing distaste Americans are developing for the tactics employed by the Democrat Party and the seats that they hope to be picking up in the Senate are in jeopardy.

If the Democrat Leadership in the Senate give Lieberman his walking papers or strip him of his Committee Chairmanship, AND they fail to pick up any additional seats, the Senate will change hands. If Nancy Pelosi continues to mock the will of the American people by avoiding a vote on the proposed bill that would increase domestic oil production, the House may see a change as well. Is this the ‘Change’ that Obama has been preaching about?

The 110th Congress has been a failure from its first day. It has failed to do anything that its leaders promised. Nothing resembling bipartisanship has emerged from the increasingly polarized House. The Senate will continue to be deadlocked until one Party or the other is voted into power with more than 60 seats or the rules are changed on cloture.

As for the Democrat pick for President/Vice President? What can I say other than they fell for the window dressing. They bought a bill of goods without knowing how it functions. They allowed themselves to be sold on “a cult of personality” and it is blowing up in their faces. They rejected a more qualified candidate for President based on guilt and rhetoric. And now they are likely to lose.

As for today’s poll numbers from Zogby, perhaps this is only an early indication of how November 4th will play out. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it here again, the dirt on Obama hasn’t started to come forward yet. That will likely happen next month. And don’t look at the McCain campaign as the source. It will be coming from the Clinton campaign. Why? Because the ONLY shot Hillary has at becoming the first woman elected President of the United States is if she can secure the Democrat Nomination in 2012. 2016 will be too late in her life to mount an effective campaign and she cannot challenge a sitting President from her own Party for that nomination in 2012. In other words, she needs McCain to win.

To accomplish this, the Clintons will leak every bit of dirt they’ve been accumulating against Obama since May. And they will do it through their surrogates on the internet in order to distance themselves from the dirt. But rest assured, it will originate with the Clintons.

Bottom line…

The poll numbers will stay pretty tight throughout the remainder of the race. Polls run by left-leaning news outlets will be the last to indicate a McCain/Palin lead so when they do it will indicate something much more dire for Obama/Biden.

The Dems didn’t count on Sarah Palin and her impact on the Conservative base. The nomination of John McCain left Conservatives considering staying home in protest. Since he named Palin to the ticket, the base has been energized to a level not seen since Reagan’s 1984 campaign. Even Michael Reagan declared her to have the spirit of his father.

Conservatives, bitter Clinton supporters, Reagan Democrats, McCain’s moderates, and Independents are going to combine in an effort to prevent Obama from achieving his goal. And what is that goal? To destroy the American way of life (as we currently know it).

Varvel hits this right on the head. Sarah Palin’s candidacy has resurrected not only the GOP, but the Conservative movement.

John McCain’s securing the nomination of our Party seemingly signaled the blue-blood moderate take over of the Party. McCain’s choice in Palin is signaling that perhaps McCain doesn’t see that as an acceptable direction for the Party itself while he attempts to court those blue-bloods and independents in order to defeat Barack Hussein Obama on November 4th.

Discarding of Conservatives and Conservative values would send the GOP back to the 1960s. Palin has prevented that from happening.

Democrat Cannibalistic Munchfest…

February 9, 2010

…Let The Feeding Begin

Today class, we are going to examine the Democrat Tribe. They are a less developed community of humans as they become cannibalistic when threatened. Let me explain…
Political failure leads to finger-pointing which then morphs into a sort of twisted political brand of cannibalism. This is especially true for Democrats. It manifested itself [...]

Obama, Emanuel, Shaw, and Fabian Socialism in America [UPDATED]

January 24, 2010

On Friday, the Glenn Beck program on Fox News Channel introduced Americans to a term that has not been clearly defined by anyone in my lifetime. The term? Fabian Socialism.
Beck’s introduction to America of the term “Fabian Socialism” came in the form of introducing a segment in his documentary “The Revolutionary Holocaust: …live free or [...]

Sharrod Brown – The Harry Reid of Ohio

January 16, 2010

This morning I received an email “newsletter” type correspondence from one of my Senators. I say “my” Senators with a bit of jest because neither of them fully represent my interests OR the interests of Ohio. Voinovich is a spinless RINO and Brown – well let us just say that Sharrod Brown is Harry Reid’s [...]

McCain/Palin Need to Close the Deal in 7 States

September 23, 2008

John McCain and Sarah Palin have at this time pretty much secured 189 of the required 270 electoral votes required to win the Presidency. That is only counting “Secure GOP” and “Likely GOP” states according to Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator.
Only 7 states and he clinches the election. Which? Florida(27), Indiana(11), and Ohio(20) are [...]

Dem-Cong In Trouble

September 12, 2008

All year we’ve been hearing that this is a Democrat year. Why? Because the news media which is in the bag for the Dems say so? That’s the perception that I’m living under.
Each election cycle, we hear the same ‘ol BS that the Dems are going to take control. The people are fed up with [...]

Obama’s Outrage Shows His Unpreparedness

September 10, 2008

It seems that the man with the middle name Hussein is a bit miffed at the usually accommodating press for accentuating his comment from yesterday – “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig” – which any reasonable person would assume is a jab at GOP VP Nominee Sarah Palin. He [...]

Zogby International: McCain/Palin Up By 4 – Obama Should Be Worried

September 7, 2008

In a year which is supposed to be dominated by Democrats, the Republican ticket is leading the race in September? How ironic.
If it were not for Sarah Palin being added to the ticket, I doubt that John McCain would be garnering these kinds of numbers this early. Helping matters is the left-wing blogosphere combined with [...]
