Unemployment Down But Is That Good News or No News?

I’ve been meaning to comment on November’s unemployment numbers since their release but have been pulled in several other directions and my blogging efforts are the casualty. That said, here are my thoughts on the massive recovery in the job sector…

First off, and this may be news to all the pinheads who believe the Infestation’s estimations of the nation’s unemployed, a .2% drop in new jobless claims in November does not a recovery make. Let’s first take a look at what month we are talking about – November. What happens in November Class? Anybody? Short answer – seasonal hiring.

That’s right campers, that miraculous .2% tumble in new jobless claims can in all likelihood be attributed to seasonal hiring in the retail sector. Come January, I see a massive jump in new jobless claims as those who are currently taking part-time retail work to put presents under the tree for their kids suddenly find themselves again looking for work.

Next, let us not forget that the numbers used to gauge the nation’s unemployed are NEW Jobless Claims as filed in the various states. It does not count those who are already in the system. It also does not count those who take part-time (or seasonal) work or other menial jobs for less pay than that which they were receiving in their former positions. This is called – mark this down libtards, it is a word that you have obviously never heard of – underemployed. The underemployment rate in this country is estimated to be between 17 and 18 percent. A disastrous number if the average American Lemming were to ever take the time to understand.

Since the beginning of this recession an estimated 7 million jobs have been lost. Approximately 4 million of those jobs have been lost since Emperor Barry took command. Unemployment has more than doubled under his watch as the federal budget deficit has tripled. The government is spending like crazy and making fictitious claims of “saving” jobs. Now the Turd-in-Chief wants to spend nearly $200 Billion more under the guise of creating jobs?!? It is time someone cut up Mr. Obama’s National Debt Credit Card.

There is one major reason why employers are not hiring right now and it is a concept that libtards cannot understand if you presented them with full color animated illustrations. Uncertainty.

With a certainty of a massive tax increase as the Bush tax cuts sunset combined with the uncertainty over health care reform, the lack of credit being extended to small and medium sized businesses, and a daily barrage of legislative proposals designed to crater the market economy of the United States, employers are apprehensive about hiring anyone at this point.

The word tax means to impede. Taxes are an impediment to the private sector. As tax rates increase, the number of jobs decrease. As jobs evaporate, government revenues evaporate as well. The liberal answer to lower government revenue is to raise tax rates which in turn eliminates additional jobs.

It is a mistake to believe that doubling down on the mistakes which create an atmosphere in which fewer people support the masses will improve the situation. As fewer and fewer people are contributing to the government through taxes on income, the less able the government is going to be to support the dependency state which they have created for the rest of the population.

Try as they may to shift the blame for the current economic conditions in this country to the Bush Administration, this President and his Administration are responsible for this economy. The President said that if Congress did not pass his $787 billion Porkulus package unemployment would rise over 8%. They passed it, he signed it, and unemployment hit a 26 year high of 10.2% anyway. Obama owns this recession so do not let them get away with their attempts to pawn off their responsibility. Remember, the worse the unemployment rate got under the Bush Administration was 6.5% (in 2008).

The 10% unemployment numbers for November are still extremely bad. Don’t be fooled into thinking this Infestation has finally gotten their collective heads out of their proverbial backsides because new jobless claims dropped an anemic .2%.

.2% of 7 million unemployed is a relatively insignificant number.

Even If The Birth Certificate Is Real, Is Obama Eligible?

A lot of effort is going into ascertaining whether Barack Obama’s birth took place in Hawaii or not. My position is simple, irregardless if he was a natural born citizen at the time of his birth, did he forfeit that birth right when his mother and step-father took him to Indonesia and registered him for school?

Under Indonesian law at the time, for a child to be enrolled in a state run school that child had to be a citizen of Indonesia. Barack Obama has claimed that he did not attend a Madrassa as claimed by some but rather he attended public school while in Indonesia. If this is true, then he is claiming Indonesian citizenship at that time not US citizenship. Countering the public school claims, a record has surfaced that Barack’s step-father, Lolo Soetoro actually registered young Barry Soetoro in a Catholic School in Jakarta. Listed under religion for little Barry Soetoro? Islam.

Doubt me? See for yourself. This is an AP photo.

Either way, Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama had to be a citizen of Indonesia in order to be registered in the first place. And as such no longer a citizen (natural born or otherwise) of the United States. Duel citizenship did not exist at that time.

So the major question that I believe the White House, the Obama’s, the Democrat Party, and the media is really avoiding is whether Mr. Obama ever regained his citizenship? If so, is he still considered natural born after forfeiting it in Indonesia? When he re-entered the United States was it on a US passport or an Indonesian passport? If it was under an Indonesian passport, is he even in this country legally?

When he made his trip to Pakistan it is rumored to have been under an Indonesian passport. If this is true, isn’t it likely that Mr. Obama re-entered the United States under that same passport? It has also been rumored that he received a foreign student grant or scholarship when attending Occidental College. If so, what proof did Barry have to prove his foreign citizenship? Could it have been this rumored Indonesian passport?

Did he defraud the people of the state of Illinois by running and being elected to the State Senate and United States Senate? Has he defrauded the people of the United States by running for an office that he is ineligible for? These are questions that deserve answers.

We may never know the answers to these questions because the President has sealed all of his records and effectively cut-off the ability for the public to know.

Isn’t it interesting that NONE of these records are open for public scrutiny? His original birth record has been destroyed by the hospital, his school records are sealed, and he’s spending millions of dollars fighting the question over his citizenship. There would be only 1 reason to fight release of any of the requesting information. He has something to hide. What is it?

And an even bigger question will be what if he isn’t eligible? What happens? Who is the legal President of the United States if Barack Obama is the fraud many of us believe him to be? Is it Big Mouth Joe? Or would the entire 2008 Democrat ticket be considered voided because of fraud? After-all, the Party didn’t do enough to ascertain whether or not their candidate was eligible to hold the office that he was running for. Or does it fall upon John McCain to assume the Presidency by default?

What would happen to all the bills that he fraudulently signed into law? Would they be voided as well? What about the appointment of Sonya Sotomayor to the Supreme Court? Would it also be voided? What about operational orders for the military? They would be invalid and unlawful because they were issued by someone who cannot be President of the United States.

Something about this guy stinks to high heaven. And We The People need to know what is causing that odor. Our very existence as a nation depends upon answers to these very important questions yet the President is fighting to keep this information from you. Why?

The easiest way to dispel the rumors and speculation if he is indeed eligible to hold the office of President is to release all the requested documentation. Failure to do so endangers our very way of life.

Of cabbages–and kings–

July 26, 2009 Opinion Comments Off

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”

from ‘The Walrus and The Carpenter’ – Lewis Carroll

This quotation from ‘The Walrus and The Carpenter’ is often quoted in relation to the truth. A truth that someone may not want to hear and another may not really want to divulge.

After a couple of weeks of self-doubt and questioning brought on by those on the left whose goal it is to silence those who seek out and discuss the truth regarding the agenda of the left, I have spent the day devouring the writings of others like me who doubt that the current administration has anything but contempt for us – the lowly governed class. What I can’t understand is the insistence of these same reprehensible people that they are thinking human beings when they do nothing but parrot the Democrat Party elitists and attack anyone who dare challenge the words of the President, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. It seems to me that they are nothing but the lowly foot-soldiers – the stormtroopers as it were – of the same elitists they parrot.

Leaving the unfortunates to themselves is something that I’ve promised myself, my family, friends, and readers. In that light, I will only reference them from this point forward as DRONES (in all caps) because of their non-thinking nature and blind obedience to an ideology which has failed each and every time it has ever been attempted.

As Einstein said…

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

So I’m done with going toe to toe with the insane and have come to the decision that they, like most people, only ridicule that which they are incapable of understanding. In this case, logic and truth.

Programming note out of the way – on with the show…

As I stated above, I spent today devouring anything written by friends, colleagues, and those I admire for their insight and wit. Of all the articles that I’ve read today, Austin Hill’s Townhall.com contribution stuck out the most. Austin asks a question -

Why Aren’t Americans Obeying Obama?

As Austin rightly points out in his article, Americans are not subjects of some great sovereign. We are the government who then entrusts its management to a select group of people elected to terms of specific length. In the current case, the electorate wrongly or rightly selected Barack Obama to manage the people’s government on November 4, 2008. In the roughly 6 months since his taking power, the nation has slipped further into the abyss of the current global economic crisis. Each time one of his programs is implemented, we slide a little further. What does this say of the man who got himself elected solely based upon his communications skills. Skills which have been proven to only exist if his speech writer has the opportunity to prepare his words in advance and deliver them via teleprompter. Anyone with a high school education can sound politically eloquent when all of their words are fed to them via electronic device.

Special note: President George W. Bush was derided by many in this nation for his inability to communicate. I on the other hand would prefer to have a Commander-in-Chief who understood the word nuclear even if he couldn’t say it than the current pinhead who thinks that if he says the United States is going to disarm, those words would be enough to short circuit the third world’s ambitions to join the nuclear club.

And speaking of Bush, some of his best speeches, the ones where he really spoke to the people, were the speeches where he didn’t have any prepared texts. Obama, on the other hand, cannot say the same.

Austin Hill points out in his article today Obama’s need of control –

President Barack Obama has demonstrated an unquenchable need to control the lives of private citizens, and the workings of private sector society, and his indignation is aimed at those who would question this. Two American car companies, multiple banks and financial institutions, the rates of salaries paid to business executives, the entire American medical profession and health care industry, even content on the internet – - Obama will control it all. He knows best in all circumstances, and our role is to simply comply.

And our duty – for the good of the country mind you – is to obey. To let him have his way and obey.

This brought up an interesting thought as I read Austin’s article. We’ve all joked, “When I’m elected dictator…” But in this case, Obama has been. Or at least in his mind he has.

His is to edict and ours is to obey after-all he only has 4 years to destroy what’s left of the old America.

So to Lewis Carroll I say – yes pigs do have wings. America is now a socialist nation and we have a leader who is attempting to establish himself as a person of nobility if not divinity. Only problem, our new king smells like cabbage does when heat is applied.

In The Shadow of Socialized Medicine

May 13, 2009 Communism, Health Care, News, Opinion, Stupidity, socialism Comments Off

Posted By GM Roper on May 13, 2009

Note: Reprinted with GM’s Permission

Generally speaking, most liberals are for single payer health care or some other form of socialized medical care, and most conservatives are not. This is fairly easy to understand as the majority of liberals believe that health care is too important to be left to the money grubbing big pharma companies and the selfish, money-grubbing, power-hungry doctors who think they are demigods.

Conservatives of course are much more rational. We understand that the liberal mindset cannot grasp the logical extension of their thinking. For example, If it is good social policy that the so called rich pay more than they should, repeat should be more than magnanimous and pay everything they make; you know the simplified IRS Form 1040:

Line 1 How much did you make……………………$_________

Line 1a Send it in!………………………………………..$_________

And of course the rest of us merely get a check based on our “fair share” of the pie.

Obama has already set that up in his “95% of you will get a tax cut” which leaves out the simple fact that 40% of us don’t pay taxes anyway and if Obama really does get his way, that means that those in that category will get a larger check from Uncle Sugar as Uncle Sam is known in some corners.

But I digress, this story is about medicine and not tax dollars (though by the end of this diatribe you will understand the connection between the two.)

I recently read via Glenn Reynolds that there is the possibility of rationing of health care – oh, excuse me, that is a buzz word hated by those who support single-payer health care (socialized medicine by another name) – I mean rationing Tamiflu and Relenza because the WHO (World Health Organization) says that if we aren’t careful about who gets it, we may well run out of if.

For the moment, let’s forget the running out of it part and concentrate on the lets decide who is gonna get it and when that happens, health care is being de facto rationed. And rationed care is not one bit better than what we currently have, except for who gets to decide who gets it. Lets be honest, there is not enough quality health care to go around in this world. Like it or not, that is a simple fact that even the most obtuse ought to be able to get their minds around.

Currently, the best health care is fettered by ability to pay or possession of some form of health “insurance” or by the charitable giving of time and resources by those that have the time and resources to give. That is one of the reasons that rationed care in say our neighbor to the north, Canada, has so many of it’s citizens coming to the United States for say MRIs or hip and knee replacements – care that we routinely accept as, well, routine. Of course, knee replacement costs money, but it is available to those on Medicare, Medicaid, or those with health insurance. And that of course means that it is rationed to those that can afford it – those without health insurance of some kind can either go without or pay for it out of pocket, and make no mistake, it ain’t cheap. In Canada, the wait for a “simple” knee replacement is perhaps greater than a 6 month period with poorer outcomes for those that waited longer where as in the United states, the wait time is 3 to 6 weeks and of course better outcomes.

Other medically necessary proceedures take longer in Canada than they do in the US, that is simple fact and the reason is simple, when the supply of dollars is limited, care must be rationed. Medicare for example is rapidly running out of dollars. According to the Obama administration, Medicare will run out of funds sooner than expected, as will Social Security:

In announcing the results of the trustees’ annual forecast with other Cabinet members, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said, “The president explicitly rejects the notion that Social Security is untouchable politically.” Still, he reiterated that the administration intends to “work to build a bipartisan consensus to ensure the long-term solvency of Social Security” only after it collaborates with Congress to slow health-care spending and enable more Americans to obtain medical insurance.

You know, that’s pretty funny because conservatives have stated all along that Social Security and Medicare were going to be a massive drain and would be “in trouble” long before the Democrats decided that it was not an “untouchable” political third rail:

Congressional Republicans and some Democrats seized upon the findings to argue that the administration should work rapidly to ward off the looming insolvency of Social Security and Medicare. Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), who withdrew from nomination as Obama’s commerce secretary, said yesterday’s report shows that the recession is “accelerating the arrival of a massive, trillion-dollar entitlement crisis on our doorstep.” He added: “Trying to kick the can down the road will not make it go away. We need to take meaningful action now.” [emphasis added]

I distinctly remember the debate over the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid in 1964 and 1965 and the cost was “guaranteed” by Vice President Humphrey to stay “low.” Unfortunately for America, that cost was only a drop in the flood that these two entitlement programs would balloon to. Outlays for Medicare and Medicaid program are currently running to over $500,000.00 per household and the simple reason is that these programs have grown and grown and grown as “benefits” by a congress that wants to stay in power and it knowingly does so by handing out goodies gratis to the recipient but paid for by the American Taxpayer:

Taxpayers are on the hook for a record $57.3 trillion in federal liabilities to cover the lifetime benefits of everyone eligible for Medicare, Social Security and other government programs, a USA TODAY analysis found. That’s nearly $500,000 per household.

Those goodies will eventually result in significant rationing by a faceless bureaucracy. Will you get that new cancer treatment – no, not if you aren’t a special class. Will you get Tamiflu, again, no because that is suggested that it be rationed by WHO, and if you are a healthy productive member of society, don’t count on it because those of us that are at “higher risk” are likely to use up the supply if e.v.e.r.y.b.o.d.y. who wants it gets it.

I work hard for my living, and I have a great health insurance policy. I recently had an antibiotic prescribed that has a retail cost of $288.99 but I only paid $25.00. I’m also a cancer survivor, lung cancer in fact and I was an idiot smoker. What would have happened in the health nazi’s had said “Hey wait, we don’t give out anti-cancer drugs to those who smoked themselves into cancer.” Or maybe just denied because my best years are behind me? My beloved uncle recently had heart surgery paid for primarily by Medicare. He is in his (oh so very young) 80’s. Would he have been denied the surgery because he is “too old?”

But wait will say some, American Health Care isn’t so hot, in fact, the WHO rates US healthcare as 37th; below Costa Rica and Morroco. Morroco? Yeah, Morroco. Oh well, at least we beat Chad and Nigeria let alone Russia.

But there are significant problems with that ranking (last done 9 years ago because of the “complexity” of the problem.) Complexity? Heh, as Glenn Reynolds might say! One of the problems is of course, their methodology about which Dr. Chris Rangel note:

In the mockumentary ‘Sicko’, Michael Moore points out that despite spending the most on health care of any nation ($7,400 per capita), the US ranks near the bottom among industrialized countries and only two spots above Cuba (that spends $251 per capita). What rankings? In 2000 the World Health Organization came up with rankings for the health care systems of 190 countries.

The problem is that the WHO ranking has very little to do with the quality of health care as implied by ‘Sicko’ and by many liberals. Of several variables, only life expectancy is used as a measure of health care quality. But this is a bad measure of overall health care quality and does not correlate exactly with health care spending. This is due to the fact that there are multiple other variables other than health care that directly impact life expectancy.

Of course, we could offer health care like Cuba’s which Michael Moore extolled and which the WHO ranks 39th, only two lousy points below the US, but compare pictoral representations of the two:

Choose the hospital room on the left, or on the right. Your choice, choose carefully!

Normally Dem Friendly AP Calls Obama Out on Deficit Responsibility Denial

President Juggears attempted to shift blame for the escalating federal budget deficit onto his predecessor…

Obama -

“Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit…. That wasn’t me. Number two, there is almost uniform consensus among economists that in the middle of the biggest crisis, financial crisis, since the Great Depression, we had to take extraordinary steps. So you’ve got a lot of Republican economists who agree that we had to do a stimulus package and we had to do something about the banks. Those are one-time charges, and they’re big, and they’ll make our deficits go up over the next two years.

However, the normally liberal friendly Associated Press isn’t buying it. In an unusual confirmation of just exactly how the federal government is defined by the United States Constitution, the AP reminds us…

Congress controls the purse strings, not the president, and it was under Democratic control for Obama’s last two years as Illinois senator. Obama supported the emergency bailout package in President George W. Bush’s final months – a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger.

To be sure, Obama opposed the Iraq war, a drain on federal coffers for six years before he became president. But with one major exception, he voted in support of Iraq war spending.

The AP even goes further confirming Republican and Conservative reminders that President Obamaramadingdong is actually making the economy worse with his “fix” for our nation’s financial woes.

The economy has worsened under Obama, though from forces surely in play before he became president, and he can credibly claim to have inherited a grim situation.

Still, his response to the crisis goes well beyond “one-time charges.”

He’s persuaded Congress to expand children’s health insurance, education spending, health information technology and more. He’s moving ahead on a variety of big-ticket items on health care, the environment, energy and transportation that, if achieved, will be more enduring than bank bailouts and aid for homeowners.

The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimated his policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years, even accounting for his spending reduction goals. Now, the deficit is nearly quadrupling to $1.75 trillion. – emphasis mine

For all the excuses that the AP makes for the man with the middle name Hussein in their article, they also are pointing out his disconnection with the truth. Which is in fact something that we on the right have been telling you since before YOU voted for him. YOU, the American voter, are responsible for what is happening with our country. YOU, allowed Barry the Wonder Turd to become POTUS in spite of questions that have gone unanswered to this day. YOU elected him without knowing who he is. And YOU buried your head in the sand when he began to show his colors before the election writing off verbal mistakes which gave us glimpses into his intent.

YOU, whether YOU voted for Barry the Wonder Turd or not, are equally guilty as those who did because YOU didn’t do enough to prevent his election. YOU, allowed him to get away with avoiding substantive debate and taking his eloquent speeches on face value.

By failing to demand answers to the questions about his place of birth and his associations with known domestic terrorists, racist pastors, and known Communists, YOU have failed the American people past, present, and future.

My conscience is clear. I did my part. I voted against him and wrote about him. I asked the questions to which I am still demanding answers to. Where were YOU?

I find it incredibly disconcerting that the AP – the liberal propagandists that they are – are doing more to counter Obamaramadingdong’s pretty speeches attempting to absolve himself of all culpability than YOU are. It is time to act. It’s actually past time to act but the time for burying your head in the sand is OVER.

With the defection of Arlen Spector to the Democrat Party the Senate Majority Leader has the super majority required to bypass the Will of the People. It is now more imperative than ever to take away that majority.

1/3 of the Senate is up for re-election next year. We need to either reduce that majority to make it possible for the Republicans to block harmful legislation (no matter how well intentioned) or regain the majority in the Senate. Every single House seat is up and it is possible – no matter how improbable – to regain the majority there as well.

We also need State Houses. For example – Ohio.

Commie Ted Strickland is up for re-election in 2010. If not for the corrupt way in which his predecessor governed, he would NOT have that office now. Ken Blackwell would. But that wasn’t in the cards thanks to Bob Taft. But Ohioans have a shot in 2010. If someone like John Kasich can be persuaded to run, he would be elected by the Buckeye State.

It is YOUR job to find qualified candidates in YOUR state to throw these Commie Bums OUT OF OFFICE. So get up off YOUR [three letter term for Democrats] and get it done.

House Republicans Unveil The True Road to Recovery

via email…

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement on the “Road to Recovery,” a detailed plan to curb spending, create jobs, and control the debt, in contrast to the irresponsible budget proposed by President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress, which spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much:

“Families and small businesses across America are struggling and looking to Washington for solutions. Unfortunately, the President’s budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much. Republicans have a better solution. Our Road to Recovery plan curbs spending, creates jobs and cuts taxes, and controls the debt at a time when the American people deserve responsible answers during this economic crisis. The President’s budget will hurt the economy and destroy jobs. By contrast, our Road to Recovery plan will strengthen the economy, create jobs, and restore fiscal sanity in Washington.

“This isn’t the first time Republicans offered better solutions, and the President and Democrats in Congress know that. This year, House Republicans have offered alternatives on the economy and jobs, children’s health care, college and retirement savings, and housing. Now, our Road to Recovery plan builds on the better budget principles I outlined for the President last week. It’s time for Washington Democrats to start doing what’s in the best interests of the American people and work with us to produce a fiscally-responsible budget that creates jobs and helps middle-class families.”

NOTE: The House GOP’s Road to Recovery plan curbs spending, creates jobs and lowers taxes, and controls the debt by:

  • Letting families and small businesses keep more of what they earn;
  • Ensuring federal budget doesn’t grow faster than family budgets;
  • Committing to real entitlement reform and expanding Americans’ access to affordable health care;
  • Ending the bailouts to protect taxpayers;
  • Reducing gas prices through an “all of the above” energy plan; and
  • Fighting inflation so prices of goods and services remain stable.

I was once again invited to participate in a conference call with Rep. Boehner this morning where he outlined this plan. Participants were given an opportunity to ask questions. I asked…

As the Democrat Caucus pushes forward with implementing the President’s budget and in the process eliminates his much touted “Middle-Class tax cut”, is the GOP Caucus prepared to take the Democrats and their President to the mat in the coming election (meaning the midterms) and remind the American people who exactly is responsible for raising taxes on the poorest segment of the population during the recession with the elimination of the 10% tax bracket and increased taxes on tobacco and other consumer products?

In his answer the Minority Leader assured us that we “don’t have to worry about that”. That a number of really good Conservative candidates are coming forward to challenge the liberals in the upcoming midterms.

The reason I asked the question was that the Democrats were left virtually unchallenged in the 2006 & 2008 elections on the subject of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans when in fact the Bush tax cuts created a lower tax bracket that was previously non-existent. When they are allowed to expire, that 10% bracket will be eliminated and those taxpayers currently paying that lowest rate will see a 50% increase in their rate when they find themselves back in the 15% bracket. Combine that with the implementation of new taxes on tobacco products on April 1st of this year and calls for an increase in the gasoline tax, the regressive nature of the Obamaramadingdong’s budget and tax proposals will hit all Americans. But they will have a larger impact on the poorest of the population. I am concerned that the liberal media will cover over these facts come election time should the GOP mount an ineffective campaign against the liberal fiction machine.

Another Ohio Blogger asked about the lack of Blue Dog Democrat opposition to the Obamaramadingdong’s agenda to which Rep. Boehner said that they are nothing more than “lap dogs for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and President Obama”. And that there are very few actual Conservative Democrats in the House.

When Justin Higgins brought up the subject of the national tea parties and asked whether or not they are being getting any attention on ‘the Hill’, Rep. Boehner reminded us that the hastily thrown together legislation that House Dems put together to insulate themselves from responsibility in the AIG bonus fiasco was a result of public outrage and that Congress responds to the engaged electorate. From this I took that we should be wearing out the phone lines, bombarding the emails, clogging the fax machines, and generally making ourselves into a force that the elected elites cannot ignore and eventually, we’ll get heard.

There have been calls on the public to send tea bags to their elected officials to protest the fiscal irresponsibility of the current Congress and their President – Obamaramadingdong. My information is that these tea bags are NOT being received by your elected elites. Because the bags can contain a potentially hazardous substance, they are being disposed of before delivery. Instead, the current method is to remove the tag from the tea bag and mail that in.

Just think, a typical box of tea bags contains 100 bags of tea. One has the ability to enjoy the tea and send each Senator a tea bag tag from just 1 box. Estimated retail cost $3. Postage on the other hand…

RNC Chairman Michael Steele’s Rebuttle to Obamaramadingdong’s State of the Economy

WASHINGTON– Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement tonight:

“Watching President Obama address our nation–and feeling the pride that is in every American’s heart–it’s worth pausing to celebrate our nation’s achievements. Yet even as we mark this historic event, we recognize the deep problems that continue to face our nation. Republicans are eager to work with President Obama on the challenges he discussed, especially restoring fiscal responsibility and growing our economy.

“After last year’s State of the Union, then-candidate Barack Obama asked the nation to imagine a time when a President’s agenda would draw standing ovations from both sides of the aisle. That sort of bipartisanship is an admirable goal–and one that unfortunately continues to elude Washington. The Democratic leadership in Congress must be willing to work with Republicans to stop out-of-control spending, promote the creation of jobs, and to keep our troops properly funded.

“Now would be a good time for this young Administration to ask the Democrat leaders in Congress to actually consider working in a bipartisan way to solve the real problems Americans are facing.

“I am more confident than ever that the American people will stand up for the principles our nation was founded on and will hold their representatives accountable to overcome the challenges that this nation faces.” emphasis mine

Unfortunately I do not share Chairman Steele’s optimism when speaking of bipartisanship when it comes to Reid, Pelosi, and especially Obamaramadingdong. I applaud his work in implementing his stated goals within the GOP BUT any hope of compromise and working together with the Obama Infestation is a pipe dream.

Bipartisanship is unattainable in the current political climate in Washington. With the Democrats heavily indebted to the extreme left and the GOP in rebuilding mode, I don’t see any wiggle room especially when bipartisanship to Democrats means Republican capitulation.

Those who voted against The Democrat Lard Act of 2009 need to keep that unity. Along with that the RNC led by Steele, the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the rank-in-file need to put pressure on Snowe, Collins, and Specter to bring them into line BEFORE any more additional harm is done to this nation.

Obama to Address the Nation AGAIN Tonight

Two weeks ago the Obamaramadingdong felt the need to go on national television during prime time and beg the American people to support passage of a bill written by the majority – his “stimulus package” that I affectionately call “The Democrat Lard Act of 2009.” Tonight he finds the need to address the people once again to give his version of the “state of the economy” – yawn.

Here’s the long and short of what you will hear.

The economy sucks. Bush is responsible. We have to raise taxes and spend money like drunken sailors. He inherited the problem and he has a plan to fix it.

What you won’t hear but should…

POTUS B. Obama: “I have no freaken clue what to do about the economy.”

Because that is the real truth.

I find it incredibly interesting that he is having an increased amount of Presidential Addresses. Why? I’m not certain mind you but I do have a theory. I believe he’s in love with his own voice.

The truth be told, Mr. Obamaramadingdong is only good at making speeches.

“Just Words… Just Speeches…”

Actually governing he’s a bit of a dolt. One thing I can say positive about the turd… He knows politics.

He snagged Clinton for Sec of State to isolate her from competition in 2012.
He delegated the task of crafting his stimulus to Reid and Pelosi so when it fails he can shift the blame to them.

Politicking is different from governing. He is now finding out the difference.

Thanks Mr. Obamaramadingdong for having this address on a Tuesday. There isn’t anything viable on television anyway. We are planning on watching a video when the Turd-in-Chief begins to speak. Lord only knows when that will be. He’s notoriously late for everything.

Arkansas Dem Party Chairman Shot, Leftards Blame Conservative Talkers

August 13, 2008 Election 2008, Libtards on Parade, Lunatic Lefties, News, Opinion Comments Off

When the story broke that the Arkansas Democrat Party Chairman was shot in his office, I decided to leave the story alone. At least until it played out. That said however, some on the left heard the news, put on their tinfoil hats and began ranting.

Stop the ACLU colleague Cassy Fiano posted evidence from the lefties as proof along with a commentary that whole heartedly concur with.

From Stop the ACLU:

UPDATE: Bill Gwatney has died from his injuries.. My heart goes out to his family, who must be sick with grief over this senseless tragedy.

Bill Gwatney, chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party, was shot today and is in critical condition. This was a horrible, terrible, cowardly attack and I hope whoever did it finds justice swiftly.

Who’s guilty? Well, if you listen to the lefties, it’s apparently conservatives. Michelle Malkin got this lovely e-mail:

Once again the hate you and folks like Hannity spew has caused another right wing nut to resort to violence. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26181389/ What you do is nothing less than starting a riot and you should be held accountable. You should be in jail. Your hate turns people to murder.

And of course, the DUmmies are up in arms:

Tandalayo_Scheisskopf: There will be more. That said, it is a sad commentary that such brutal events may serve to break up the complacency and magical thinking in our own ranks.

I repeat: There will be more of these horrible events between now and November and if we win, after as well.

bluestateguy: These talk radio hosts need to be stopped. They are pushing fragile people over the edge with their hateful bile.

tridim: RW hate radio has been telling their listeners to take out Dems for years. You really don’t think that has an effect?

Blue_Tires: Liddy and plenty others during the Clinton/Reno years[.] of course, they never say “go out and kill dems” directly, but there is a phone book’s worth of loaded codewords, subtext, and calls for action that can only be interpreted one way

maxrandb: Right-wing hate gives the guy a match, a can of gasoline, and for 24/7/365 a year tells him “that building over there is the root of all evil”

Then, when the guy burns the building to the ground, they say; “I have no idea why a person would do such a thing”.

Remember, some of the first folks dealt with at Nuremberg were the propagandist.

dbonds: Right Wing Terrorist in the US have been showing their ugly heads lately. Just need eyes to see it.

kgfnally: Isn’t that exactly how it started in Rwanda, though? Hate radio?

And didn’t that guy that shot up the church recently have books by these people in his car?

Yeah, I’d say it is time, and past time, to hold the hatemongers on talk radio accountable.

AllieB: Julius Streicher (sp?) was a Nazi propagandist tried and executed after WWII. We have in the past held hatemongers accountable, and it’s time that we did it in this country.

indenturedebtor: Theres a big difference between advocating an opposite view – like “We need to cut back on green house gasses or we’re all buggered.” and advocating a course of action that results in an SUV dealership being burned. The hatemonger facists are directly advocating murder, and selling it as a patriotic duty.

Um, how is that different again from the nazi and rwanda propaganda? Please do tell. Looks about the same to me.

zonmoy: Differences with the democrats is that the democrats call for giving the republicans fair trials before executing them. republicans call for assasinating democrats and everybody else the dont like. If they give a trial they create a kangaroo court to try them and make sure they get convicted.

LiberalEsto: White man in 40s, truck[.] Reminds me of the guy that shot up the Unitarian Church in Knoxville a few weeks ago.

Is this a conspiracy?

librechick: …haven’t we all been expecting this since the church shooting? or, since Limbaugh decided to tell his people to kill us?

DAMN!

TrogL: then you need to start listening to AM radio[.] God knows why, one of the local stations up here carries Rush Limbaugh in all his glory. Somebody in my workplace had it on all day until I filed a sexual harassment complaint (cause of all the homophobic crap) and had it shut down. In the meantime I had to listen to Rush babble away. In his “joking” way, he often recommends violence against all sorts of people, especially liberals and members of the Democratic party.

peace13: I think about it every Tuesday when I stand at the peace vigil. When people bring little children to stand with us I am always on the lookout. If one of Rush’s nut cases comes a calling I want to be able to shield the little guys. Only in america can entertainers encourage carnage and get paid for it.

I could keep going, but you can only wade through sewage for so long before you get sick of the stench. DailyKos had similar reactions.

There aren’t many details yet, but the rumor is apparently that the shooter worked at Gwatney Chevrolet and was laid off.

Moments before the Democratic headquarters shooting, a man with a gun had threatened an employee at that Arkansas State Baptist Convention headquarters seven blocks east.

Dan Jordan, the denomination’s business manager, said a man pointed a gun at the convention’s business manager but he didn’t know if it was the same suspect. Jordan said that, when the man pointed the gun at the manager, the manager asked him what was wrong. The man said “I lost my job,” according to Jordan.

But I guess a sensible motive is just not as much fun for the crazy lefties as feeding into their paranoid delusions. The gunman is dead, so I guess we can never know for sure what his motives were. But that doesn’t keep the moonbats from getting all excited about this. This is probably the best news story the DUmmies have come across all month. They love this stuff! They hope and pray for tragedies like this to happen, because in the rare occasions that they do, they get to wallow in their paranoia, play victim, and feel persecuted (just look at the DUmmie talking about his peace vigil). All they need is the information that it was a white guy who drove a pick-up truck, and BOOM!, it’s a right-wing nutjob who loves Limbaugh, Hannity, and Michelle and is just carrying out orders from his idols.

These wackjobs don’t care one tiny iota that a family has just lost a father and a husband. They aren’t expressing sympathy, sadness, grief, or anything besides pure hatred for those who have the guts to express points of view that they don’t like. They aren’t wishing the family well during this difficult time or hoping for a speedy recovery for Gwatney. Oh, no. They’re too busy getting their panties in a wad entertaining their delusions to bother feeling sympathy or horror over this tragedy.

And yet they say we’re the ones who intimidate people, who are trying to stifle free speech. Well, it isn’t right wingers sending out intimidation letters to those who choose to donate money to Democrats. It isn’t right wingers blaming the opposition every time some kind of tragedy befalls someone on our side. It isn’t right wingers trying to silence liberals and Democrats. It isn’t right wingers accusing liberals and Democrats of murder just for expressing opinions that we don’t like. And it isn’t right wingers gloating and celebrating every time a prominent Democrat or liberal dies or becomes sick. No, these are all trademarks of today’s liberals, and it’s disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. When concern for your own takes a backseat to hate for the other, it’s time to admit you have a serious problem. ASAP.

For what it’s worth, I think this is an absolutely terrible tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Gwatney’s family and friends during this difficult time. And as for Mr. Gwatney himself, I hope he heals quickly and thoroughly and is able to bounce back right away.

Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin

Attention readers,

While retrieving Cassy Fiano’s post from Stop the ACLU, it was being updated to include the fact that Mr. Gawtney has passed away. Mrs. Gribbit and I join Cassy and all the contributors at Stop the ACLU in sending our sympathies to the Gawtney family as they struggle with their grief. He was a man working to accomplish what he felt was right for our nation. We may not agree with his approach, but we honor his work. Others choose not to become involved but he chose to be involved.

Rest in peace Bill Gawtney. May the Lord take you into His kingdom and comfort your loved ones.

Gribbit

I’ve been meaning to comment on November’s unemployment numbers since their release but have been pulled in several other directions and my blogging efforts are the casualty. That said, here are my thoughts on the massive recovery in the job sector…
First off, and this may be news to all the pinheads who believe the Infestation’s [...]

Even If The Birth Certificate Is Real, Is Obama Eligible?

July 28, 2009

A lot of effort is going into ascertaining whether Barack Obama’s birth took place in Hawaii or not. My position is simple, irregardless if he was a natural born citizen at the time of his birth, did he forfeit that birth right when his mother and step-father took him to Indonesia and registered him for [...]

Of cabbages–and kings–

July 26, 2009

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”
from ‘The Walrus and The Carpenter’ – Lewis Carroll
This quotation from ‘The Walrus and The Carpenter’ is often quoted in relation to the truth. A truth that someone may not [...]

In The Shadow of Socialized Medicine

Normally Dem Friendly AP Calls Obama Out on Deficit Responsibility Denial

President Juggears attempted to shift blame for the escalating federal budget deficit onto his predecessor…

via email…

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement on the “Road to Recovery,” a detailed plan to curb spending, create jobs, and control the debt, in contrast to the irresponsible budget proposed by President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress, which spends too much, taxes too much and borrows [...]

WASHINGTON– Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement tonight:

Obama to Address the Nation AGAIN Tonight

February 24, 2009

Two weeks ago the Obamaramadingdong felt the need to go on national television during prime time and beg the American people to support passage of a bill written by the majority – his “stimulus package” that I affectionately call “The Democrat Lard Act of 2009.” Tonight he finds the need to address the people once [...]
